  • @meticulous10 People with the same education level but degrees of different value should be paid according to the relevance of their education to their work.

  • Considering that nearly 100% of workplace fatalities are male, women are far from working equal jobs, though I know the video misleads by stating equal value.

Equal value states that people with the same level of education and work experience are paid the same (HR vs. Engineering). This ignores the value of the education, with women collecting the majority degrees in Psychology, Erducation, etc. and only a 20% participation rate in Computer Science/Math/Physics/Physical Sciences.

  • "Paid 23% less than men performing work of equal value"

The US Dept. of Labor documents that most of this difference is due to fewer hours worked by women in part-time jobs. To expect women to be paid the same for equivalent work for fewer hours would mean that women are paid more.

  • "Pay equality is essential to women's survival"

There are serious flaws with the statistics provided. All of the studies in question are conducted by partisan political orgs. None of them are double blinded.

Women in both of my lines of work are paid the same. They get the same pay grade while performing military duties, and they get the same bottom dollar hourly pay I get for working with "ungovernable youth".We need a new law requiring all orgs to conduct third party double blinded studies.
