  • Sweet vid, I have only once that I can recall seen CP power in my life; keep in mind I am in Southern California. God bess man!

  • cp does not have many mac's usually use the 4400's or see the sd40-2s

  • @55098 or the ES44AC's

  • @55098 yea and their SD90MACs are 4300HP. But CN uses only a few GEs and their newest purchases are SD70ACes, and they are just as cool sounding as these.

  • @GordonFreemanD40 CN's new locomotives 8800-8964 are SD70M-2 's not SD70ace 's

  • Great catch I caught him in Ayr the same day. I got the train # wrong though.

  • these are not mac 90s they have the 710 in them these two locos not the 6000 hp the only 6000 hp locos cp has are decomitioned in the winipeg yard

  • Not allowed in the US because of the Tier 2 Tier 3 and Tier 4 emissions laws which is a bunch of crap.

  • @nbtrainlvr94 Those are SD9043's same engine as 70ace, no issue with them crossing into US? 16-710H engine is Tier 3, 265H engine is currently Tier 2 as used in JT56ACe. I wouldn't call MAC-H simply killed by EPA, Class 1 railroads want 4300hp not 6000. Tier 4 is for model year locomotives 2017-2025.

  • @GMHGTO Those aere therre are CP SD90MACs that are 6000 HP and those arent allowed into the U.S.

  • @nbtrainlvr94 They're both SD9043's dillweed

    Owner: Canadian Pacific Railway

    Model: SD9043MAC Built As: CP 9112 (SD9043MAC)

Serial Number: 976842-13 Order No: 976842

    Frame Number: 976842-13 Built: 0/1998

  • @GMHGTO Oh ok i didnt know asshole

  • @nbtrainlvr94 no prob, peace. MAC-H have different cab main visual difference. SD9043MAC proved to be more popular then EMD's original intention. It has the 6000hp radiators, traction motors etc. but 4300hp.

  • @GMHGTO Well your calling me a dillweed? and I know like I said the SD90MAC-H is NOT ALLOWED IN THE U.S.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you get that? LOL

  • @nbtrainlvr94 Just an interesting point to throw into the conversation. Why would they not be allowed in the US? UP built the DD40X (8 axle, longest and most powerful diesel locomotive at 6600 horse power) The AC4400 and SD90MAC has come close but UP's DD40X remains the largest. Which brings up the point, why would they be allowed in the US but not the 90MAC?

  • @themattrat1995 OK well let's see the AC4400CW and the DD40AX are two totally different things...........also when the DD40 was built there were environmental restrictions the SD90MAC with 6000 HP is not allowed because of EPA standards the AC4400 meets EPa standards...............plus tthe only remaining DD40 that runs never really runs the engine is always off.

  • @nbtrainlvr94 I forgot to say other than the EPa standards. sorry bout that! And I was referring to the past when the DD40X was run most.

  • @themattrat1995 Oh ok and yeah if the EPA wasnt so strict they could run

  • Thanks you, Videos very nice,

  • Yeah dude! It looks great here as it did from your viewfinder. This is the best catch of the day.

  • Awesome catch Jon!! I caught this guy as well.

  • Nice! :)
