  • Im surprised they dont do an EGR delete when they install it

  • dang i got a v6 1999 mustang that shit kills gas if i put the same shit they did i am going to lose a shit load of gas

  • Nice gear .... there is a pain in the as tho it's way harder to sell a V6 compared to a V8 ... nice tho V6 is pretty much ok and as said lower insurance ....

  • fuk thats alot of gain and their still running stock exhaust, you open that thing up and thats another 10 hp easy

  • your not getting the gt suspension and being lighter is nice but its only about 100-200 pound lighter so not much of a difference that only going to be 1-2 tenths of a second faster in the quarter mile if its the same power. i had a 2001 v6 and now i have a 2002 gt and the weight difference is 100 pounds and if you get a convertible then add another 100 pounds, with th gt you get parts that can handle more power without breaking and you get better suspension

  • i hope they put in forged internals

  • @BeastGT87 everything is pre tested so you dont have to so any bottom end work, thats why it only makes about 6 lbs of boost..

  • @blakegorman69 at least that saves you some money

  • what if you put a remote sts turbo on a GT?

  • where can i get this kit?

  • Would we be able to use the Eaton M112 instead of the lil M90?

  • lol retards i would keep the body the same drop it maybe some 20's bbs,put the supercharger with full exhaust system on it and fuck with every body that had attitude about v6's,but my 3.8 is suitable, once i get it built :P

  • for the love of god thats a rusty steel driveshaft... all that extra power and, steel... lol.....

  • Do they make a kit for the 4.6L S197 GT? The roushcharger/ford racing whipple is overpriced. $1000 just to buy the name.

  • if I had a mustang to supercharge, I'd go Kenne Bell. But this was still a nice set up

  • fuck 3.73!!!! 4.10 =)

  • So did they just put a supercharger into a bone stock motor besides the bigger injectors? Isn't that a good way to blow a head or something?

  • Mr@Banshee6 they don't offer one. If you want a roots blower do they split port swap, and buy a kit from MySteed Performance to put an M112 on it.

  • Why wouldn't they do the X Charger Xtreme? That is the Intercooled version.

  • got a question, if i wanted to install a super ot turbo on my 94 ford explorers 4.0l v6 and was to buy used parts from a local junkyard, what model #s or names would i be looking for?? is it possible with this vehicle of this age?? and would you ever reccomend putting those on a motor with over 240k miles on it?? i heard turbos actually can give a motor more gas mileage.

  • hi, do u have to upgrade the rear end and the gears or can you keep it stock?

  • @JPMRIR2

you could do that but the stock rear axle wasnt built for that much hp, so you run the risk of damaging/breaking it. as far as gears go its just different ratios to fit the increase in torque better

  • can i get a list of the parts i would need for my v6 when i get this xcharger. cus i know ill need the 8.8 limited slip differentials

  • @krs171990 - you bum v6 in muscle cars with to much arrogance. new camaro V6 smokes GT's. and joe cross country makes a great point. the stock v6's are for the high school girls that want to look like they have a sporty car. the GT is much different from the V6 4.0. not to mention there is just as many parts for the v6 as the GT. mustang V6's have as much history as the GT and are just as popular. so ford is doing it right. affordable, upgradable, and the mustang has never had a lost generation.

  • @ridemx323 great point. the v6 does have a lot of history and aftermarket support. I think the new v6 stang is impressive as well. by the way, i dont know of any v6 camaro outrunning the mustang gt

  • Comment removed

  • Did they forget about the episode with the rims and exhaust or am I just not seeing it?

  • 4:35 Upgrade the suspension!!!

  • Gt gt gt. If you really need a gt then you must have something your trying to make up for. The new mustangs look good no matter what in them. And who gives a shit if some one wants a turbo on a v6 stop hating

  • Comment removed

  • i think i will just stick with my GT! cause no matter what when you pop the hood on a v6 next to a GT doesn't matter if you have a supercharger you still have to admit you bought a muscle car with a v6!!!

  • Do u guys have one for a 95 and at what price?

  • hey can i install this on a 200 v 3.8liter ?? damn this is nice

  • I raced my cousin with my 2000 v6 mustang with his infinity g35 year 2004 i smoked him on the road the v6 mustang are fast you just need to maintain your car the best would be for all mutang owner to buy a motor flush from autozone it cost only 5 dollars

  • all this to my stock v8.. same numbers :)

  • Its not the same numbers gts make like 260-280tops to the wheels

  • ill take that white cobra in the back :p

  • im sorry, but for the cost of all those parts i might as well just buy the GT Premium with a couple thousand miles on it, i mean if the whole point was to make it just better than the v8 and not push it farther say into the 400hp range then it isnt worth all the trouble, like my 4.0 is pushing 413 rwhp and i literally dumped cash into it

  • sry but im stickin with the v8 on this one... go twin turbo for the price of that blower

  • hey do they make that charger for a 98 v6 and if so how much does this cost

  • did 2007 mustangs have a class roof?

  • The v6 being lighter is why it could out run a car with the same tq.

  • you can build a fast street car out of a v6 because it makes a lot of torque. It is actually capable of producing a better tq to hp ratio than a v8. Since most street races are from a light or slow roll, a v6 can be made to out run a car on the street that may have a more hp but has the same tq because tq gets the car to a higher speed while hp keeps you there. Granted it is more practical and economical to build a v8, but if you already have the car and want something different then go ahead.

  • would u need to upgrade the fuel injectors?

  • they did at 2:44

  • Supercharger is okay. Only get a supercharger because it's easy to install as compared to a turbo kit. Turbo is faster but the extra tubing can be a pain if you don't know what you're doing.

  • yeah your probably right but guess what they strapped the CAR to the dyno and got those number so they are full of shit, in order to get the h.p. at the flywheel the motor needs to be put on a dyno(pull from the car) so yeah fuck the v6 when you get the same outta stock GT to this 4,000+ dollar bolt on mods..... you can do a hell of a lot more with a v8 for less money plus you can get used v8 shit easy compared to junk v6 shit.

  • its not over 100 horsepower? can they count? it went from 186 to 271. thats just ABOUT 100 horsepower. why do they keep saying 140 horsepower gains? and i started laughing when they said it would have 340 horsepower. lmao

  • thats wheel horse power bro, witch is less than brake horsepower, the 186 to 271 rear wheel horsepower jump is over 100 HP at the crank

  • oh maybe your right.

  • not really a fan of american cars but i love the backyard engineering of there engines no need to change pistons, crank, spanner mans dream

  • need to make it for 99-04 v6 stangs.

  • idk a new v6 goes for $20,995 while a gt goes for $27,995 so thats a $7,000 difference add the x-charger ($4,500) and the rear end ($1,000) and now you have a car that is about $26,495 so its still cheaper than the gt, weighs less, less insurance, and has about the same power as the gt. i think its a good deal for the ppl who have a v6 and just want a bit more power.

  • @josecrosscountry Your absolutely right. Makes alot more sense to me also, and the V6 on the highway will be alot better on gas if you can keep out of the throttle that is...

  • @josecrosscountry youll find V6s for 8-12k now with decent mileage, you wont ever find a GT for under 17k at the lowest with ridiculous miles lol, V6 V8 its all preference mate

  • @josecrosscountry $21.000?!?! :O THATS CHEAP!!

  • Lamo build to beat a gt lol how much that investment.... I would have just bought a gt to begin with and or 5.0.....

  • wheres the dual exhaust and headers? put those and a tune up and you could kill a GT....for 4-7 grand on top of the V6 retail, you might as well buy a 5.0L crate engine from roush

  • i guess they think everyone that watches this show cant do math...

  • started at 186 hp and ended up at 271 dumbass guy said 340 then at end said they made a easy 100 hp? come on 271-186 is only 85 hp gain for what 4 grand fuck that just buy a v8

  • you sir have common sense, i thumbs up you, i mean a 302 crate engine with that crap would make the non GT coupe a killer

  • Its prolly 340 at the fly wheel. with a gain of over 100 at the fly wheel. But you're right it is only 85 at the rears because the drive train bogs it down.

  • first of all that 100 hp gain was being meassure at the flywheel, the 186 to 271 is at the wheels and is significantyl less than at the fly wheel or brake horsepower as it is also called and no they shouldnt fuck that at get a V8

  • 185 Stock RWHP

271 after Super Charger, he said 340 HP... Crush a Mustan GT?

My 2008 GT was 302 HP Stock

I added everything but a Super Charger and I am 374 RWHP. I got 19 miles per gallon vs a V6 at 21... wow!!

I am adding a Super Charger next year. I will be around 500 HP.

  • Instead bashing on v6 mustangs and being a pussy... How about you get some forged internals, a turbo (run it at 18psi), and get some nitrous?

  • I did not bash anything. The guy said 340 HP and Dyno said 271....

    Turbo's & Nitrous,, no interest ....

Just a Whipple Super Charger... coming soon.

  • Well a turbo you can run more boost if I am correct. Plus you can intercool that son of a bitch. The guy said it has a HP rating of 340... I"ve seen some guys with 330 with the x charger. Plus you can get ported heads and bigger cams, a set of long tubes and some other goodies to get that thing in the mid 300s.

  • if you actually did dyno your imaginary mustang stock, then it would have really be running at about 280 hp stock. Ford says the engine is 300 on the engine dyno, on the chassis dyno it loses a good bit of power.

so yes, it could be in GT beating range, possibly slightly modified GT beating range if the GT driver is a complete ass-hat.

dont believe me? look up some REAL dyno numbers of a dyno'ed stock GTs.

  • Ahh come on...you don't hate the mustang at all do you^^

  • Shoulda just bought a GT to start with. Why waste your time on a gutless v6?

  • because, what better way to piss off douche bags like yourself?

  • way to be an ass buttfuck. I was trying to be slightly constructive. Not completely destructive like you are to young boys assholes.

    Go dig yourself a grave!

  • because people have different taste. just because it has two less cylinders doesnt make it any less of an automobile than a gt mustang. i'm all for v8's but a lot of v6's are fucking fast..ever heard of a buick regal t type or a buick grand national? fastest production car in the world for a period of time. you obviously aren't that into cars or you would respect every car all the same.

  • when you supercharge can you modify the lbs of boost or it cames with determinated boost??

  • you can swap out the supercharger pully for a smaller one, which should give a few extra pounds. however, you might have to buy a smaller belt to go with it. still a good investment though

  • wow easy install but u deffinatly wont beat out any gt mustang on the road..maby bone stock ya but ide like to see u take a cobra or gt with a kenne bell sor whipple upercharger

  • that was an increase of over 100 horsepower. last i checked 271--186=84 horsepower.

  • thats an increase of 100 brake horse power whic is measure at the fly wheel. the 270 your see is wheel horsepower. which can be 15 to 25% less than BHP and dyno jets measure in rwhp

  • They aren't good at math.

  • hahaha

  • can any one tell me whats better for my mustang 07 v6 a vortech system V-3 Si-Trim High-Output System - Polished HP/TQ: 330/337 Boost (PSIG or a procharger 9 psi w/ P-1SC 60-65% hp+

  • hey Kreigsmann! you need to stop saying all this crap, okay. you are saying all of this because you cant afford any of this stuff! so shut up and stay away from these videos because you don't derserve to watch them!

  • no man your wrong, ford is actualy doin fairly well in a time a terrible economic hard ships. and if your fucking hate mustangs so much than why did you watch this video. fucking pussy

  • their doin good cause their cheap!!!

    ford IS foreign labor!!!!!

ford is only good for broncos and f350s

and the cleavland V8 anything else is Fucked On Race Day

  • I have so many people pissed off?

your the only one who replyed....

you must be sooooo pathetic..probably dont have a car!!

you know what you should do?

you should spend all of your money you got giving blowjobs buy a mustang and drive off a cliff...that should stop you from jacking off of gay porn..

  • your real fucking tough man acting this way over the internet. fucking pussy.

  • really? WOW!

look at you ya bitch your the one who replied twice!

i watched the vid because the for 3.8 v6 is aslightly simular to the buick 3800 a REAL american made engine.

not some cheap gook zipperhead made Vshit ford!!

  • the 4.0 is made in cologne germany yes that is true but some things for makes are in the united states. and alot of things GM arent made hear. no company makes all there products in there home country of operations. of and just to clear things up i honestly didnt know that i replied to teh same guy twice

  • well yea no company makes all of their stuff here

but at least GM stay away from chinese labor.

EXEPT things like stereos and plastics are made in china because they dont need to be durable. but chassis and engines have to be made in a non communist country. my car was made in canada and all of the parts were made here or there. exept the radio.

the cologne v6 is a milestone of an engine.

personally i would rather have that than a small block v8 chevy engine. its just better

    and more durable

  • The mustang is made in Flat Rock MI and the V6 is a cologne built V6 from Germany.

    facts? Got any!

Oh and for the record stop pretending to be Dirty Harry with your Gran Torino talk...its making you look like an idiot and a copycat.

  • the hell r u talking about!!

theres far more mustangs that can be built in one place either way their still peices of shit...

and the fuck r u saying im copying anyone.

if anything your pretending to be chris crocker...

    ya BITCH!!

  • Wonderful...continue this onslaught of Childishness...it amuses me!

  • no.. ill leave that to you.

    do you have a mustang?

  • yes i do a 2007 s197...and have yet to observe any problems with it...so now its my turn..."I don't know what the hell your talking about"

  • who are you quoting??

and how much did that car cost

theres no way youve earned that on a honest salary....

    i have a chevy lumina .. a REAL car 0-60 in about 6.5 sec

pretty good considering i made all the mods myself. stock did about 0-60 in a pathetic 10

of course your mustang does maybe 0-60 in under 5.. btw is it turbo??

  • A corrected quote from you:

"the hell r u talking about!!"

Needless to say, for now its stock...and no I'm and engineer...if that explains anything.

Lumina is a good car....does it have the 3800 or the iron duke?

  • corrected quote hahah

neither engine was available for that car for the year. which i failed to mention.. 1992. it has a 3.4 DOHC.. great engine but lots of maintenance.

the 3800 is probably what im going to get put in if i do an engine swap because of all the possible mods...like roller rockers.. the iron duke only peaks 90 hp but lasts forever theres almost no maintenance... has timing sprockets and no chains or belts.. its the engine the mail trucks use.

what company do you work for. ford?

  • I work for a structural Steel consulting firm for major commercial construction...Mesco Building Solutions

  • sounds like your doing pretty good then..

i vacume cars.... and make biodiesel.

what r your plans for mods on the mustang?

    intake? exhaust?

  • I have quite a bit planned for it...I'm thinking about going to Livernoise and have them build me a Supercharger block and use their racing internals...(stage 2 heads...Stage three is not streetable) and then go to Kenny bell and take a look at their 2.8L mammoth, replace the transmission with a TR6060 six speed. (the stock transi is strong enough...I just want six speeds.) and then the usual running gear replacements. No exterior mods. I like a 600+ Hp Sleeper ^^

  • nice

the transmission will probably be the hardest of those mods because the speedometer will need to be modified for 6 speeds.

the supercharger can i think be mounted on the stock block with a manifold adapter you can probably put on a M90 stage VI...

i dont think you can pull of the sleeper look with a new mustang. its too good lookin of a car.

  • And for the record you fail to explain to the youtube community your OPINION about the mustang...and what exactly you truthfully know about it other then other peoples opinions? NOT ONLY THAT.... I'm not a female dog...where do you get that idea? No your just a bastard with no life ahead of himself other then to be a wannabe Nazi...of which is just an Embarrassment on society...shall I continue?

  • please do.

    i need some comedy..

  • you'd get more power for your money with a homebuilt turbo system, but with exhaust, better intake, maybe some porting, a real dyno tune, and water/meth injection, this would be a fun car that's a little cheaper than a bolt on gt, and could still keep up

  • how is going from 180 to 270 over 100hp gain? and i dont think it has enough power to be called a GT killer both of my gts make more power than that and they are older

  • stock gt killer is more accurate.. any gt w/ exhaust..intake...tune... will probably beat it, and in real world if ur racing ur car, 8 out of 10 times your car isn't stock

  • why would they make it look like a mustang gt wats the point leave like a v6 mustang looks like, mine makes around 335whp with 8psi with single turbo, i left mine lookin stock just lower with painted stock rims to black, it doesnt catch too much attention

  • Waste of money. For 2 grand over a base v6 you can get a base GT... This wimpy SC they offer doesnt even break 300 rwhp. SAD AS HELL.

  • What country are you living in Demo? The base GT is $7000 more than the base V6.

  • not to mention that insurance would be more.

  • 7500 with the x charger but I didn't mention that so... Labor was on me.

  • when u make the mustang supercharged do u have to change the pistons to forged 1? like a turbo or u just put the supercharger there and its all?

  • only if it makes over 450bhp, which this kit is NO WHERE NEAR hitting.

  • hi, i hav a 05 v6 stang and itz automatic i waz wonderin is there any way i could install Xcharger in an automatic stang and if so how much would it cost?? plz help....!

  • just dont do it...... crate motor and lose the auto too only acceptable if you are a girl

  • Man why the fuck didn't GM make more aftermarket parts for the V6 Camaro's and Firebirds?!?! I fucking hate GM sometimes!.

  • I supercharged also, going with X-Charger. Excellant setup and ease of instalation. The difference was amazing, Zero throttle lag. They sell a HI-PO kit (Hi performance) which takes advantage of using an intercooler and If im not mistaken a different pulley setup. But all in all the 6 will spank a GT. Lots of fun, and who doesnt love the SC whine

  • they should put a full exhaust setup kit

  • Comment removed

  • intercooler goes a long way. have they thought of wat happens when its heat soaked

  • a couple hours...

    and a few thousand bucks

  • really, a v6, really

  • just wondering if you have to modify the bottom end of the engine at all when you put on the S/C? Ive heard of people throwing rods without doing it so?

  • No, the 4.0 has forged rods from the factory, it is stout. Tons of us X-Charger guys have put lots of miles on without any problems.

  • why spend all this money on a v6 buy a gt wtf !

  • can this supercharger be used on a 2002 v6 mustang.

  • No its only for the 2005's and up. I think you can convert the supercharger off the 2003-2004 cobra which is almost the same, but I dont know for shure.

  • Close, but the 03-04 uses a Eaton 112 whereas this is a 90. haven't seen anyone put the 112 on a 4.0...yet

  • Comment removed

  • dyno jet sucks not accurate should of used mustang dyno for more accurate readings. i am thinking of getting one of these and have replaced 7.5 to 8.8 aluminum drive shaft throttle body and a tune there coming out with inter cooler soon hopefully. increase of 45hp i herd

  • yes, the intercooler is promising somewhere along the lines of 40 hp.. however noone knows when exactly its coming out

  • Now I'm no mathamagician. However stock reading on the dyno of 186hp, X-charger to 271hp.

Exactly how is that an increase of OVER 100hp?

    :D

But besides that, very informative bits about the X-Charger. Nice to see the installation is actually as easy as advertised.

  • That is because that is a REAR wheel dyno test, not a total hp test. There is a power loss, typically 15-18% on a rear wheel dyno.

  • Yes, 15-18% loss. When you measure the flywheel HP compared to RWHP. However what is shown is a dyno chart listing stock V6 RWHP (186) to X-Charged RWHP (271). Meaning that the power gain is an increase of just under 100 RWHP. It is an 85 RWHP increase. Still a big increase for a 3.0 pully putting out 6-7psi of boost. I'm doing the same thing to my Mustang this winter most likely. Will probably also snag the 8.8 rear while I'm at it.

  • Comment removed

  • she got some nice crutch

  • mine #43 has been on since November. I can beat many GT's,not all but many. The instal took a couple days because I did it alone in a cold garage. The thing fired righ up first turn of the key. No prior mods, very complete kit, witht he tune.On street tires I turn reguarly low 14's and even a 13.889.

Going for 13's and 100 mph before the season ends.New drag radials should make it happen,,check out my post. That was first time out

  • hey guys

im thinking about exchanging my stock 3.9L V6 engine in my 2004 mustang for a V8

any ideas? is it even possible?

send me a message or something

  • Anything is possible mate... I'm sure about the SN-95 body or the power-train. Like most v6 to v8 swaps, necessary changes are required for the suspension and power-train. First you need the motor and the CORRECT year model ECM. Then you most upgrade your transmission and drive shaft, and a new rear end. Next is a new beefer radiator. Then a longer Steering column. Last is switching out the lighter dampers, shocks and springs because you are going to be running a heavier motor. (to be cont.)

  • You are looking at $3000 for the engine, $500-$800 ECM, $2000 for the transmission, $500 for the drive shaft, $800 for new rear end, $700 steering column, $2000 for the suspension. Probably a $150 for shop hour for installion. You are looking at maybe a $14,000 fee. So in my opinion I would just trade your car off for a GT Mustang it will save you money in the long run... Hope this helps...

  • then 94-98 3.8s can use the m90s off the tbird, the 99-04s can use the m112s off the 03/04 cobra

  • its a great system, but i can tell you, this video made it look like it would be so much of a faster install than it really was

  • Nice segment. Really showed the ease of install and positive effect on the 4.0 well.

I've had a X-Charger on my car since the were released (S/N 004...) Really happy with it, and the support from Dave Vanek and Doug at Bamachips is world class.

  • wondering about replacing 3.8 w/the "4.0" (with x-charger of course) in a 94+ mustang. anyone know if it is easy? thank you StreetLeagalTV for the videos :)

  • That is a good question, not sure how that works. I'd contact Dave Vanek @ Explorer Express. They are the V6 experts. Dave's # is 707-254-7025

  • what were the performance upgrades before the supercharger was installed?

  • Nothing engine wise - it was 100% stock

  • alright, thanks

  • this kit should fit on a 4.2L f150 right?

  • no that is a 3.8 block in the f-150, different intake manifold

  • how much does this x-charger cost?

  • Call David @ Explorer Express

    toll-free: 888-EXPLORER (888-397-5673)

    707-254-7025

    fax: 707-254-9629

  • I think about $4,000

  • yes the gt might have 5hp moor know but there is still the stock exhaust on this car chang that out to a high flow exhaust you will be well about that 5 moor hp that gt has

  • ROFL, My '07 GT with CAI and Exhaust still makes 5 HP more than this with a supercharger

  • Yeah, but this one is a V6, and it cost less than your GT even with all of the add ons!

  • yea but the v6 is lighter so therefore that xcharged v6 would beat ur GT

  • 132 pounds lighter based upon specs from Motor Trend. And that 5 hp higher is with the factory tune. With a tune I'm pretty sure I could hit 300 rwhp easy.

  • COOL!!! go watch GT videos then

  • lol, ok guess I should.

But seriously guys, nothing but love. :)

  • Awesome to see that the X-Charger is getting out and about now. Had mine on for a while now.. what 4... 5 months. I Love It! Can't wait for the intercooler to come out for it lol.

    Randys06v6

  • Nice video. As a very happy X-Charger owner for more than a year, I can verify the positive comments made regarding ease of install, the quality of the manual, and the wonderful improvemment it makes to the 4.0 Mustang.

  • p.s. See my YouTube profile for additional X-Charger video

  • That is so awesome, I would love to do this to mine!
