She is a fantastic politician, there's no comparison between her and that fuck-up David Miller. He thinks that he can just shake the money tree everytime funds run a little short, Hazel has a more proactive and long term solution.

torylivingston , how in the world can you compare Toronto, a city that is 175 years old with a new (30 year old) Mississauga that's in its late growth stage?

A new City gorged fat on development fees, an intenational airport right in it, inside one of the wealthiest parts of Ontario... fact is, it'd be tough to f**** up as mayor of Mississauga.

McCallion had it easy. And to her credit, she's admitted that.

Okay, but she could have chosen like many other politicians to spend that wealth frivilously, but instead she ensures careful spending and accountability. And as such, her city has been debt free for most of its history, since 1978. I don't think it has anything to do with how old or new the city is.

Toronto wastes unbelievable amounts of money where it is least needed. They need Miller out of the mayor's chair and Rob Ford in.

Can't comment on the Toronto situation, you'd know that better than me.

I really hate to tell you this but money has been spent frivously (Mississauga and I know people don't believe this but it is confirmed through Freedom of Information, there's no accountability. and --no media in Mississauga!
