I love the Glory to Hail Tag after Touchdowns, you guys tore it up. Hands down, Redcoats best marching band in the land. That's a bit of biased remark.
As a former member of the Redcoat band, I can tell you that Glory is treated more like a fight song than Hail, i.e. we play it after touchdowns, when the team comes out, etc. During games, "Hail to Georgia" is usually played after field goals, and sometimes after the extra point on a touchdown. It is almost always played as part of the "Bulldog March Medley", which includes two other cheers and concludes with Glory. Very few students even know the words to "Hail to Georgia."
Mizzou seems to have a similar issue. I think the official Fight song for the Tigers is "Fight Tiger" but "Every True Son" is the only one played at baseball games anymore.
@1mizzoufan I had seen, but I had seen on Wikipedia and from two other sources that "Glory" is a rally song. I had heard also that the university treats them equally-though I said official in the description, I hope to hear what the Redcoat Marching Band members have to say, or see the UGA websites after I post this to indicate which one is the official. (example: Stanford finally indicates on their websites that it's "Come Join the Band", not "All Right Now" after I posted my vid.)
@excelsior27 I am a Redcoat, Glory is our official fight song. Hail is used as a cheer. We play the last line "all Hail to dear old U-G-A" as an offensive cheer and the full song in the "Bulldog March Medley" after a PAT.
@1mizzoufan This is actually our fight song people never realize that, Glory started as a song that was played when the Nation scored a touchdown, but its evolved certainly
Yeah. Officially it's this. I'm in the Redcoat Band, so I don't know if there's much closer of a source out there. It's kind of like Tennessee. They play Rocky Top out the ass but officially that's not their fight song.

@mYththePoet Ok.
I just wish Universities would actually state their official fight song and maybe actually have it playable on their websites...
