I went through batteries dying on me for 5 years, and finally decided to check a few things, I had a short in a wire to my back break lights, also had a bad light under the hood, so far I have not seen the huge drain I used to see, before a new battery would last me 4 days if I did not start and drive the car...
Did you ever find what was causing your parasitic drain?
I heard you mention battery draining, and air ride leveling, I have a 96' and thought the air pump was staying on due to a possible leaky strut, but I was told by a few that know these engines/cars well, and they said the pump cannot run after the car goes into "sleep mode"
Thank you so much for posting this. Helped so much! Luckily I was able to get mine working like new again by some new grease in the track at the top of the regulator.
@Darious1994 I don't have one of those to look at or a book on one but usually you can just pull off the door panel, unplug the motor, take the 3 nuts that attach it off, pull it out and put the new one in. I've never taken a cadillac apart so I don't know exactly how the panels come off.
I have a 1995 Buick LeSabre, and the front seats(mostly the driver's side dash/door panel) got soaked during a car wash because one of the stupid attendants forgot to roll the window up before letting go through. The owner said that all car interiors and their electrical components are designed to withstand some water(e.g. rain), but do you think I should be concerned about the controls on the door panel shorting out(i.e. window, seat) and even the gage cluster on the dash? What should I do?
Also, the speaker's on the dash and the radio unit were exposed too, to the wax, water, and chemicals. Everythign works now, but I fear that a month down the road, the wiring might fail, and there go the windows and everything.
@Polymath95 I've left my windows open overnight on accident and had a ton of rain come in and soak everything and not had a problem. If you are concerned about it try to get something in writing that says they ran your car through the car wash with the window open then if something does stop working and it can be proven to have been caused by the water you might be able to get them to pay for it. Best thing you can do for it now is just make sure its all dried out.
Power windows are a pain to work on......... Chrysler is the worst! The scissor style you have isnt too bad its the ones with the cable drive I see fail all the time....

@randomrazr That part of it looks like its just uncoated steel so it probably rusted up a little bit fairly quickly.

you should spray a little silicone lube on the rubber, felt liketrack around the window to help prevent the problem in the future.
