True you can buy whatever car you want if you have the money. But just fyi, the SLR takes half the distance a car should be able to stop in, to stop. So the normal distance it takes a car to stop from 100km/h, the SLR can do it at 200km and stop in the same distance (Top Gear tested that). =)

The extra price for MB comes because of the interior. SLR is a comfort oriented super car. That's why it has an automatic gearbox, sweet-looking leather interior, etc. It has the power but doesn't want to sacrifice comfort and looks for top speed. You won't drive this car at full speed every day anyway.

Stock R8 V10 V/max - 328 km/h (203 mph)

I'm not saying this just like that...I have a friend who has both and we have tested them to the limit!! It depends how long road you'll find and in what weather conditions you'll drive in, but in the end of the day both cars had managed exactly the speeds I've said!!

Both of those cars are now MTM tuned and we'll see what top speeds will they achieve now..!!!!

And do you know how much the Audi is in Europe - 110-130k euro for the V8 and 130-150k euro for the V10 which can do around 328km/h stock, and MTM tuned around 335....(that's maybe the equivalent of the 722 edition for the tuning) and for the price...the tuning costs in total around 15-20k euro...and that's still 200k euro less than the SLR...!!!
