  • That's not a sandwich, that's a pork chop - so help me!!! This is from Rufus Jones for President which is available in its entirety someplace on the net. Just google the title. I love it.

  • Some people practice for years to achieve greatness. Seems Sammy was born to it

  • Didn't Frankie Lyman do this first? Something similar! Frankie & I go back to the day before electricity & recordings.

  • He reminds me of one of those little rascal kids

  • remember seeing Sammy :) QC

  • I remember seeing Sammy on the Johnny Carson Show in the late 1970s. Johnny surprised him by playing this clip. Sammy, a total class act all the way, laughed riotously, then said something to the effect of, "...and you know, that suit still fits." We miss you, Sammy.

  • ha ha --that was great - good ole sammy

  • ¡No mames! ¡Ese canijo fue bueno desde peke!

  • Artista si nasce.

    Grazie per questo video.

  • i think this is the cutest thing , i ever seen

  • this is sooooooooooooo adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • So Full Of Life,God Put Him Here Amonst Us To Do Exactly What He Did.An He Had The Nerve 2 Do It..R.I.P...Ancestor....

  • SDJ The greatest all around entertainer of all time!

  • Man so sharp.

  • racism means insane...I'm proud to be negro.. negro in spanish means negro= black.. my beautiful color...is just a color like white yellow green red pink... it`s just the wrapping of the body...

  • @Capitaljsr, It was 1931 bro...The least we were called was Negros. Everything else was raw stereotype. On film and in real life. That's what ABSOLUTELY AMAZES ME about Sammy Davis Jr and Nat King Cole. The almost impossible odds they had to overcome to get were they were at that time. The had to run twice as fast. Jump twice as high, just to be on a so called "even" playing field.

  • like white people don't eat fried chicken. will the ignorance ever die?

  • 'WANT ME TA SMILE ATCHA? SHINE YA SHOES?"

  • 7 year old Sammie had more cool and soul than I will have in my entire life.

  • Lol! So cute but what the heck is he saying? Anyone know?

  • Must bite him !!!!

  • haha are they all eating fried chicken?

  • Dude with handkercheif :29. Such good manners.

  • WHAT MORE CAN U SAY!!!!!

  • That "YEAH!" is adorable.

  • Hani derler ya adam olacak çocuk BOKundan belli olur diye... Öyle galiba...

  • He was the best of them all. No one could touch Sammy. All them haters can suck a dick.

  • Incredible talent. Iron sharpens iron.

  • So wrong making them all eat fried chix! So wrong! LOL!

  • keep pressing 8 and the little fucker is a showdancing whore!

  • What the fuck is up wit the damn chicken!!! SMH. That's bullshit!! No watermelon? We need Sharpton on the case.

  • He seems more like a midget than a child here

  • Ok, very weird question: Was his father named Sammy Davis as well, or was Sammy Davis Jr a stage name? I'm guessing yes, but just curious... Anybody know?

  • @kevico2 Sammy and his father were both named Samuel George Davis.

  • @kevico2 He WAS from a performing family. The tap trio was him with an uncle and his father?? (maybe)

  • dance for the whites LOL **with chicken in hand and all** All a bunch of uncle toms

  • Wouldn't it be AWESOME..if little Sammy and little Michael, at this age, could dance together? That would be so far beyond epic proportions...I can't even put it into words!

  • wow!

  • that was so cute, it actually hurt to watch.

  • This is a 1933 Vitaphone short called "Rufus Jones for President", the great Ethel Waters played his mother.

  • Anyone know what movie this is from?

  • This song makes hating someone fun xD

  • when did this air....slash what move is this from?

  • 5keep pressing 5 and he is dancing like mj and a glitter glove lolszx

  • LMAO, he was gettin it with that sandwich in his hand.

  • i love the intro..... ill be glad WHEN U DEAD RAA RAA RU....hes so young he cant even pronounce how very cute... i love him to death.... black beauty forever

  • Love the little guy in this video and the legent he grow up to be. Sammy Davis jr was great!

  • What year is this video from?

  • @shonshrinks Had to have been in the thirties. He was born in 1925, he couldn't be older than 10 in this video.

  • @BigJav34 Uha thank you.

  • a white guy must have directed this, everybody munchin on chicken.

  • many people would not know who sammy was without MJ and MJwould not be as great as he is without Sammy. Its a mutual respect love and a sharing of art. Both the best entertainers of their time. Some people say Sammy could do more than Michael. You could say Sammy could also act Michael could also paint, Sammy was a comedian, Michael developed a new form of shortfilm etc but really but I think thats a weak argument and also splitting hairs between two genius entertainers. THANK GOD FOR THEM BOTH!

  • miss maestro, I,m sorry but I havent seen the chicken in this performance.

  • are they eating....chicken

  • Comment removed

  • @Elzbieta1ify because it looks like chicken lol and i would be surprised because of the time it was shot in it's just funny to see ignorance you know...

  • @missmaestro1 Ignorance? From eating chicken? Whay should they be eating? Sushi and caviar? lol I'm white and i had chicken last nigght so what does that make me? lol

  • @JarheadPatriot0311 back in the day even before anything to do with black people perpetuated the stereotype that black people eat chicken and watermelon that's why I said it was ignorant and to answer your question you just ate chicken last night that is all lol

  • Cute as a button and only the start of an unmatchable career. That said I can't understand a word. lol. Love it anyway!

  • What is in his hand?

  • This is so great to see; I love the expressions on his face! A great talent at a young age.

  • @ABCHealTheWorld I am not sure that Michael went to heaven.

  • @trwent Michael walked with God. Michael IS IN heaven .. just trust me. Go listen to mj's SPEECHLESS. It was writtten to God !! Listen to Keep The Faith. Listen to All The Lost Children, Heal the World, Man In the Mirror. I don't have the proper time to answer your reply right now, so just trust me. If you are a true fan of mj's, or a friend or mj's .. you KNOW mj IS IN HEAVEN. period.

  • @ABCHealTheWorld i think buttfuckin kids is a one way ticket to hell but yea now that you mention it Michael Jackson was speaking to god in Speechless. how could i have been so blind.

  • @lickmyballs2113 Hmmmm, your jealousy is showing right here in front of God, and everybody on yt. Sad for you, in fact, it's pathetic.

  • @ABCHealTheWorld its pathetic when people try to argue what God really thinks. its ignorant. nobody knows. especially not you

  • @lickmyballs2113 No, it's pathetic when people hand around on a video of an artist that they do not like, for whatever reason. Place your jealousies far behind you as they only get in the way of Love.

Oh, and about God, where in what I've said is "quoting God." If I speak ABOUT God, that is not quoting sweetheart. My words were, "your jealousy is showing right here in front of God and everybody on yt." God didn't say that, I said it. =) Have a nice day .. hopefully minus the trolling.

  • those looks were sumthin serious....lol thanx for the memories sammy

  • genius..

  • WE all tickled the stage at the Place des Arts Montreal in 1973. You can actually look up the review for Sammy or any Artist on old Newpaper Microfiche Index Files at any Major City Library, Any Artist ,any Era. A Fantastic Resource

  • go little sammy :)

  • Sammy called us kids onstage to sing the Candy man with him in Montreal in 1973 then rewarded us with Kraft caramels ! A Gas!

  • @MRSSPLURGER omggggggggggg thats amazing was it at the forum?

  • One of the greatest entertainers EVER~!!!

  • OMG, TOO CUTE! Sorry for the sorrowful message but the spirit was marvelous! MORE LOVE more LIFE!

  • hes as tall here as he was in 1960! lol sammy was a really cute kid, never knew he could sing at 7! thanks 4 the post

  • cmon now yall sammy davis jr was a great entertainer..but michael jackson's voice at dis age is way better..nd later on mike learned how 2 tap dance jus as good nd he danced way better den sammy..i meen im jus sayin sammy wasnt as good as mike

  • @kobedat24 It doesn't always have to be a comparison on who's "better". Every entertainer is different. I am a HUGE Michael Jackson fan just look at my channel, but Michael wasn't "better" than Sammy. And Sammy was every bit "as good as Mike".

  • @8mycrab i'm also A HUGE HUGE fan of michael jackson. but sammy davis is just as good as michael. like michael always said his inspirations were sammy davis jr, gene kelly, fred staire and james brown.

ps thanks to michael i came here to see who he was talking about and they are amazing. so sad a lot of people my age, don't know them

  • @kobedat24 open your eyes and look well, then.

  • Ahhhh, just a classic little rascal !!!!!!

    Thanks for the post,

    Ken

  • I'm ashamed of myself to have just now discovered how great of an entertainer SDJ was. Elvis-who! Michael-who!

  • he was 7 jgebat88

  • how old was he?

    sammy was perfect.

  • This is really special!!!

  • I love Michael Jackson, James Brown ,Jackie Wilson and many others, but this man in my view, is the all time greatest! He had no weaknesses; he could sing, dance/tap, play all instruments, mimic, fastest on the draw with a gun, great acting skills, and was the first Black man to have his own late night talk show, and he could cook up a storm I heard!

  • @torrencebrannon same :D hehe

  • @torrencebrannon I agree he has been the most COMPLETE entertainer ever idk why ppl say MJ is better, i mean he was good no doubt but could he pull off all the things Sammy David Jr pulled off?? ..No

  • @torrencebrannon You said he had no weaknesses. Actually, I heard that he was not a very good skeet shooter, and his basketball skills were somewhat lacking.

  • @torrencebrannon most compelling argument I"ve seen thus far. I"m more of a Nat King Cole....but there is no denying Sammy might just be the most complete entertainng there ever was.

  • @torrencebrannon Talk about even after his handicap accident with his eye....just might be right, the most complete "entertainer" package around.

  • @JColeM7785 One day on a golf course with Jack Benny, Sammy Davis Jr. was asked what his handicap was. "Handicap?" he asked. "Talk about handicap — I'm a one-eyed Negro Jew."

  • @torrencebrannon Listen to Frankie Lymon bro. He's brilliant and VERY unknown.

  • @torrencebrannon well said!!

  • classic! this is the BEST version!

  • Dig it sam!

  • Wow! Sammy Davis Jr, was amazing.

  • He was a great impressionist even as a child! This is the cutest!
