I think she was just trying to sound tough so that he would stop unless she was truly naive enough to believe mordred wouldn't try to shoot her. I mean if he had tried, who would have caught the arrow? would frik have enough time to do that? it seemed like he barely had enough time to catch the arrow that was aimed at him.
