"where's the ground Where's The Ground WHERE'S THE GROUND????" *THUMP* "oh, there it is" XD But seriously kudos to the pilot, belly landing is not exactly something you can practice!
@barramundi10 your right but damaging yor engines is the last thing going through your head during a emergency landing besides the prop is screwwed either way when it hits the ground
He flared and thought WTF i should be down by now LOL I would imagine it is hard to realize how low it must look in the cockpit with the gear retracted and sitting on the ground.

I gotta disagree, this landing seemed much rougher than it couldv been. Its the vertical speed that matters the most, not the difference of a few knots.
agreed, and on grass that looks that lush and soft i would have been happy to shut off the engine and just glide it in sit in ground effect for a little while float and just let it settle. to me it looks like he just got it down and tried to stall it as low as possible.
LOL!!! That´s a nice question. Nobody has asked this question before...
I love Airbus, so my name on YouTube is Jojoairbus. But I have uploaded a Boeing 747-400 Lufthansa picture because I love Lufthansa and the 747 picture I found at first!!! ;D
I didn't see anything that would have made this a hard landing....My idea of a hard landing involves fuselages buckeling, spars snapping, wings folding, and an aircraft that is either badly damaged, damaged beyond reair or written off completely. I have been in what I would call a hard landing, that helicopter was hauled off to the scrap yard in pieces.
This was a beautifully executed belly landing. Kudos to the pilot. Sucks that the gear failed.

Nice landing-but I would have thought you'd wanna cut the mixture 20 just before the flare to minimise damage to the engine! just my 2 cents.

Seemed pretty good to me. I'm no expert on fixed-wings but it seems he should have feathered the prop.... no...?

@pf126p fixed pitch properller most likley.
FlyffAddict 1 year ago
@FlyffAddict no way is it fixed pitch. Should have killed the engine before touching-down. Very expensive landing.
