@MarineMick excellent news on being able to stay on Mick , was you one of the guys that came to StIves in Cornwall on your tour of all the stations approx 1999-2000.
@zrxsheep Yes indeed I was in St Ives on that tour. I organised it from the beginning in1997 and we just finished up this year in Isaly. We visited every station from Jersey to Aith over the years and had a mighty time.
It wasostly written by Phil Coulter and sung by Liam Clancy. I actually was part of the chorus at the recirding in Windmill Lane studios in Dublin almost 20 years ago
Liam Clancy was a well known folk singer and died about 6 months ago. Regards,

Cracking! Gerat boat, excellent sound track - outstanding boarding launch - I can see RNLI Gold Medals being awarded for making it to the lifeboat (before even leaving harbour)

But isn't there a better way to launch the Lifeboat more quickly??. From when the lads are summoned it must take a long time to get going.

I spent 17 years as a professional fire fighter, but I couldn't do the work the RNLI people do, thats real courage.
