  • A Flyer for the gig clearly states 'First International Pop Festival, Palazzo Del Sport, E.U.R. Rome, Italy May 4 to 10, 1968'. I tried to post it here without success.

  • MusicSoul60s: I saw the band with this lineup 3 times in the UK in 1968. They recorded the famous 'Beach at Cannes' performance in the same year. I am sure that they never visited Europe until 1968.

  • @hssmrg WRONG! Don aka Captain Beefheart played this regualrly in Golden Gate Park in 1966. What he did on tour he really couldn't remember. Great guy and an even greater friend. He was just, " Bring me another Pepsi," Don, to us who really loved him.
