  • You guys have changed the screws that fasten the mass air flow sensor to a metal screw with a allen wrench, you need to make the update. As you indicated int he vid to use the original factory screws that do not fit the thread, this would have been helpful to know, prior to installation.

  • I have the car in your video a 08 GT, and I have the SCT Tuner as well. I have been doing some research on the BBK Intake for my car. Here is my problem thus far, California Sucks, lol When you got tot he BBK site the kit will only pass smog in my state on the 06 & 07 models. So do you know of a Cold Air Intake that will pass CA Emissions? It's ironic to think that CA when I was growing up was a Muscle Car State converted to Hybrid Nerdy State, lol. Any advice would be great, thanks for the vid.

  • every video i watch from motorz tv is always the most in depth and best explained video. i never have a problem understanding chris and the camera work is second to none. the only better camera work I've seen is on tv like on inside west coast customs or something and they're not as in depth as chris duke, thanks dawg

  • @GuSSxxxBuSS813 Thanks for the awesome feedback!

  • I think i may get a mustang now because of this, ive been between a gto and a mustang for a while now

  • I LOVE IT , MAN UR ACE, THE WHOLE THING WAS VERY WELL EXPLAINED AND I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT . KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

  • @MasterThug Thank you very much for watching and taking the time to comment!

  • awesome video, I love it

do I need to re-program my car computer after install intake kit?

Mitsubishi Lancer with 1.6 mivec, Thank you.

  • @MGRoadRunner It depends on the intake. With this one from BBK, we didn't need to. You should check with the manufacturer of the intake to find out if it's required for your specific vehicle.

  • @motorztv that was real fast reply :), I'll check for more info online thank you.

you are a pro. love your videos. b.regards.

  • @MGRoadRunner No problem. Thank you for watching our show. Check out the Motorz website and the Motorz TV Facebook page for a lot more!

  • @LastTransAm2002 Thank you !!

  • what happens if you tune your car, but you don't use 91octane

  • sound like a lot of wheel hop at the end of the video, you should do a rear lower and upper control arm upgrade episode

  • Sweet videos man, very informative and simple to understand. I just wish that you did work on Aussie cars so it would be better to unerstand :P

  • i just got a 2008 mustang gt that came with a shaker intake on it, and i was wondering if it is possible to have a second intake system simultaneously and if it is a good idea? thanks

  • i giggle when he says nut driver

  • Awesome Vids, do you got any tips how to increase MPG / fuel economy on an V6 2008 Mustang?

  • damn .. i did'n expact u to respones too fast haaaaaa haaaaaaaa

i am asking cause u doing a lot of things to it .. a good thing

    i love ur vids thanx

  • @khaled6100 Thanks for watching... I appreciate it! --Chris

  • i wonder who's owen that mustang?

  • @khaled6100 My old camera guy. Why?

  • Chris, in your opinion, what kind of gains do you think I'll get from the BBK intake alone? In terms of horsepower, what kind of increase am I looking at? And I am also to understand gas mileage improves as well. Assuming I'm getting between 24 and 26 highway, how much do you think that would improve by as well?

    Thanks!

  • In norway we run on 99 oct from the pump ;)

  • cool vids.

  • I know you've answered this a few times in a different text, but do you HAVE to tune the CAI at all if it's a BBK?? I know most of them require a tune so i''m wondering if it would be okay to not tune it and still be good on my warranty? Will it throw error codes or anything like that if you DON'T tune the car? Is there a certain reason why you didn't use 93 Octane? Thank you!! Your videos are awesome!!!!

  • @Saleenfanning No, the BBK is designed so you do not have to tune your vehicle. 93 octane is just a lot more expensive, and the owner is driving on a budget. Thanks for watching! -Chris

  • @Saleenfanning I bought this exact unit and it kept kicking on my Check Engine light. I had to get a tuner and a tune from Brenspeed(.)com before it would stay off. Some cars need a tune, some don't. BBK should NOT advertise that the setup does NOT need the tune, because I DID need it as well as several other people I know. On the other hand, several other people didn't, so it's a mixed bag.

  • @YourMKArcadeSource Very interesting... thank you for the information!

  • @motorztv No problem. The code that kept coming back was a "too lean" code, caused by the extra air from the cai kit. Once I programmed the tune to account for the more air flow, the problem went away. This was on a 2009 GT/CS.

  • @YourMKArcadeSource Good to know. I really appreciate this, as they were 100% no tune was required.

  • @motorztv You're welcome.

  • Was your car also having a poor idle before you got the tune?

  • Is there a way to tell whether a car has been tuned already. I got a used 05 v6 mustang and have thought about buying a tuner but Im not sure if its been tuned yet possibly by the previous owner.

  • He he, nut driver.

  • I noticed that the tunes on the tuner say for up to 93 octane. would it hurt anything if you used 94 octane with them?

  • hey I just installed this intake onto my 2007 GT, and after the install when i began to drive it around I could here like a suction nose. When i investigated, it sounded like it came from the air filter. I checked all the couplers for leaks and stuff...but i didnt find any? so i was wondering if that suction noise is what is suppose to happen or did i install it wrong? PS the noise kinda sounds like a diesel engine noise kinda.

  • @DaMeXiCaNpAnDa

that sound is normal, its the sound of the filter

sucking in the air into the throttle body. its normal

  • those are huge numbers

  • Do you know if putting a BBK cold-air intake on a 2010 v6 mustang will void the waranty?

  • @pinebros I'm fairly sure that only K&N and ford racing are the only intakes that will not void the warranty.

  • @pinebros it really shouldnt because it doesnt require any tuning or anything, i know it hasnt voided mine, i got a bbk for an 09

  • @pinebros i wouldn't think so...even if it would, you can just put the factory intake back on and it will look like you didn't do anything. and if you have a tune...you can just return the computer to the stock setting

  • Is it ok to use this tune for an automatic 2010 GTmustang :L well thats after installing a new air intake from BBk ,new underdrive pulleys from roush and an x pipe from pypes

  • it be alot easier if u used a extra extension on that rachet

  • Can you guys do a show on long tube or short tube install as if you were doing at home.....

  • before using the SCT is recommended to remove fuel pump Fuse?

I have an Steeda CAI, going to Custom tunes will come by default?

  • before flash tuning its required to remove fuel pump fuse??

  • ummhh i wanna noe how many diffrent mustangs u can tune with thie tunner and if its ok to do like a 06 and then tune a 02

  • ahhh nice video...but i would have to see a dyno chart to believe those numbers.

  • We aren't in the business of proving or dis-proving manufacturer's claims (that's a tough business, not to mention expensive) but if you check their websites or call them I'm sure they'd be happy to provide dyno info, especially Fasltane.

  • @motorztv got a video for installing an 01 mustang cool air non gt?

  • @honesty401 I gained about 29rwhp with my c&l cai and tuner

  • When does the SCT tuner save the stock tune?

  • i had my airintake installed but without the heat shield do u thing this will have an affect on the performance?

  • Yes , the heat shield do all the difference . If you dont install iit , you engine is gonna suck hot air of the underhood and you dont want that.

  • Wow, a good deal to get some more hp and torque out the engine. I'll definately have to do this when I get my '11 GT

  • Do you have to use 91 octone can u use the mid grade cuz i like to use mid grade and then sometimes use 91 does it have to use one help?

  • diablotuners are really good to

  • they are the one of the best in fact , a lot and a lot of shop work whit diablo

  • Nice vid! :-)

Did you notice a big difference after the CAI and Tune?!

  • Yes, it was a substantial difference! Definitely worth the tune in addition to the intake.

  • Sweet!!! thanks alot!! i know what ill be buying myself for Christmas!!! lol Thanks! :-)

  • SCT makes a great tuner

  • You dont have to leave the SCT plugged in correct, you can unplug it once the tune is finished ?

  • correct!

  • Can i install a Steeda Throttle Body Spacer, a BBK Cold Air Intake and a BBK Throttle Body .Will it all fit all together on 2007 GT?

  • yea it should work with no problems, ive know a guy who bought a BBK CAI BBK TB and a MMR TB spacer and it worked fine. should should be ok

  • Wanted to come back and watch some of the older ones... Thanks for the Video Chris

  • what about the v6 08 mustang do i need the tuner, because in the sites( BBK and K&N) where they sell the intakes it says it doesnt need any tuning

  • BBK designs their intakes to not require tuning. In fact, the V8 BBK intake doesn't require a tuner either, but we used one, along with a tune from Fastlane Incorporated, and it really opened things up!

  • Simple for some extra power, I cant wait for the new 5.0 Stang engines, 400 HP!

Wish I can buy a mustang!

  • Do you think this will work on a 2005 v6 also? May sound stupid but I want to make sure before I invest. Thanks.

  • I just ordered a BBK CAI for my 2008 V6 stang, w/o a tuner (would have gotten tuner but i didnt have the extra $200) its a good way to get a few extra HP and it sure can't hurt. americanmucle(dot)com is a great site to buy anything you could want for a mustang

  • You do such a great job... You make it easy to understand...so easy that I would venture most woman could follow along!...lol

  • Thanks! :)

  • I stopped at 4:39 because I was thinking if the air filter was like a K&N then would it need some prep oil?

    Les

  • Most air intakes these days, like this BBK one, come with pre-oiled air filters from the manufacturer, so there's no need to add oil.

  • Cool Thanks I didn't know that!

    Les

  • damn I am dying to know the dyno numbers

  • awesome install - it was awesome to be there watching live on the webcam, and the interaction with you guys was super-fun!!! and HEY YOU CAN SEE ME IN THE CHATROOM!!! YAY!!! i made an episode of MoToRZ tv!!! w00t! =D

  • We made a few changes to the initial version to be less confusing about the custom tune from Fastlane Incorporated. Since YouTube doesn't allow anyone to update a video, we had to re-upload it and delete the old one. Thanks everyone for their comments and views!

  • first view, i like you vids guys. why did you do this second vid though?, did you uninstall the intake then unistall the C&L tune then re install the CAI with the fastlane tune?
