Whatever one uses to compare this band to Nirvana, you can't argue that this has significantly more going on in it than anything Nirvana did. Cobain may have had a gift for brevity, but this is incredible, the musicianship is definitely way beyond Nirvana.
I have to say though that you can't compare the beatles because who knows what the bealtes would have sounded like had they been released today

this song, 'goldmine' and 'blue period' were sold along with 'across the way' (also released on a benefit album) on tapes by the band at gigs in the 80's. occasionally the tapes crop up on ebay. I guess that explains how they got on here. i also posted 'below beloved'- as far as i know, this song is available because a band member leaked it onto the net. the others on here come from their official myspace. as far as i know, michael stipe only owns the early demos from island records..

Whatever one uses to compare this band to Nirvana, you can't argue that this has significantly more going on in it than anything Nirvana did. Cobain may have had a gift for brevity, but this is incredible, the musicianship is definitely way beyond Nirvana.
