Yes the shocks are different between the stock version of the car and the car with the carbon fiber kit installed. The carbon fiber front shock tower stands the shocks upright to eliminate the weight of the extra linkage components and to get rid of the horizontal air bubble that exists in the lay down configuration. Check out max velocity racing dot com for more info.
Im sure it help, but you took more distance with the carbon fiber chassis test... it will of course show faster speed... on the first step you were starting from a standing still, at like 7-8feets away from the end of the yellow line, with the carbon fiber you had rolling start at the trees further.. nice chassis though :)
Yeah I agree. I would not base your masters engineering thesis on the results. It was a quick and dirty test to show difference in weight, temperature, and rough speed increase. Thanks for the comment though
No offense meant or taken. I agreed with you. Next time I will set up a starting clear starting line and test on a street that is not so busy. I was dodging cars the whole time. I
what a bogus video!
you say you shed 1lb of weight but the chassis is only 5.5oz lighter??
get a clue man! and you started the car further back and you will get higher speeds..
also you motor is at a higher temp on the faster passes!

I notice that the 2 cars are different on the biginning of the video look at the shocks.

Masters engineering thesis? lol
You are the one that claims those gains, i just stated it was not really accurate...
Doesnt mean the chassis isnt worth buying...
it seem well made, and it will sell a lot, id get one if i had a
DM1.
No need to be sarcastic trying to make me look bad, im not trying to attack you ... :)

excellent!, im sure there will still be decent gains with a starting line, 1 lbs mean a lot on an RC car.:)
Goodluck :)
