I remember my dad singing it to my mother when I was about 6 years old (I'm 58 now). I remember wondering if this was about the Indians he had to fight when he had to walk 10 miles in the snow every day to get to school when he was a kid. lol

@breezebro Yes quite a few folk have told me about the big bopper connection..lots of these early songs are dead interesting..it's a real education covering the early sixties number ones..very influential on the fabs..and relevant to fabs songs I think.
