  • I dont think he's wearing those gloves & sweater in March when is fucking hot he's wearing it cause u guys would start trolling

  • Hi, I just bought a new xbox controller for the first time. The right analogue squeeks but the left doesn't. Is it worth returning or is this a common manufactoring fault?

  • How do i stop my trigger squeaking please relpy :(

  • hey man, thanks a lot for the video, contact cleaner really did the trick. Those squeaks really get you down after a while.

  • I opened up my 360 controller for the first time last month to clean it and it was ultra vile inside there, 6 years of use and it was just vile inside of it so I would hate to see whats inside my PS1 controller I still use on my PS2. Anyway my squeaky thumbstick is being caused by the spring being ultra rusty and I was wondering if it was worth getting a new spring or beeter to just using the cleaner you used the next time I open it up?

  • is there a video where you see how to fix l3 botton because i play mw2 and i trickshot and i cant run good

  • thank you, this helped a lot

  • I don't have a problem with my anolog stick but I do have a problem with my RT it keeps squeking but I fixed it by replacing the spring with another spring from my pen

  • my left stick gets stuck at whichever direction I push it. If I push up it stays up and push left it stays left etc. and don't spring back to center. Can you please tell me how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

  • really doctoring up his controllers lmao

  • Jus done this on ps3'didnt have no cleaner so i used a qtip dipped in rubbing alcohol and mushed the alcohol around the joystick module and let it run down inside it then rotated like he does in this vid and mines worked gr8 also. No more sticking in stick. It was mild sticking though not like stuck all the way up and to the side lol but I then used compressed air and gently blew out dust

  • U CAN TRUST HIM. HE's A DOCTOR

  • HOW do you know so much about cleaners? Great video BTW, I just hope I don't break my controller while disassembling it.

  • Thanks! :)

  • Wtf at first i thought you had no finger nails

  • @bustalip810-- doood me too.. i was like whathe 0.0 ... then i was like.. 0.o rubbergloves?..

  • I got a boner at 3:00 when you started spinning the sticks.

  • Any idea if Contact Cleaner would work for analog sticks that get physically stuck in a certain direction?

  • Comment removed

  • or you could stuff your joysticks with Vaseline

  • @GargasmGaming Does it really work to just rub Vaseline around the analogue stick???

    PLEASE REPLY ANYONE.

  • @Tharan1997 I personally wouldnt do it, it could leak out of the analog area into the more sensitive areas, and perhaps cause damage.

  • Comment removed

  • Can you show us how to do the right stick ?

  • Too much time on your hands....i just held down my analog stick when i spray lubricant so it goes to the exact place and it does the saaaaame thing.it works fine..you dont need to tAke it apart and make it so complicated

  • He's worried about hair folicles falling into the controller? Either has OCD or is a serial killer (or both)

  • Thanks for the video! So this fix also might work for an analog that gets stuck? My left anaolog gets stuck in the upwards position

  • will this fix my ps3 controllers right analog stick it does squeak and it randomly moves to the left w/ out me touching it

  • this would have been so helpful back when i didn't have a headset lol

  • Thanks dude, you saved my controller. Using that contact cleaner to lighten up the analog sticks not only made them stop squeking but it also made them handling light as new.

    Thanks again!

  • lol he looks liek if hes making a bom

  • does this also work for a "slow stick" controller???

can I fix a slow stick with such a contact cleaner??

  • i feel like my right stick is a tiny bit higher than the left,

this is extremelly noticeable when I play 1st person shooters.

cuz i feel like i can't aim steady, and also my sticks feel a little loose in general.

please respond, really anoying, if an aponent is right in front of u and you can't hit him:). great vid btw.

  • Is there anything else I can use to clean out my joystick with.. My right stick has gunk I think

  • lol...I took a while to notice his gloove...I thought'' what is with his skin?O.o''

  • you breath loudly lol

  • @CAPS7520 you listen carefully

  • be carfull opening up a ps3 controller. its such a pain trying to put back together..

  • When I ffirst saw your thumb I was like WTF WHERES HIS NAILS?? :O

  • why dont u buy new controoler case 13 quid for th spray and if it breaks thats about £30 so u will save money

  • Comment removed

  • @Lukeschedel It only happened b/c you failed to do it properly.

  • what if its inside the R2 button?

  • @neyney415

Same thing. Contact Cleaner will take care of the job. Take out the R2 Trigger and spray between the joints. Take care not to snap the spring.

  • @FSTK

I have Chemtronics Head Cleaner II it is a hight performancec cleaner that removes soils and oxides from all magnetic heads. It is in a bottle, not a spray can, will this work as well? Does it has to be a control, contact cleaner and lubricant spray?

  • Thank you very much! It solved my problem with no problems. Thanks again.

  • I have personally made my squeak go away from my ps3 controller by using a ton of alcohol, and all is good. I must tell you, that the ps3 controller is hella hard to put back together and i STRONGLY RECOMMEND you find out how to put it back on youtube first

  • Could you do this for the buttons, too?

  • ooooh shit you fucking scare me..i thought u were made of WAX ..shit yeah keep the germs off the controller good idea :D

  • umm, i just play with such high volume or headphones so the only thing i hear is the game...

  • squeaky anal sticks xDD

  • Can you use WD40 or does it have to be that spray?

  • @Yvercy81

You have to use Contact-cleaner. WD40 is oil-based and won't evaporate. It'll make your problem far worse than it already is. Contact-cleaner is like WD40, but was designed for electronics.

  • @FSTK Ahh... Okay. Thank you very much.

    (thumps up)

  • If you listen closely.......you might hear this guy say something

  • Wow thanks it worked

  • Guys he is wearing gloves because he just made love to his wife.

    Wake up.

  • does this go for sticky analog sticks too?

  • @Jankco24

It does. However a "sticky" analog stick is moreso the fact your stick has some sticky crap in there. Clean it with water-soap (discretion advised), and use the contact cleaner as a finisher to apply the stick with proper lubrication.

  • @FSTK okay its just that i dont want to waste 60 dollers on a new controller so i think opening it up will and using that spray will help. Thank you

  • my left stick is kinda loose if i press a little but A LITTLE to any direccion it start reacting i heard if you use the same spray u did and a piece of something that i forgot it works

  • @Alkakaizer

It's possible that your stick is "sticky" like others and this "might" work. Other times, your bearing is worn-down and no amount of spraying will fix that. That's when I'd either de-solder the stick itself and attach a new one or buy a new controller all-together.

  • Ew! At first I was like where the fuck are his fingernails?

  • Wow man great work there.Yeah last 2 controllers new have been very squeeky whats the deal.I guess mass production over quality.

  • you realy need plastic golves for this

  • wow! people Just use sunflower oil and spin spin spin. it works perfectly

  • @Anibored you opened it up used that?

  • @halac04 Yes you need to open the controller. After you have opened it Remove the Analog sticks and wash them properly.... then you need to oil the actual bit that moves the plastic analog stick. However MAKE SURE you dont pour too much what you can do is dip a bit of tissue in the oil and place it in the place that is squeky, after that just spin it for a very long while.. 2-4 mins of non stop spinning until it stops squeaking. THIS IS AT YOUR OWN RISK BTW.

  • @FSTK yea

  • Doctor the surgery is complete.. HES CURED NO MORE SQUEAKY SOUNDS YEAHHHH

  • this is the greatest demonstration i ever seen and it help alot 2 thumbs up

  • man i have that problem i mean i no its not that loud but ut just pisses u off a times

  • uummm why r u waring a glove???

  • you sir are one word: Freaking Pro Thank You So Much! :D

  • i tried this on my sixaxis controller using that oil that comes with electric shavers used to lubricate the blades. then i used a can of duster to evenly distribute the lubricant into all the little crevice's, and now it's as smooth and quiet as the day i first bought it. i just hope the oil doesn't eventually dry out and get tacky, leaving a sticky mess in there. thanks for the video! :)

  • will this loosen the analog sticks a little. Because they tend to be stiff, making it harder to aim in FPS games.

  • do you play online on the ps3? my GT is ZACK42134

  • how do i fix my joystick button, I have to press in hard for it to work, i didn't used to have to press hard, now just because the button clicks doesn't mean it is activated, i have to press past the click

  • Ok, so wd-40 is a no-no, what about isopropyl alcohol, could that be used?

  • @RE4uk

Isopropyl Alcohol (no matter what percent concentrate) won't work because there's no oil to add lubrication to the surfaces. It just dries and evaporates!

What Contact Cleaner adds to the surfaces is "White Mineral Oil". Mineral Oil is fine-grained which and distilled so that it won't oversaturate the surface with the oil particles. Mineral Oil in this case has a neutral pH scale which won't cause any adverse corrosion due to whatever compound plastic electronics might use.

  • new controller squeek i almost throw it away....... i tryed EVERYTHING i had inside that f**** stick but noooo only got worse ... oh well guess ill buy a CONTACT CLEANER,

  • can you use xbox controller joysticks with ps3 controller

  • how about you use your damn voice instead of the youtube bubble thingy

  • i have squeaky triggers!

  • nice gloves :D

  • hey, i sprayed and cleaned mine twice, but it's still stuck and now there's some squeking noise if i rotate clockwise.

  • thank god for the gloves

  • Thaaaaaaaank you!!! I was playing in co-op yesterday with my sis and she was getting trouble tapping the A button, I used your guide and found chocolate milk inside xD.... now it's working better than mine.

  • does anyone know how to fix stiff analogs because ly left analog stick is very stiff and it bugs me when i play online

  • Your clever to put gloves on :D

You dont want germs or grease in your Controller!

  • @CJGJ12 its a way too funny loll look like a chirurgical intervention XD haha

  • lol awesome vid dude...very helpful

  • ive cutted my xbox360 control wire accidently

  • @awangkuafiq2506 learn english you towel nodder

  • learn english u fucking afghan

  • omg does no one on youtube have a video on how to fix drifting analog sticks for 360?

  • Do you think I could use WD-40 for this?

  • @FlightofThunder, should work, and it doesnt affect the electrics inside either.

  • Absolutely not. WD-40 is an oil-based product that will not evaporate and will cause undesirable chemical reactions with silicone boards and forms of plastic, specific to the 360 Controller. Problems I've personally witnessed is mushy analogy sticks, stiff analog sticks, rusting on metal contacts like solder points, and worse of all, corrosion.

Contact Cleaner was designed to be the electronic-counterpart of WD-40. Do not use WD-40 period for any electronics.

  • Are you sure about that, man? I mean, I know that contact cleaner is MEANT for that, but I've heard many people say it was okay to do so.

  • how do you fix sticky analog sticks?

  • I can't do this to my controller. I'm afraid I'll break it. lol.

  • u didnt have to watch the video u fukin prick..show some fukn respect u fukn clown

  • your fault if your not dumb about it it wont happen hes not to blame, it was your mistake

  • Dualshock 3 don't stick!! Most.

  • @Gatway734cqc ya they do mine does

  • where did it break?

  • Thank you for the very informative video.

  • And whats more, the controller's squeak is barely noticable at its worst, so to go through 7:01 of pointless crap like this is ridiculous

  • Yah why didnt you just talk.

    Sound like a lil girl?

  • maybe he doesn't want anyone to be racist :D

  • He's wearing the gloves, I believe, because he doesn't want his skin oils to get on the insides of the controller possibly damaging it.

  • @Renegade66666 skin oil wouldn't damage anything

  • lol xbox 360 controller surgery

  • or you could just put 3 drops of water into it! :P

  • Can you make a video with ps3 also becuase i am to scared repair my own if i am not 100% sure what i should do :/

  • anyone know how to swap out the sticks out of a 360 pad and put them into a ps3 pad i just think the ps3 sticks are far to slack and prefer the extra resistance in the 360 sticks

  • why are you weraing rubber jonnies on ur hands?

  • docter 360 with gloves lol

  • spinning the analog around some what fixes loose analog problems

  • would be easier if you'd just talk. LOL.

  • i think i like u, very clean

  • why the gloves? Operating the 360? lol

  • can you make a vid on how to tighten the xbox360 control sticks?!

  • OMG this vid is like playing Team Fortress 2

His hands look like in the videogame with those gloves. LoL!!!

  • He is wearing gloves..

  • mine springs back slowly to the middle will this help that?

  • Thanks a lot man, my controller begun to squeak a lot for no reason and now I fixed it thanks to you. ^^

  • I only get this with new controllers. Let it naturally wear down so there's no squeak...

  • does this also work with the triggers an bumpers?

  • something i just thought of while putting my pad back together....they never show if the pad still works correctly...eg registers, all buttons work ect

  • ppl say best solution is too buy a new pad, if your thinking its probably for the best you might aswell still give it ago..see what happens. your not losing anything but u may save yourself some £££

  • you tear apart that controller like a pro haha

  • or what about nail polish remover?

  • could I use baby oil instead of that spray?

    .

    .

  • Comment removed

  • An easier solution is to just blow into the trigger. After you do that it should stop squeeking.

  • HOLY CRAP IT WORKED... WTF?!?! THANK YOU HAHAH im just like eh sounds stupid but what the heck sure enough it works instantly without problem! lol why would blowing into the trigger do anything?

  • is this more difficult to do with a PS3 controller?

  • plzzzzzzzzz reply bro....

  • Fuck bro i dam i never saw this item or video bro my 360 controller analog moves but it feels bad u no wat i mean like it doesnt feel right...so i put wd 40 and it get worse.....so wat does this item do does it fix like the my analog sick move by itself when i play gears but if i use this item will it fix it...

  • the ps3 controllers are very tricky on putting back together because of the little plastic bits behind L1 and R1, took me ages but i got there in the end. i might just buy some new controllers when i get the money.

  • I think it's 40 but i could be wrong

  • why cant people speak in a tutorial...

  • Yo, i got a brand new blk xbox 360 controller and both of the joy sticks are really squeky. They're not dirty its brand new out of the box. Any sugestion or should i just return it and get another.

  • Just return it and get another. Easier on you.

  • Thanks I might try with my dad!

  • can u do it with wd 40????????????

  • I was just gonna ask that

  • You cannot use WD-40. WD-40 is an oil-based solution that will actually make the situation worse. What happens is that the oil dilutes the liquid and will never evaporate, so you end up having a mushy PS3 stick that feels awkward. The WD-40 will strip away at the plastic until it breaks.Contact Cleaner is the "electronics" version of WD-40 because it cleans the dust and the solution itself evaporates, therefore leaving no residue, compared to WD-40.

Do not use WD-40 under any circumstance.

  • what do i use instead of the wd40

can u give me its specific name?

  • Anything that says NON CONDUCTIVE.

  • This is great! Could you by any chance do it for the PS3? Ive taken it apart once and it was a nightmare to put back together, I think I took apart wrong. If you could it would be greatly appreciated!

  • Cleaning the PS3 stick is the same as cleaning the 360 stick. I recommend you learn up on disassembling the PS3 controller some more.
