  • The first time I rode in sand, I learned really fast that you don't make sharp turns......unless you enjoy wiping out....lol

  • would u mind telling me where this area is in richmond? i just want to go offroading without going all the way to chilliwack and stuff...thnx in advance

  • @punDsal It's near No. 8 Road and Blundell Road.

  • @davidhowellca thnx dawg

  • im sorry but as a community id like to put forward a suggestion davey...can we call your "dirt helmet" the derp helmet from now on? PLEASE!? nice to see you back on the road though, well off the road..you knows what i mean :P

  • @sajakbar Wait...there'll be a lot more off road stuff now that I'm training for Baja and Morocco rallies ;)

  • @davidhowellca youve gone all off road crazy like lj !!! but nah thats cool, hopefully youll be able to get some crazy "OMG DONT GO DOWN THAT HILL" type moments on camera. youre a braver man than i sir :P long reign the derp helmet!!

  • Nice vid and thanks for your help on the Drift Cam. I'll be getting one soon to add road footage and audio to my own vlogs, woo-hoo! Love the recommendation that everyone get off-road sometimes, its nice to not stress about those other vehicles.

  • @dlinquencious Cant wait to see your stuff with the Drift!

  • @davidhowellca Can't wait to go out and get some stuff with the drift! It came in the mail today. Woo-hoo! Best wishes on the training and the rallies, tough stuff. Come to one of my Zumba fitness classes! hee-hee.

  • It looks like good exercise as well. Almost as much exercise as pushing my Ninja 250 every couple days when he decides not to run...grrrrr. : )

  • @onejillion Oh it's great exercise! Come on...that lil Ninja is light! ;)

  • @onejillion lol. I prefer to choose the type of exercise I want to get instead too.

  • @DarkFlight600 Awesome!! Cant wait to see your vids!

  • Your near simard west link off of westminster hwy.

  • @germanshep1 Yup yup. That's where I was :)

  • Like a thumb trying to stop a belt sander, bikers will never learn. Oh yes, there is an ambulance behind every tree.

  • @seapeddler Not quite sure what point you were trying to make with this but, thanks for watching.

  • Look like fun. :)

  • @ToastToGo It was a lot of fun :) Scotty...time for you to do it. Come over to the darkside...get a KLR ;)

  • Any particular reason your bike has a BMW logo?

  • @ChrisRiley93 *chuckle* It's actually a KLR sticker that looks like a BMW sticker :)

  • @davidhowellca Haha. Shows you how much I know. lol

  • Yeah ... I think your videos are progressively getting better all the time. Hope to god I can improve so much one day!

  • @SCRC401 Thanks :) Very much appreciated!

  • looks like a nice place to get to grips with the bike :) i have two days offroad training with patsy quick next week, am very nervous... :S

  • @danmoto73 COMPLETELY JEALOUS!!! Man oh man I'd give my left nut to be in your shoes!

  • Looked like fun.

  • @pulse0000 Certainly fun! Not too challenging and a great way to kill a couple hours :)

  • very well done video! and Yes i redo every spring after Riding in snow! Then add the weight. The KLR is no dirt bike as you well know. ahhh If they reopen the gravel roads around here after the flooding I will be right back out there!!

  • @navythomas8 Thanks! I cant wait for your winter/snow riding vids again this year!

  • Sand is the worst. :) the desert is full of it. :(

mud I have never done haha

looks like a REaaaalll fun place to practice. and don't worry I suck too offroad with the 400 - 500 lbs beast.

You are using the Kendas I am using I think, they are not that great off-road of course - lowering the tire pressure may work better.

    great vid yo :)

  • @rebelyell91 Auch as when you decide to lodge yourself on a rock :P Lucky mike was with you haha.. You will both get it eventually, it all takes time :)

  • @rebelyell91 Thanks Jeff :) Mud is a lot of fun with the right tires. Our tires are definitely not good enough for it though :-/

  • That looks fun and nice to start with. I recently upgraded from a Versys to a 1200GS and I have almost no dirt experience. I definitely should try to find a spot like you did and learn how to move the beast.

  • @MrHicks46 I find that any off-road riding is a good thing! Congrats on the upgrade. That's a nice bike!

  • That looks like so much fun, a big boy play ground. I would love to have a dual sport as a second bike, but it is not on the cards at this time.

  • @gogosor It is a fun place. No one around and you can do stuff at your own pace :)

  • are you still riding in this wet weather in around vancouver?

    PS Telus is jerkoff

  • @kukjong Sure am still riding :) Dont mind the rain all that much on this bike.
