The comments on this video are a little hilarious. I get drunk like this by myself on a regular basis, but I don't sit around and look as bored as she does. The scene at the end when she stares at the stars and grins sounds like genuine fun to me. I don't get the same vibe others do, but I do like the video.
Her thoughts about falling down a concentric staircase are reflective of her "downward spiral." In the final moments of the video she enjoys the insignificance of her problems through the scope of an unlimited universe.
omg i am crying. that's profound and troubling. i feel her pain so deepy cause i have been there. the stairs are of course a metaphor that depicts the downward spiral of the alcoholic. i got hooked on the pills my doc gave me and would drink a few to up the high.. i'm off the pills now thank god. boy this gives one a reality check to be more accountable for anything you take into your body...damn she drank a shitload and is so tiny, i'm surprised she could walk out of her place after that binge.
@mari6741 I would say is the metaphor of the ego in every human mind, which in this particular story(video) its showed in an alcoholic person. But every major and tiny problem with or without external things affects every one of us.
Aww :( I think many people can relate to this music clip. You virtually put on your happy face even when deep down you're not in the mood to be happy to everyone, you deal with stress and stuff throughout the day, then you can go home and just drown the sorrow with drinks or whatever. Meaningful vid, love it. 5/5
@TheAxeGang not sure about dying, but life is like jumping off a cliff.. itcan be scary, it can be exciting, but generally it just gets faster and faster, momentum gains, and then it stops! :) Depends on what you do from launch until landing. ;)
as far as i can understand what he's yelling he says: "oh yes, roll out the barrel, the barrel of fun, the blues is on the run (?)" but i'd really like to know where mifomofo saw that she was fired? btw: i love this video, though it indeed is depressing
I don't know what's with the guy at the beginning, but the girl was thrown out (I presume the very last scene on the staircase is the first one in the story) and she's getting drunk afterwards. And she's not answering the phone (on a table you can notice it). Probably someone is calling her for excuse or something. Pretty simple story. But very sad and emotional.
i had the same situation like that girl...all because of one asshole

You can find something remarkably similar to this video in the scenes of the book "The Strong Angel Inn" (2000) by Jerzy Pilch

no... idea...
anyway... to be that drunk, will feel that way... - so if you have stairfobia: do not drink before you die!
