Electric vs Ground is not effective at all

Pikachu can't touch a geodude or diglett. Why? They are ground type (well geodude is rock/ground)

Pikachu can hit a Sudowoodo, why? Because its rock only, normal damage, not counting Same-Type Attack Bonus (STAB).

Pikachu can fry the hell out of Aerodactyl, why? Rock/Flying. Rock may be neutral to Electricity, but Flying is weak to it. Therefore Super Effective.

Sure the games have different levels but the anime has its own canon plus dont you think gym leaders train their pokemon as well as other trainers. Proof of that is gold and silver where when you goto kanto the caught pokemon are low levels but everyone else is about the level you should be.

The lives of Ash and Pikachu are continuously set back a year or so once they reach the end of a region by some mystical time-being. This explains why Ash makes the same mistakes all over again, why Pikachu goes from being super-powerful to super-weak and why Ash holds a party for the fact that he and Pikachu have been friends for a whole year (i.e his 11th birthday) only to be announced as 10 again when he gets to Unova.

Ash is a strange case. He seems to live in his own dreamworld, every time he starts in a new region, he ditches every Pokemon except Pikachu, which apparently gets a level reset to 5, and then he makes the dumbest decisions in battle, proving that he never learns a god damn thing.

They dropped the ball when they brought Ash back for yet another season in the anime. Please, get rid of him. Just let it die.
