I must agree with a few below; this band's religious stance stems from fundamentalists. In that light, they're correct, yet I wish they wouldn't use these generalizations. It's only a personal pet-peeve of mine that my beliefs are so bastardized by these fundamentalists. Then, it reflects badly not only on my deity, but also on myself, when I generally follow the same fucking moral code as the very people opposed to me; I can't have my own faith without being deemed an idiot thanks to all this.
@ punkCDsampler - yes well, while Behind Enemy Lines is a good band with good songs/lyrics etc, they've got the wrong idea on true Christianity... their lyrics deal more with the extreme end of Christianity, such as the old-world Catholics, in which case Behind Enemy Lines are 100% right... but most denominations are nothing like that.
a large majority of us denounce such behavior, just like the band. we [try to be] peaceful.
Not really. Do you know how many people have killed themselves because God didn't approve of their sexuality? It's amazing. Furthermore, when people think it's "God's will" they will follow without question. Also, Christians try to hang onto outdated and old values and resist change.
i know where you're coming from, but this whole anti-gay thing is kind of hazy. it says in the Old Testament that gay sex is bad; then Jesus tells us to respect everybody, etc. most of us really do respect gays, and i feel God does too, as He created them.
and resisting change? non-religious people do that too. if something isn't broken, don't fix it. also that insane blind following GOD WILLS IT stuff is the extremists... if it's that insane or immoral, God would never ask you to do it.
TRUE christianity. AHHH we shouldve known. i mean...yours is the true christianity right? and those other 38,000 denominations are wrong. Yeah...tell them that.
"true Christianity" that's a No True Scotsmen, and If only that where true, going from the Christians where I leave their not insane, but they are by no means moderate.

idk about negative approach. I have this album and the only songs I got into was this and Hooked On Christ. It's too political for me. 5 stars.

Hell no. Stryper was a christian band. These guys think Christianity is the most hateful thing they've ever encountered.
