  • @Buang456 ankle weights dont make you jump higher, any weights that weigh you down will end up affecting your legs, and if you train with them on, most likely excersices that increase your humping height, then it will make you jump higher, because your training to jump higher while wearing the resistance. once you take off that resistance, you still have all the +s of your training, and then jump higher

  • I don't rec ankle weights. They can increase your hops but they will also give you bone spurs. If you are getting out of bed in the mornings with ankle pain for no apparent reason then u already have bone spurs.

  • Umm ankle weights pull at your joints and tendons, i think you should discontinue your use of them before you get problems with your petela. Unless you are just walking with them but jumping with them can really injure you in the future.

  • i dont think ankle weights help you jump higher because ankle weights are under your quadricepts and calves so those muscle are getting forced with that extra weight ankle weights are for running

  • Ive used ankle weights since i was 16, i started with 1 kilos (2 pounds aprox.), then i stopeed for many years. Now im back to trainning and im using 8 kilos per leg and arm (a total of 24 kilos which is 48 or 50 pounds), i know the benefits of this sort of trainning. Speed and endurance overall.

    It is risky if ur body is not strong enough to handle the weight, that for u start with very low weights and increase slowly.
