I'm from Brazil, my name is carlos , i listen onslaught by the first time in 1988, is metal 80's in the vein, is wonderful, remember my life in the 80's
If you like Metal you should listen my bands demo songs from my channel! And if you like you can become our fan on facebook! Link is on our channel! Thanks and keep supporting Metal! \,,/
Power metal?! this was 1986 for fucks sake. Quality thrash from a punk heritage. if your interested in where the good shit came from look up Sacrelige, Civilized Society, Amebix, The Blood, Discharge...MOTORHEAD!!
slayer never really sold out, after 20 years its hard to right the same music u did in the beginning but they never tuned down there lyrical brutality or wrote radio friendly songs and everything they right is still very thrashy but the 80's were there golden years
@Mexikoolz71 I disagree. I love thrash with a clear NWOBHM/speed/trad influence, like early Overkill, Heathen, Artillery and even Slayer on Show no Mercy. I love the Exodus, Kreator, Sadus style as well, but bands like those are much more common.
slayer is mainstream? come on! There are plenty of bands more extreme for sure but Slayer is still one of the very few bands from the 80's who did not sellout.
it's hard to tell but slayer.. did sell out.. by far not as hard as shitallica sold out but listen to Diabolus, God Hates Us All, World painted Blood. and after you listened that... search for Show No Mercy.. you can hear such a really big change in style, although slayer still kicks ass :P
i dunno if profgression in style=seling out? theyve been popular since reign in blood and it took a while after that for them start releasing shit albums(8 years)
i wouldnt call it a progression in style, though its certianly a change, also it isnt even their change sin music that indicate them selling out, they did a series of exclusive concerts inside of hot topic and co headlined with marylin manson, when i saw them they were OPENING for him ( whitch was personally beneficial becaus ei left afterwards) but still, not to mention megadeth creating a tour sponsored and planned by hot topic
@witchinghour666 yeah, Seasons in the Abyss was a kickass album in my mind, and they were really popular at that point, they didnt start sucking until they just got old and didnt know when to stop
I'm tired with such point of view : Very few thrash metal bands who did not sell out could survive after 2 or 3 records. Slayer is still here and still deliver the goods. Regarding metallica, blame me if you want but I don't think the black album even the load era deserve trash. I say this because I'm not listening only metal music, this might help.
lol a band isnt always going to be as good as they first started out. theyre not sellin out bro, theyre just gettin older and dont have the same momentum they had when they first started making albums
@Dagger555 Show No Mercy is my favorite Slayer record along with RiB (of course). But I would definately not say that Slayer sold out at all. God Hates Us All is a killer record. Diabolus isn't though, but I would still not call it selling out. Just because a lot of people like you, doesn't mean you're selling out.
seen them supporting testament last month which was a surprize coz me and ma mate didnt know they were supporting them, OH MY FUCKIN GOD they were sooooooooooooooo fuckin awesome
@DEFINEMETAL It really pains me to admit that, but I have to agree. I haven't enjoyed a Slayer album since Divine Intervention, and now they're just a laughable self-parodying act that need to call it quits. Most of their newer lyrics are just downright terrible.
Of corpse it's "sweaty nigger". He's hailing to Hirax!

Hello there fellow metalheads
Instead of a metal rebellion I purpose a new plan
1. Don't bash other metal artist, we need to unite, we can't fight against pop music if we aren't even together
2. Watch more and more metal video's to get it to the top of the list.
3. Instead of bashing pop, promote metal with logical reasons, not just ''METAL RULES''
If you like this Idea thumb;s it up so people can see it, and spread it out if you like this idea!
