I agree with you. But some rap songs are poetry, not all rappers talk about money, and girls. When you search well, or listen to alternate rap, you will notice what i am saying. You get educated and might open your mind/eyes....its an art you know. Story telling, life, making use of figures of speech. To understand some meaning of some hip-hop lines that seem simple to your ears, you have to be a reader, know current news, history and so on. I have got educated with lines :D

Yeah, the sad reality of pop music is that there's a demand for "pitch perfection" and it's not just kanye and t pain and other rap artists almost all major pop artists have used the auto tuner to some degree, you just can't tell as much because they hit most of their notes and the ones they miss aren't so flat or sharp like kanye's, that's what makes him sound like a robot with the auto tune on, and why t pain sounds even more like a robot, because he'e way more off the corrected pitch level...
