I don't think Talibans would listen to him even if he comes up with a perfect idea to unite them with the current government, because their are other interests that wouldn't let the Taliban factions to join the government.

I think Former Foreign Minister Mutawakkil was one of the members of Taliban regime who was moderate and had some credibility among the Afghan People. He was always wise when he would interview and he still is. He's not a warrior he is more of a figure who could be a liaison between Talibans and the current Afghan Government. He's an Afghan, and he's one of the smart ones among the former Taliban regime.
