  • Tht fucking fan hurts :< i cant even tell you how many times it did it to me. look my channle vid of it doing same shit to me XD

  • didnt you get a electric shock

  • Comment removed

  • Do not follow this guide it will kill your Xbox not at first it will give you the allusion of being repaired but in fact you caused more damage to the Xbox and it will send it to a early grave this man has no background in electronic and is teaching you how to kill your Game system just to sale you bolts learn the truth on my channel

  • YOU TOOK OFF THE HEATSINK?! O__o

  • Jtag?

  • so its pretty much just something that is loose that caused the error?

  • @L3g3ndkill4 Do not follow this guide it will kill your Xbox not at first it will give you the allusion of being repaired but in fact you caused more damage to the Xbox and it will send it to a early grave this man has no background in electronic and is teaching you how to kill your Game system just to sale you bolts learn the truth on my channel

  • WHAHAHHAH his finger :P , but uhh nice vid broo (y)

  • is there a train coming? oh wait thats the xbox

  • Press 8 for LOL

  • Touching the inside of it while it's plugged in is a bad idea D:

  • thumbs up if its funny how he filinched at the cooling fan hitting his finger at 1:04 LOL!

  • 1:02 fail .. careful where you put your hand LOL !xD

  • WTF are you doing?

  • tap 0 for a cheap scene from tron

  • press 8 for ownage

  • Wow did someone stand outside your house and call in an Ac-130 :O

  • lol mate you need to re-apply the silver thermal paste.

  • ha ha the finger part

  • fan vs finger... fan wins!

  • Do you plan to keep your xbox taking the heat sink off when it is on, Good look :P

  • so... dont get it

  • Guess you have the magic touch..

  • wats the cause

  • Nice TV

  • Dude, if you have that on cloth static electricity will fry the motherboard.

  • o that little HANA chip is fucking up on him lmfao heat the little fuck and done

  • Thumbs up if you laughed when his finger unexpectedly got scrapped by the cooling fan at 1:04.

  • @shan2kJ

    that was funny

  • @shan2kJ His finger got scraped 2 times and i'm laughing my ass off

  • OMFG! GET THAT BOARD OFF OF YOUR FUCKING BED!!!! are you stupid?!

  • i have a idea why dont we just break the red light problem solved. oh but then you have the problem of the e74 message

  • Worst system ever made.

  • 1:04 " AAAUH FUCK!!!!!"

  • cool. i agree. on my wensday lunch break, i opened up and exposed all my electronic components and turned them on. Then because i like the mood of blinky lights on my chicken whopper value meal, i use fully exposed xbox as a dinner tray. try dipping your finger in water first though. on fridays, i get freaky an use my tongue.. magical.

  • how many pennies do u use

  • the e74 error is an error that occurs after playing the xbox for too long after time. what actually happens is that the heat sink that lubricates the graphics card and the heat sink its self, disintagrates causing the graphics card to burn. all i gotta say is if you open your xbox and do what this guy did. you have to risk of shocking your motherboard with static electricity, as well as all your doing is burning the card even more into the motherboard. So. GOOD JOB BUDDY! you screwed yourself.

  • the penny trick worked for 2 years for me...! has E-74 2 years later so working on it again. penny trick does work in some cases.

  • thats why they seperate the high voltage from the main board nowdays.

so you can put your fingers on the board while its running , ow

  • @ImmortalUniverse That was the fan... Even more painful though

  • 1:04 haha he got scared and jumped lol(:...

  • has your mom ever told you that you need to clean your room?

  • @Shucaybias I know right? For real though... Dumb people

  • WTF that doesnt even make sense..... you wrap pennys in electrical tape.... electrical tapoe is not heat conductive dumbasses how the fuck will that absort and take the heat away from the chip.

  • @eraldorh

eh you fucking dumbass, copper absorbs heat, hence the fucking pennies.

  • @pileofmymemories But electrical tape doesnt you fucking idiot, and what is wrapped around those pennys? fuckmook i cant beleive how fucking stupid some people really are, hmm i wonder why heatsink are not wrapped in electrical tape...... dumbshit!!!

  • @eraldorh

Electrical tape is there for what it is supposed to be - preventing power surge and making sure pennies stay in place, stacked up.. Who is the fucking idiot now, lol?

  • @pileofmymemories jesus christ i cant believe you dont get it.... electrical tape is made so they it does NOT conduct heat so if there is electrical tape inbetween the copper pennys how the fuck is it supposed transfer the heat to the pennys, im taking a screenshot for 4chan because your stupidity is legendary. fuckmook.....

  • @eraldorh lol dude u r thinking of like heat tape or something...i am an electronics engineering apprentice and electrical tape is used to prevent sum1 from touching live wire that isnt properly insulated. Trust me, I've repaired many electronics so I am pretty sure I know what I am talking about....you wouldn't want to fry yourself would u? Yes, electrical tape is an insulator, so it WILL stop a moderate amount of heat...but NOT all of it.

  • @BurnYourSelfProds a few volts wont kill you, im a car audio installer thats 14.4v i also upgrade alts for 16+v systems. thats dc, ac through computers/xboxes ect have resistors, stil wont kill you, so kid.. stfu lmfao. electrical tape is so no wires touch each other to make a short. just..stfu kid

  • @BurnYourSelfProds I have a masters in electronic engineering, electrical tape is the dumbest possible tape you could use to wrap around your DIY heatsink if you think differently then quit your apprentiship and go do something your good at.

  • @eraldorh the object he had the tape around wasnt a DIY heatsink at all, it was simply a stack he'd made to apply pressure on the chip ...... where was it u did u degree again??? HAAAaaa

  • @niceguyhurt lol which also doesnt do a dam thing.... where was it you did yours?

  • @eraldorh In this case it actually does do "a damn thing" its applying pressure on the chip that he'd placed it on so as to force down on the soldered surface mount connections slightly as that is where the fault lies i.e- dry solder joint/s - That chip he pushes down was never manufactured with a heat sink (as u can abviously see in his video) or perhaps ur keen engineering eye didnt pick up on that. Oh and i didnt do a degree in this, its only u who has claimed to be the 'Guru' engineer!

  • @niceguyhurt You keep convincing your self that it would actually do what you seem to think it does.... then why doesnt it stay fixed.... theres zero evidence to show that it actually works.

Fuck off pretending to know what your talking about just because you baked your xbox and it worked for 3 more days your douchebag.

  • @BurnYourSelfProds Haha had to post again because this made me laugh your going to fail your apprentaship if you think electrical tape doesnt insulate, try googling it dumbass.

  • @eraldorh lol im guessing u didnt read my last sentence....you probably saw the first 10 words that i was disagreeing with you and you decided to be a hater and post stupid shit. dude, i dont need a moron to tell me how to live my life and what i think is right and what isnt. If you wanna reply to this and be a little hater boy, then go for it, as far as im concerned, any replies from u im simply. oh and ignoring quote: "electrical tape is an insulator" dude u r obviously stupid. end it.

  • @BurnYourSelfProds If you agree that its an insulator of both heat and electricity then WTF IS YOUR POINT.

    Fucking retards on youtube.....

  • @eraldorh all i have to say is: LOL

  • 1:00 lol what a dumbass

  • 1:03 your xbox was like EASY THATS MY SPHINCTER

  • @startledtoast dude thats really funny bravo

  • @MrDarthsam ;P

  • its not safe to touch anything electronic while its on or you could end up blowing a fuse in it. without this clip that removes any static electricity

  • You know what i think is really funny about the 1 red light error, is some of the time it is caused by a faulty av cable and then the victim of this does a towel trick and kills the xbox all together instead of getting a new av cable. thumbs up if you agree.

  • xbox orgasm...

  • xbox farts!!!!

  • Well that didn't work

  • it´s better reflow the hana chip and get a better ventilation in mine i get a 110 volts fan and i set it.. so my xbox is cool everytime no matter how much time i play but i had to open a hole to my xbox and the fan makes all the job ,, you only do it if you are gonna have the xbox but if you are gonna sell it, do not do it because some people say that is so ugly and they do not know that they will have troubles some time later

  • 1:05 Jajajajajajajajjajajajajaja!!! TRRR!!! the finger is broken

  • wtf???? 1:02 ?????? lol

  • @AIIYourModdingNeeds

it's because he hit the fan with his thumb

  • i got this error, so you remove that thing?

  • noooo.....I asked to fix my E74 problem but all I got was HOW TO FIX YOUR STAR WARS XBOX!!!

  • Ya your xbox just pretended to be broken so you would finger it really hard ;)

  • i did that and yes that is the problem and it did get fixed. but then the xbox turned female and got the E73 error. thanks though

  • Attention please! the flight for Rome is starting!

  • OMG YOUR XBOX IS AN AIRPLAIN!

  • wtf r u doin?

  • Putting the coins inside the fan housing is just a cheap quick and by no means permanent fix. To fix this properly you need to reflow/reball the HANA chip to the motherboard.

  • @driftmanager 2 questions

    1. will it shock me if i touch my xbox (speaking if i had mine opened like yours)

    2. if i touch my xbox without a electrostatic mat/gloves/wristband?

  • @TripDaRipper no it wont shock you. itll burn the hell out of your finger though pushing that one piece down.

  • did you just shock yourself at 1:04?

  • @godscommaro2 no, I think he just accidentally touched the fan and it scraped him and it made him jump a bit.

I don't think that was painful though :)

  • 1:03 FAIL =)

  • i laughed the entire time, i bet this kid cuts power cables that are still plugged in.

  • now does this fix it completely?

  • Why are you doing that with the power on?

  • ur xbox makes groovy music :)

  • WHY DOES YOUR XBOX SOUND LIKE A TRAIN ?

  • @seansdoesntdoweed LMFAO!!!

  • At the beginning i was convinced you had a nuclear reactor in your xbox.

  • @GodServesNoPurpose i thought it was a vibrator i was thinking why the fuck dose he have one in his xbox

  • rofl its GPU error the xbox video cards blow ass. I have the same problem I'm not going to open my xbox however. If this were a computer I'd just fix it myself. I got green slanted lines on my screen for a day then the next morning I booted it up and it gave me this error. Its a video card graphics issue your xbox video card just crapped out if you got this message. Computer video cards do the same thing. This is how myu nvidia 9800 died on me.

  • @Vega222 this is fixable you know? All it is is the GPU not making good contact because of the stupid x-clamps

  • @javierborja06 I know but I can't get the video card unscrewed to remove the x clamps. Nor am I going to try either. I've already bought a new xbox slim anyway I might actually try it this weekend. If I get this xbox working again hell I have 2 xbox 360's.

  • @Vega222 lol wtf...dude the X clamps you pry off NOT unscrew...once those are off the heat sinks will come off...simple

  • @javierborja06

I tried it again after this but the x clamps are between the heat sink and the motherboard correct? how do you get at that if the heat sink is on top of it. My xbox is a bit different in side idk maybe its a newer make (interior wise) I threw my xbox away and just salvaged the disk drive and the connectors from it. Who knows maybe I can use it as a disk drive for my computer lol.

  • @Vega222 Fail lol...the x clamps are on the bottom of the motherboard not on top...I've fixed plenty and all are the same

  • @javierborja06 either way I can't get to the bottom of the motherboard either the other side is attached to it and I can't unscrew the damn thing from the metal side. I've gotten both xbox side parts off but the motherboard is still on the metal casing and I don't have a screw driver with the weird shaped head. I saw it in another video what type of screw driver you need (don't think it was called a screw driver) and I'm not going to look for it I've been set for months from this problem

  • @Vega222 Yea the only way to get the motherboard off is to get all screws off, you need a torx screwdriver T8 and T10 or which i've use before find a very small flat head and use that. But that option is very hard and kinda hurts your fingers lol

  • Comment removed

  • OMG Thanks for the Heads Up, I was reading and they were saying it's down to the HANA Chip but I pressed on the GPU like you and i know the problem :) thanks ;)

BTW I guess I can fix this with the X-Clamp?

  • come back 'through hole' components, all is forgiven!

  • i dont get it

  • lol i thought you got an electric shock

  • haha u shocked urself lol

  • @str567z he touched the moving fans....

  • LOL 1:04

  • why do they make them so there is all these types of errors surley they have enough money to research and solve this out

  • 1:03 lol

  • I fixed mine with a PS3 and a PSP!! Haven't had any probs yet! lol

  • lmao i laughed when he touched the fan and went ouch

  • same thing happened to me when i was playing cod 4 it started making a flaky scrreen

  • @superkm101 I know you mean flakey, but your screen is shooting anti-air missiles?

  • I have a great fix on my channel, a lil more permanent

  • teddy bears in backround! XD

  • was that a role of pennys?

  • i want to know how to repaiir stuff like this, to MAKE THEM BETTER, FASTER AND STRONGER!!

  • lol i shit my pants when his finger hit the fan...he shit his pants and pulled it back right away!! lol

  • nice room...

  • youre a dumbass the problem is the silcone based thermal glue under the heat sink just replace it.

  • @chris14566 wats tht cuz i got the E74 error on my jtag and i rlly wanna fix it..i didnt pay $230 for a piece of shit

  • @XxCrazy4aimbotx its a thermal paste that goes under the heat sinks just put some on the chip

  • I lol'd when he caught his finger in the fan. I was waiting for an electric shock. Would've been better

  • lol ive put my finger into the fan b4 to lmao

  • OK I give up...what's the cause. Opening it up and playing with the parts? ...note to self...don't take the case off my xbox and pull parts off the mother board, this cause it to have an error.

  • well i just got the e74 yesterday and i got my xbox rite when they came out so it lasted awhile im going to buy the slim and mabye fix my current one and jtag it so im going to try that penny thing it seems to work

  • @johnpond69 i got mine yesterday and now i cant get halo reach nooooooo

  • @tremda7461

Mhm I heard the recent news from bungies blog the first cinematic for the soon to be released Halo Reach is officially posted on several websites. BTW I can save you some looking around because you are probably a lil' bit lazy, you can watch it here. Link is right here.

    shortener。org/6551

I got to admit I'm in awe, it for sure got me excited hehe. You should msg me on Xbox Live if you wanna game, my gamer tag = rontron3581

  • it normally works if you put the xbox back on,but if ya do not deattach the hdd in like 5 plays,it will 3 red it,ive ust had it and its been working since, voila

  • @xMackan750x Damn. You got REALLY lucky then. I'm on my 3rd 360.

  • @xMackan750x Ya, you'd think that. I took great care of my 360 and never even moved it or bumped it hard and I still got an E74.

  • i got e74 then rrod now its broke but i fixed my other xbox :)

  • lol it made me jump when ur finger got into the fan xD

  • funny when your finger touches the fan, always happens to me

get a 12v train set power controler for the fan so you can contole the fan speed

  • PS3 Slim + BF BC2 = ???

  • @gazzxr shit

  • @gazzxr it Equals shiit.. and dont give my the crap that the PS3 is better then the 360.. cause the PS3 also has the YLOD. Yeah.. So Fuck the Ps3.

  • @ZitOnPictureDay no no no no , Ps3 fails 10% of the time , 360 fails 56 % of the time , so i think ps3 is beter? idk about failiure rate now , i don't read that shit.

  • @gazzxr Your somewhat Right.. but the fail rate is only 16%. And if you didnt know.. people that get the RROD prolly leave their systems on along time or play it for years.

  • @ZitOnPictureDay yes , but i leave my ps3 on like about 6-8 hours ...

or i even fell asleap when i watching movies on it. so ur telling me if i had 360 , that i need to turn it off every 4 hrs , let it cool for 1 hr , and then play it for 4 hrs again?

  • @ZitOnPictureDay how do you know what the fail rate is?? my xbox is dicked and i never called microsoft and told them cause i dont have warrenty anymore, so if you add all the people that never filled an error, the percentage just went up. lets just hope the new xboxs are good.

  • i got sumthink lke this i tryed fixing like 20 30 times but it wont fucken work and i bort a new cpu gpu of net and it sill dnt work please help :(

  • that xbox is infected! if that was a human i would shoot it in the face...

  • i tightend my screws now i get 2 lights :(

  • @ReeceLiamAllsop 2 lights means overheating

  • @ReeceLiamAllsop The two lights is overheating... What I did is I took the xbox apart and blew out all the peices with an air hose. It has been working eversince.

  • thats what my 360 does anyway can anyone help me its really making me mad

  • the reason why u get the error is becuse cpu gets lose

  • U people are paranoid..conspiracy? gimme a break..ive had MW2 since it came out, play it almost everyday...NO RROD! this is funny, you guys know elvis is still alive to right?.. XD lmmfao!

  • sorry... TOO not to... my bad!!!

  • @CerebrlAsassn its because most of the ppl keep xbox somewhere where its less cool so it overheats quick !

  • wait if i put something like pennys wraped in elertrical tape on that? will it work?

  • now just play with your finger inside the console XD

  • i gotted it by mw2 i was playing terrorist hunt on rainbow six vegas 2 but then a min later i switched to mw2 and was doing teamdeath match and then i saw allot of pixels and then ..... fucking RROD. and you are right @digidog506

  • hahaha 1:04

  • or you could. you know. learn how to really fix an xbox.

  • the only difference was i was playing lfd2. and tried the toothpick trick. only worked for a little bit.

  • jtaged lol

  • *Touch* *Loud grind* (Instruction Book) If you touch the internal parts of your XBox 360 the XBox will get mad and yell at you.

  • I was in privte match MW2 with my friends when boom the screen whent all dodgy with ikky green lines and then i turned off my XBOX and it had 1 red light along wit hthe E74 :(

  • @DJNK57 EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO ME

  • I was playing and my XBOX 360 just turned off, I tought it was the power supply but when i tried with a new one the problem still, never appear the red lights, just can not turn on again. Please any ideas. Thanks.

  • @joseluisnewyork broken

  • @joseluisnewyork Your CPU or GPU probably got unattached from the motherboard. It's rare but it can happen. It gets so hot that it just comes right off. Sometimes heat sinks are faulty :\ The only problem I've ever had with my 360 is really the GPU in MW2 and GTA 4. But why should I be talking those games test your cpu and gpu to the max
