  • Pure Santana, one of the greatest songs and to see it done live is almost a religious experience.

  • サンタナ、歴史的5つ星"キャラバンサライ"A面の官能"風は歌う”~誘われて"宇宙への歓喜”のピークのクライマックスへ~圧巻ミンゴ・ルイスのパーカッション

  • no doubt about it!

  • best santana lead

  • Gorgeous!

  • A man inspired! Santana's greatest ever solo! Perfect album for a hot summer night

  • I`ve always liked most Carlos Santana`s jazz productions.Like this, this is one of the most gratest albums of him.

  • MAGIA, SANTANA ES MAGIA !!!!!!!

  • This is still one of my favorites and I'm not supposed to remember this song, considering being a toddler at the time. This album has to be his best piece of work. Santana outdid himself on this one. This song will take you into another dimension!!!

  • frak

eyes closed and floating such a beautiful song

  • It's a very small group of artists who can affect me emotionally like Santana does on this number. Eric Clapton, Stan Getz, Marvin Gaye, Frank Sinatra and the Beatles are in this group, so that's saying a lot for the guitarist from the Mission District.

  • When i was teenager, i used to listen Santana in room with dimmed light. I remember out there were snowing but inside was paradise. Worm, laying on couch, and listening CD of Santana, perfect sound, recorded somewhere in 80s.

And i wondered would i again find music like that.

    I must say hardly.

Now 15 years later when i listen again his music i live trough those emotion and youth again. Santana is spring of eternal life and joy for me.

Thanks Santana where ever you are.

  • @TheVodKanockers Well said Dude.

  • @key2kingdom :) tnx

  • My personal feeling is that Santana was never again so close to such a level of perfection which he reached on this album and especially in this song. This is Carlos at his best!!! Truly spiritual orgasm!!!

For those, who enjoy Caravanserai I would recommend also bootleg with John McLaughlin from Chicago in 1973. This is where Carlos proved his virtuosity. I wish he could play like that still nowadays...

  • best song from the best santana album ever made

  • all right theres only other song carlos sings can you name it

  • Close your eyes, still the mind and let your perception take wing and soar to this masterpiece! To choose one single Santana song then this is my choice! It was bliss in 72 and nothing has changed.

  • I came across this album when i was in my mid teens.....went around the last few years asking for the CD and all my "Santana" lovers says they have never heard of this album....now i have found this songs here and i'm happy again..

  • I was already a fan of Abraxas when I saw this album in the cheap racks. I thought I'd try it out. It opened my mind in ways I never dreamed of. Thank you Carlos, you are a god.

  • WOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW !!!

  • Summer, sunshine, freedom, good times, laid-back and IN the groove, just GO THERE....

  • Classic Santana

  • @devildog1953 Yes Sir. Classic Santana alright.

  • Heard this vinyl once. Should have purchased it because this song means freedom to me. It's pure. It's Santana playing at his best.

  • My Jr year at UT Austin. The memories are so vivid I could almost cry. Sweet, innocent; can still smell the scent in the air on those summer mornings going down Speedway with my GF to class. Where has time gone? But, Life has been good!

  • Btw... Im searching my ass of to get this album. Can some1 help?

  • search it on soulseek,i got it from there :)

  • @dylanBBE It's all over the internet. Enter it under Google shopping.

  • Classic.....

  • What a wonderful track this is! Pure joy and love

  • Fudd00: Only as young as you feel!

  • Classic Santana.

  • Love their album cover!

  • Song of the Wind !!!! love this track. Never get sick of it.

  • sry guy's but this you have to bow 2........

  • Un vrai génie ce Carlos Santana : J' ❤

  • I enjoyed this very much :)

  • Side one 1."Eternal Caravan of Reincarnation" (Rutley/Schon/Shrieve) – 4:28 2."Waves Within" (Rauch/Rolie/Santana) – 3:54 3."Look Up (To See What's Coming Down)" (Rauch/Rolie/Santana) – 3:00 4."Just in Time to See the Sun" (Rolie/Santana/Shrieve) – 2:18 5."Song of the Wind" (Rolie/Santana/Schon) – 6:04 6."All the Love of the Universe" (Santana/Schon) – 7:40

  • For about 4 years straight, this was the album side me and my girlfriend put on as we got into bed each and every blessed night. So this album side is of course one of OUR all time favorites, to say the least!! It calms, sooths, envigorates, is multi-orgasmic, and sends one off to another world and another consciousness. How sweet, how sweeet!! It never gets old. Purrr-fection...

    Try it.

  • @livelyarts49 lol! I was only 14 when I first heard this, but like you I played it every day (every single day!) and after I always felt like I'd been transported to another part of the universe and then gently brought home again to my bedroom. I still feel that way even now, 36 years later.

  • @moeran1944 WE ROCK!!

  • @moeran1944 Ya, it was like a ritual/ this album side starts with "Eternal Caravan of Reincarnation", with the sounds of crickets...

    What a trip!

    WE ROCK!!

  • This is 2 Fender twins full bore. The best guitar sound Carlos ever got IMO.

  • q rica cancion !!!!

  • hey, ya can't quote yourself in a solo!

  • For me one of the best lead guitar solo, remebering my youth...

  • so, who played lead guitar on this song since the above info indicated that:

    "Santana : lead guitar (02,03,04,08,09), guitar (05,06,10)..."

  • MDA tune for sure.

  • Don't know if its true .... but some wonder why Carlos never plays this tune live.. Neal Schon is said to have played this lead on the the song... ???? don't know if its true or not.

  • About one minute and 52 seconds--after Neal it is Carlos.

  • 17 years old Jamming!

  • The Universal Love, side 1 on the LP.."All the Love of theUniverse" are sung by Michael Shrieve,Gregg Rolie,Carlos Santana,Mike Carabello,Rico Reyes. The "all I ever need is for....body and soul ...I find a constant flow in Harmony.Lyrics by Maitreya Michael Shrieve. On side 2 there is this amazing song called "Every Step Of The Way".Michael has done a new version of this Song.I know.they used to ....ah well---please listen.

  • Good sound!!!

  • one of the best albums for all the times !

  • jes! i was listening to the sounds and thinking: my got, wonderful "sweet bird of youth"!

  • The old music of santana is the best

  • Clinica cattan, operacion de amigdalas 72's...(innecesaria) 3 dias de cama, La musica de dicha convalescencia Caravanserai las 24 ....Gracias carlos.

  • Oh and cant forget my hermano Carlos S. God Bless!

  • GREGG ROLIE WAS THE LEAD SINGER, NOT CARLOS! Please give the man proper credit. He was the lead vocalist on the first four Santana albums, this being the fourth.

  • @flappskin I am sorry, but the few vocals are actually sung by Carlos.

  • @69MC97gc I'm sorry too, because you are absolutely wrong. Gregg Rolie was the lead vocalist at that time. Listen to 'Just In Time to See The Sun', from this same album, and tell me that is not the same man who sang 'Black Magic Woman', 'Everybody's Everything', 'Persuasion', etc. Watch a Santana video from 1968-1971, unless you're blind, or completely tone-deaf, it is pretty obvious. rogerjazzfan has given him no credit for vocals on this entire album, and that is not correct.

  • @flappskin Are you sure it's Rolie singing 'Just in Time'? Sounds like Carlos.

Rolie was the perfect singer for the band - such a smoky voice, sends chills.

  • @69MC97gc However, I do love Santana, and this is a great album, so I am very appreciative of rogerjazzfan for posting this. Your info is incorrect, but thanks for the tunes.

  • Thanks for still remembering Duane Allman. Maybe the best 24 year old guitarist to ever leave this planet! There are no flies on Dickey Betts, Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes either! Don't forget Dangerous Dan Toler.

  • @kgallagherjax How in the heck can anyone forget Duane Allman?? Love'em!! RIP SKYDOG!!!!

  • Another masterpiece lead guitar from another master! One of the top 10 in the World! Up there with Clapton, Duane, Betts, Garcia, SRV, Hendrix etc.

  • I find this a very soothing tune. I reccomend this to anyone who needs a song to relax the nerves if you've had a rough day that's made you edgy.

  • Was going through a tough time in the military and family life, would set the record player to play this song at night over and over again. Hadn't heard this in years! thanks.

  • End of the school week Fri night 15yrs , 13yrs front room of small terraced house together loving and listening to this.......................Very powerful memories indeed. Father working nights mother away, nothing to disturb us. A different time. I know that it was special time for music. And special for me too!

  • Or is it Devadip Carlos Santana?

  • @doc2skate that is correct - Devadip Carlos Santana.

  • Carlos Devadip Santana.

  • This album is great. They just don't make them like this anymore.

  • @MultiDannyboy89 check out some mars volta stuff...heavier but Omar Rodriguez-Lopez is definitely a living incarnate of Carlos.

  • @MultiDannyboy89 I would not say "they", but Sanatana do(es)n't make them like this anymore.

  • @whsonic :) agree

  • @whsonic I guess you mean all of those OTHER artists who make them like this.

  • @mrbabblehead No, I mean Santana made his last good record ages ago (must have been in the late 70's). Now he's only cashing in with guest stars whom nobody needs and who don't add anything to the music. After "Inner Secrets" he only made mediocre records and beginning with "Supernatural" only crap.

  • Simply the best ; is this on his SG or les paul.

  • You made my week with this upload. My favorite Santana album, memories of crusin down PCH towards Malibu in the 70's.

  • 40 years on and still amazing.

  • Definitely one of the great solos on electric guitar ever!!......don't have to play a million notes a second to show greatness....ahhhh melodic heaven....

  • I remember the 70's growing up in Florida and rambling down the hiway in my Volkswagon van and crankin this song... on the 8-track.

Now I drive a Jeep and I live in Alaska.... and it's in my IPod.............Ahhhh the joy of youth.

  • I remember the 70's growing up in Florida and rambling down the hiway in my Volkswagon van and crankin this song...

  • By far one of the best songs of the century, Santana's greatest work of art ever. Enought said Enjoy forevermore....

  • Maybe the best guitar solo ever. Pure genius!

  • nice video, cant wait to see more like it

  • I remember walking around the pentacrest on the University of Iowa campus back in the 70s and hearing this song wafting out of the dorm room windows… along with the aroma of some rather peculiar herbs. Ahhh the joy of youth.

  • Desiderata

  • The Blue Camel Album...my favorite Santana

  • such a damn beautiful song

  • @MrFlacko Agreed - Carlos pours out his heart and soul on this gem - and what a band!

  • Yes.. Those blue camels... didn't think anyone would ever really take any notice of them . . ... very cool

  • You know RogerJazzFan, me and my mate Philly used to get home from work in 73, twist up a whacking great ice cream cone of a Salem and hash joint, and play this album so much you could hear both sides at once. This track was our favourite, as we eased back into the bumpy ol' couch on a blazing hot January afternoon, while Carlos cooled us off with his creamy licks and crystaline melodies. This track, and this album is all time. Thanks a very big bunch for the upload.

  • @spiggytopes

Someone who's been there, enjoyed, and dug every nuance and every twist and turn of this piece of pure music,

    perfection on vinyl.

    Definitely is all time

  • mamma mia, sembra che si stia scopando la chitarra,

    quest'uomo è un genio

  • Love those blue camels! Thanks for uploading this. Brings back some good memories.

  • Great work uploading this! I havn`t heard this tune in the best part of 30 years or maybe more! and do know what.... it sounds like I only played it yesterday ,it is so pure, think it is stored away in the back of my mind where the rest of the good stuff is!!

  • a great work and a great tune-

  • Great song. Thanks for uploading it.

  • Thanks for uploading.
