Winter Fashion Tips: Dress Warm, Look Cute

Any tips on how to style the upper section of the body? For example warm sweaters, shirts, etc. I pretty much know how to style the bottom section. But, I always ruin a cute look with a oversize sweater or puffy coat. I'm sorry, but just wearing a peacock coat or a thin sweater with a peacock coat is not enough for Chicago weather. And that's pretty much the only recommendation I have seen on Youtube. I'm starting to think all beauty gurus live in weather that never goes below 40 degree. LOL!

This is the only video on youtube that really helps me figure out ways to wear skirts and dresses in the winter. Although I don't like uggs or leg warmers, I still like the idea of tights under leggings. I feel like it'd squish into my belly tough after awhile. I live in NW PA and I'd wear these outfits in the 30s or 40s. Obviously if it's colder you'll need some pants, in my opinion. Keep being cute!

If you live in a really cold place, Smartwool tights are a great investment - wool tights are really warm, and you can wear them under dresses and even under you jeans if it's a ridiculously cold day.

Also, old fashioned slips (like your grandma used to wear) are great in the winter under dresses for two reasons: they add another layer for warmth, and they also help with skirts that get static cling and stick to your legs.

There's also like REALLY thick leggings (and no, you don't look fat or whatever in them..), it's fake fur inside them. I've worn them in -25 degrees C and was still pretty warm. I've only seen them in China though... I bought some and took with me back to Sweden. :P Gonna buy more next time I go :D

Love your style! I dress almost the same way. I live in dresses and skirts, even in winter. The only difference is tights, coats, scarves and sometimes layering (like a turtle neck under a tunic dress).

P.S. The leggings and tights combo sounds great - I'm going to try that :)
