Did you hear that? Paula & her flip flops...lol. It's okay though, if I lived somewhere that didn't get below 60 I'd rock flip flops all year round. :)
I pretty much don't like that type of cobbler. I'd rather have the old fashioned type with a shell of pie crust below the fruit, swimming in thick, clear syrup, a lattice top with sugar sprinkled on it.
Mrs. Paula, I love watchiing your channel, watching you cook reminds me of my grandmother and my aunt, especially around the holiday time. Wil you please post how you make your apple dumplings. Thank you,
We just went to Savannah on vacation and had to eat at the Lady and Sons. Wonderful. The best was your peach cobbler but also amazing were the lima beans.Do you have a recipe for those? Thanks so much for bringing our cooking to the world. Nikki in Ponchatoula
well that is way to much butter. 8 tablespoons. i only taste butter soon as i tried it. so next time i will make sure to add only 4 tablespoons of butter.
I never had peach cobbler before ever and when i found this recipe about 2 hours ago I decided I'm gonna try it right away!
I just made it with a couple of differences ;I replaced peaches with nectarines (because it's 1am and that's all I had at home) and I added some almond extract to the batter (just because I love the idea of peachy-alomndy-flavors ) and it turned out great I loved it and my mom loved it!!! =D thanks !
Great, easy recipe. Made this for the 4th of July BBQ and it lasted just a few minutes. They were scalping the tin sheet for the left overs. I added a 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla and lost of wildflower honey during the peaches cook down. YUMMY!
I love that good ol' southern accent. Nothing better than Georgian peaches, I need to visit her restaurant sometime...now to find an excuse to visit Savannah.
I have the Lady & Sons Desserts cookbook and i was soooo thrilled it had the Peach Cobbler recipe in it. My first time was New Years and it was to delicious to be true. The second time was for a coworker. Him and his girlfriend loved it. When he got home all he could text was "WOW" lol. Thanks Paula!

August 19 is my birthday <3 and I LOVE peach cobbler with a passion!! I always go crazy with the seasonings and my batter usually is just dribbled onto the top. Then when it's done the peaches are just peaking up out of the crust and omg... Put it with some ice cream... It's orgasmic x.x
This is almost exactly how my great grandma made her fruit cobblers. She used just regular flour with baking soda though. Might have to try this version and compare lol
I just made this and it came out perfect! I do not like to cook but not one would know that if they tasted this....because it taste like a pro made it! This is a recipe that should be passed down to generation to generation.

Okay I just tried making this & here are some tips. 1) If you boil the peaches it's a MUST that you ice them. Otherwise it'll be extremely messy & hard trying to peel them, as the skin will stay on harder than it would if they were ripe. 2) make sure the oven temp is 400 degrees or more. She never gave the oven temp, but I did mine on 375 & that was too low for browning.
