Alfa 156 3.8 V6 with Individual Throttles

It is fantastic. but such a big engine in a front wheel drive car is not a very good idea. I have a 156 as well

@geyza0711 Yes I would. I love my Alfa 156, it is a fantastic car in every way, I just wish it was RWD. See if you are a real petrolhead you will get bored with FWD eventually and i don't want to go back to BMW just because it has RWD. I just love Alfa Romeo but RWD is much more fun!

the 3.0 engine was never in the 156, yes 3.7 is the limit of that engine.

however the 3.2 was in the 156 and that can easily be stroked to 3.8

@TheAXL35784 Really? where? the only auto i know of is the Q-System and that came with the 2.5 V6. I know the GTA could be had with a 6spd Selespeed, but

a) It isnt an Auto and

b) it was a 3.2

The 156 was never, ever sold with a 3.0 V6 from the factory.

but you got even bigger than 8L engines

the alfa v6 3.0 24v cant go bigger than a 3.7L

ive been for more than 16years busy with those alfa v6engines so iam really surprised that he bore it out to a 3.8 and i wonder how he didt it

the only 2 options are a concave piston or do somthing with the headers

A stock 3.0l you can bore it out to a max of 3.5l and than you have to chance the stroke to get to a 3.7

oh yeah i didnt know how big they get so i didnt comment on the biggest motor...i just new that the viper has/had a 8L v8 so i just based it around that. you sound like u know a lot more than me. must have modified pistons to go further than 3.7 i wud think?
