  • Please accept my humble obeisances... Haribol! All glories to His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivendanta Swami Prabhupada! I lay in front of the Lotus feet of Krishna... You guys did a phenomenal job on this video. I'm sure people who have that burning desire in their heart for spiritual life are always eager to just wanting to leave this material world and start a spiritual journey, a journey to find that love for the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krsna.

    Thank you!

  • This is just exellent!! Loves It!

  • Hare Krsna.

Average human life is 77 years; we waste half by sleeping in ignorance. Not to mention the other nonsense we do. This video clearly shows how we were swimming in ignorance or still are. Hopefully this inspires people to inquire about the absolute truth which is eternal. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

  • What a great video, although monk life portrayed on a very physical aspect, the happiness that a monk feels, that true happiness on finding the absolute truth does not clearly show up in this video.

    Great Video!!

  • Hare Kṛṣṇa!

How is it physical? You want to see some white light and imagine that it is spiritual?

Yoga means linking once consciousness to the Supreme consciousness. What ever we do, if it is in relation to the Supreme, it is spiritual because he is the source of everything. You probably have a misunderstanding of what is consciousness. It is an internal process. The externals are there to keep us from trouble. If we operate on a mental platform, then that is what we are going to perceive.

  • How is it physical? Well you are just showing vaidi-bhakti here that's it! I understand vaidi-bhakti, but what about the typical youtube viewer who is gonna watch this video with no idea of vaidi-bhakti? After hearing to the first part, the viewer will relate his life to what mother is saying, but then seeing some monks in dark room performing arti, will throw him off, because he has no idea what is it that you are doing?!?! I think his misunderstanding will turn him off.

  • And also, you are right prabhu that on mental platform it is inconceivable, but I am telling you that showing arti is not going to attract a person from Maya, please believe me. Transcendental platform is very difficult to understand even for neophytes, what to say for the rascals! But I guess after first half you should have directed the viewer to the website, and let him find the devotional service on his own, because that is more powerful! I hope I am getting this point across!!

  • Hare Kṛṣṇa!

I understand what you are trying to say. My intention is to attract the sincere seeker, and not just some rascal. A sincere person will start to wonder of how this is spiritual. I know that it requires a whole shift of Ontological thinking to understand what this is, but when someone is sincere, he will inquire about this more.

I think that Śrīla Prabhupāda was giving the whole esoteric teaching as it is.

  • @andrej192 Aah ok I see, yes if that your criterion that this is good, I was hoping that since it is bridge preaching, we might attract many who know that truth is out there, but don't know how to approach it.

    Hare Krsna!

  • I believe that many people out there have lost the hope of finding the real truth. Since childhood we were told that this material life is it, there is nothing beyond it. What to speak about transcendental knowledge.

What ever records the followers of Jesus were keeping were partially wiped out and partially modified during the "First Council of Nicaea". So when the absolute truth is being modified, it is not absolute truth anymore.

  • Due to cultural differences between the Vedic Culture and Western Culture, it is very difficult for many people with a western background to adapt the methods given in the Vedas, and so they try to search out some of the Lost Cultures like Egypt, Incas etc to try to find the answers they are looking for.

For exmaple: It is very well known that in previous ages, there were airplanes etc. In the Vedas we can even find a detailed description of how to build one.

  • We see that the Vedas during the British occupation were labeled as mythology. But when one understands that the Vedas are actually historical records, then their path for complete self realization widely opens.

  • @andrej192 Yes what you say is correct. But, what you wrote in these comments should be put in the video as an audio so that people can hear them and become enticed.

  • May be in another video. Haribol.

  • So vaidi-bhakti in your opinion is material?

It might be mixed and not pure bhakti, depending on the persons consciousness. But the process itself is eternal. It is completely spiritual. What is being done in relation to the Lord is spiritual. The idea is that even though the viewer does not understand what is going on, it touched the heart directly. It should leave a spiritual impression, that is the whole idea. We have plenty of other bridge videos.

  • Hare Kṛṣṇa!

Good to see that you liked it.

What do you mean by lonely? We have an ashram with very intelligent Brahmacharies here and a self realized soul, so how can that be lonely?

In order to be inspired all the time, one has to be at the stage of anartha-nivṛttiḥ. That means we have somewhat developed a relationship with Kṛṣṇa, and he keeps us inspired. But even then due to our weaknesses we should continue to associate with other devotees. Move to India, use your freedom of choice.

  • Hare Krishna

    Please accept my humble obeisances

What an amazing video post. It gives very clear explanation as to why we are suffering. Doesn't the monk life get very lonely at times? How does one keep himself inspired during times of depression in the material world? Even if we are following spiritual practice, but we are still living in material world!! Is the answer is to cage ourselves and avoid the material world completely? Is it not very hard to do when you are surrounded by materialists?
