no, Shingai Shoniwa and Dan Smith went to school together and they became close friends, then a day or two before recording their first demo (the three moods of the noisettes) their original drummer left, and just the night before dan smith saw the drummer, Jamie Morrison, playing on tv, and the Producer then called Jamie (not knowing Dan Smith saw him on tv)

and asked him if could play with them cause he knew they needed a drummer, and then after they played their first gig together they realized that their band was complete and ready to kick some major ass

I'm a huge Noisettes fan. :-) I can't wait for their first full album to come out! I'm so psyched!
I just wish they had a real forum for fans to chat on...I don't know any other Noisettes fans, and it's hard to stay in the know!
