  • very inpressive, how much and how long did it take you to build this.

  • send me the software please

  • where did you get the software?

  • @herman077 Read the rest of the comments!

  • can you lower the shift point in the tranny?

  • cooooooooooooool !!!

  • This is brilliant! - its one of those moments for me when you think why did i not think of this absolute genius!

  • that motor makes 2.1bhp.. how u only getting .15hp at the wheels

    Horsepower ; 2.1bhp @ 32000rpm

    RPM Range ; 1000 - 40000

    Capacity ; 2.95cc (0.18cu.in)

    Weight ; 258g

    Stroke ; 14.0mm

    Bore ; 16.5mm

  • @JunTaoMotorSports No it doesn't The porting and other limitations will not alow it to rev past 16000 rpm! For one its a cheep china motor for two there is losses in the drive train and for three 2.1bhp is compleat bull shit! Just like the 60+mph it says on the box!

  • @garbizwal hells yes dude my mgtv 4.60 is suposed to do 40+ on pavement i clocked it at 25-30

  • @JunTaoMotorSports

I dont know where you got your info from but this engine cant even rev 32000 rpm so your numbers are compleat shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any company can post any numbers they want online but it doesnt meen its true!

  • @garbizwal the tornado s30 is a nice upgrade from this

  • if i ship a motor to u will u dyno it

  • How do u compensate for the rolling inertia on the dyno? Also how much was the software from dyno46?

  • @Novaeproducts What do you meen compensate? It is the movement of inertial that is used to calculate HP!

  • @garbizwal The rollers on the dyno will produce a linear acceleration once the rotation is in motion. Do you have any type of brakes to proportionally slow down on the drum?

  • @Novaeproducts Are you asking if I use brakes to slow it after a run? Or are you asking if I have brakes to load the engine? The load is from the weight of the rollers and the dyno 46 software calculates the hp by knowing the weight and size of the rollers! It doesnt need brakes to slow it after you can use the cars brakes or just let it coast.

  • @vrss2 These buggys were not to slow they just dont rev hi. The whole design of the motor is to keep them making bigger power at low rpm compared to the better brands.

  • seems petty gutless even if first gear

  • @Tunerboii2045 These buggies are built to rev lover so it sounds different then alot of other nitro rc cars. The clutching and porting is to keep the engine reving lower. And as for how fast it revs up, that is determined by the weight of the rollers for my dyno!

  • yes but still u would think it would still rev harder than that u cant really read it how hardf is it going anywayz??

  • @Tunerboii2045 Yes you can read how high the rpms are right after the clutch engauges on my dyno program. I tried a clutch that let it rev more and it was slower. Because the engine is built for low rpm the port timeing ect wont let it rev that hi. Think of it like this a hi end nitro rc engine is like a F1 car engine and these are like a old amercian V8 engine

  • how much did this cost

  • I built it my self. So It was the cost of the parts and about 50 hours of labour!

  • same buggy .16 engine modded and it screams

easy donuts :D but agreed cheap plastic buts till a fairly good car

  • Comment removed

  • how come you don't have air blowing across the engine man thats bad lol sorry i had to say it.

  • Short runs ~ 15 sec or less and a cool down time it is ok it was only like 10 above here then. If it was hot or I was to repeat runs I would point a fan at it. But I kept an Eye on it with my temp gun!

  • oh ok

  • that's not really bad because if the smoke is to white it's to greasy...... but it need's to be a little bit white

  • You need to pay attention to the tempature of the center of the head more then anything. I nver run my engines over 280 degF

  • yes true i'm not an expert to i have 1 but stil noob ;D

  • Dyno46 and it reads the wheel speed.

  • thats cool

  • what is the top speed in mph for this buggy when its stock....also is it reliable and how reliable is the transmission

  • 70km/h not as reliable as a hi end buggy you realy get what you pay for!

  • add an air cooling for the engine

  • A run from start to finish dosen't need it as long as you moniter the engine temp and start all runs at the same temp.

  • garbizwal is there anyway you can make your own and download the software free? message me back please

  • It is too much work just pusrchas a electronics kit from dyno46 or any of the other companys making data equation systems.

  • hey dude how did you get it to measure the speed and stuff onto your computer i sorda figured out a prototpye dyno for my car i have a lder board with a km oil temp fuel and waqter temp thing on it an di dont kno how to hook it up can u tell me whaqt you did with yours if you want i can get a picture of both of them (the dyno and the measuring thing) i just need some help =] thanks love your dyno

  • All the instructions are on Dyno46's web site.

  • how did you buikld your dyno i already have equpment 2 measure the hp and speed but i dont know how to make the rollers and the station that you pu the car on please help me anyone any ideas?

  • Find some metal and a welder and a few goodies.

  • now idea what you mean?

  • what are you using for software?

  • Man i need to kno a few more things, i sent u a message, u arent answering tho.

  • although youtube sends me a mesage to my email that I have a mesage or comment it wont let me see it till about 17 hours later. I realy think making a rear exhauste is more work than it is worth for how much I charge an hour it would be more productive to work for some more money and just buy a different buggy.

  • Well hmmm. i have already purchased a bb, i have also found a rear exhaust that will fit on it. do u kno any ways that will add a lil power, cheap ways?

  • buy a higher percent nitro. and lots of tranny gears!

  • Anyway back to the tornado, what do you think i should kno and what parts i should watch out for or replace?

  • sorry one more thing, do you think i would be able to get a rear exhaust on it, is there any way possible?

  • Anything is possible but would most likly be a waste of time.

  • what is the top speed of the tornado bb?

  • I clocked mine at 69 km/h in front of my car.

  • So that is the fastest it will go? btw, what is that in mph?

  • Thats the fastest it will go on pavement in stock for with a pipe and other mods it would be faster. For mph x km by .62 so 69km/h x .62= 42.78mph All rc car companies over rate there cars for top speeds. Just go buy a traxxas and clock its top speed. Its not like 42mph is that slow!

  • Yea, traxxas says they go like 70 mph, thats bs, ppl say max is like 45- maybe 50 on pavement. maybe on a steep downhill 70mph but other than that no way, lol

  • how or ware did you get the plans to bild it and what software did you use?

  • Dyno46 is the electronics kit and I figured out the rest

  • That is sooo cool. Well done.

  • How come you are not able to keep throttle for a long time? Is it why because you might make the engine too hot?

  • A proper dynamometer will make you engine take 7-14 seconds to rev from the bottom to the top of the test rpm range. that is to get a good reading and yes partialy to keep the engine from overheating.

  • As well this is max rpm for that buggy Redcats come with very mild duration and porting it helps them make good bottom end and let the engine last a little longer.

  • were do u get the parts?

  • All over. I am always building something so I have a few places.

  • is that a shockwave nitro?

  • no like it says on the start of the video and on the title it is a bb. It is a few steps up from the shockwave.

  • is that bb 2 speed?

  • Yes it is and Like I said I did all the calculations for about .7 hp because the engine is rated at 1. something so I figured I would take around 35-40% off and build the dyno for that. But it turns out at the wheel it is making way less! So I had to do all runs in first gear.

  • I DON'T GET IT....

  • What dont you get?

  • nice set up and good idea to learn on

  • Nice dyno run, but, I see a some mis-spelled words.

  • Where is your home built Dyno Einstine

  • I suggest going to dyno46 or perfomance trends and perchasing there kit you at leaste need the electronics this is a inertia dyno (what is best to tune with for a engine required for acceleration) I estimated this set up for .7hp at the wheels and top speed of 70 k (that is what I clocked it at with my car) because I have seen these engines advertised at 1. somthing hp but I was way off. I have a hot mail adress it starts with garbizwal you can email me their.

  • PLEASE tell me how to build a dyno i just need to make the dyno i got the graphs ands stuff down... just need to know wat to get to build the dyno to put my scale 1/10th with .16 vertex enigine one... TELL ME PLEASE send me info. THANK YOU

  • As it says in the video the rpm is calculated from the tire size gear ratio and the roller rpm.

  • how did u made the dyno measure rpms on the .18 engine of yours
