I find it hard to label a band as "best" in their genre. Almost every band got their own play style. I listen to a crap load of melo death bands. I have a hard time to say one i favor more. Because every one of them got an unique play style.

About the new album, i actually think it's better than under reprisal. And about vocals scream change, it's good! Bands who change a bit from each album create variety in their albums.

Something about this mix sounds terribly wrong compared to the previous album. The vocals sounds weaker, the guitar sounds like a synth, the bass is lacking, and the entire CD sounds like any other present day metal CD you hear. I know half the band has left since Under Reprisal, but they dont even sound like Threat Signal anymore to me. Bit of a shame really. :( the first album is one of the greatest albums in the world. This one? I doubt i could even give it more than a couple of spins.

Under Reprisal was so amazing... I agree!! Vigilance is ok but nothing like the 1st one. I miss Kyle's badass guitar leads! The vocals do sound over processed to me but I'll keep listening to see if it grows on me.

hmm i must disagree, the band still maintain the sound from previous album, even the construction of this song is an evidence quick riff parts clean scream vocals and then a melodic rhtyhm, Jon sounds perfectly this time, after hearing him from arkaea i thought this album will be a ripoff but i changed my mind still i find arkaea good but it reminds me FF minus Burton, all riffs and drum work sounds like FF but it's not the same, tastes good but not good enough.

That song was great. I love the guitar/bass work in every song from TS I hear. It's like musical poetry. While Jon's voice does sound like Chester (LP), an observation I noticed in the Melody of this song, it's totally fine with me. Jon sounded only a little bit like Chester at times, but it didn't annoy me at all like Chester tends to do. I picked up on TS 2 years ago and have been hooked since. I just noticed that they were in San Marcos, CA for a concert and I missed out. I'm sad now.
