At 1:16, why didn't the toys fall on the girl when she opened the door but, at 1:30 when Harvey opened the door the toys fell on him? (I'm sure the door was holding the toys in but, when the girl opened it at 1:16, the toys should have fallen out). Also from 2:34-2:42, was that boy really not able to open the door or, did he know that Harvey was playing a joke? (I guess at 2:54 Harvey should have stood behind the door when opening it just for safety so the toys won't fall on him).

I'm 38-years-old now and I remember watching these Harvey clips with my little sister......and I laughed & laughed & laughed everytime Harvey lost it. My sister didn't have the same reaction, but I LOST it everytime! And I still do. He has such an infectious laugh, who can resist? Even if the joke isn't funny, his laugh does it to me EVERY time.

Yeah, these clips made me think of the Road Runner cartoons where the Coyote sets something up, it doesn't work when the Road Runner comes by, and the Coyote sets the thing off when he tests it himself.

I listened to it several times and I think he says "Yeah Connie" at about 4:04-4:05

I don't here the "T" sound when George answers indicating her name is Tanya.

Maybe others can investigate this bit of trivia, to determine which it is.

There are so many things that I didn't hear correctly or understand at all when I watched them as a kid. 30-35 years later, though, since I have a better command of the English language, it's easier to undersand. There were a lot of voiceovers done by kids where the speech is slurred, and I didn't understand those until now.

I'll second that. talk about karma...I had been mad at some of Harvey's pranks (despite his infectious laughter), but vengeance can be sweet. that's for Kermit and all those you've pranked over the years, Kneeslapper. :p

I agree. Harvey's prank could have gotten Kermit's blood frozen since Kermit was out in the snow for hours. It's good that some of Harvey's other pranks have backfired. Like, the hand buzzer trick when he said to a victim "gimme 5" and the victim slapped a "5" sticker on him, the mirror trick when he asked a victim to look in the mirror, and the victim laughed at his face, and the confetti above the door when a victim pulled the rope and the confetti fell on him.

That's true, amphibians like Kermit are cold-blooded animals and I agree that it was dangerous for Kermit to be standing in the snow for a long time. As Kermit was standing in the snow for hours, I know that he looked like he was about to get sick since he was sneezing a lot and he got burried under the snow and only dug his head out.

@afriendofbean: Whenever Harvey reveals what his pranks are supposed to do to his victims, they always backfire; it happened here just as it did in the "gimme 5" sketch.

Some of the other pranks that Harvey told the audience which backfired are "the bucket with confetti" where he was going to make a victim pull a rope tied to the bucket with confetti so the confetti will fall on his victim and a girl secretly pulled the rope which made the confetti fall on Harvey. The other prank which backfired was "the mirror trick" where Harvey showed a Fat Blue muppet his reflection but laughed at Harvey's funny looking face.
