  • I love how the fellow commented that most reputable historians and scholars dimiss the divinity of Christ. That is such a loaded statement that it cannot taken seriously. Very educated and reputable scholars believe he is God and Lord, and of those in teh field, even more so.

  • "In the time of Jesus' own earthly activity, as the gospels make clear, Jesus was not worshipped. He was not treated as divine."

HAS HE READ THE NEW TESTAMENT?

John 20:28 "My Lord and my God."

Matthew 8:2 "there came a leper and worshipped him"

Matthew 14:33 they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God

Mark 5:6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him

  • How does starting with the assumption that Jesus was worshiped as a god help in your biblical studies at all?

  • Why would someone devote themselves to a mythical being?

  • @333333344444 Because many do not subscribe to the Jesus myth theory. Most reputable historians and scholars certainly do not.
