  • The fact that Trindon is 5'5 and he's running blazing times is nothing short of amazing. **no pun intended** lol.

  • hes got a giant dick~

  • I love how they all smash into the wall at the end. You would think the design would be a little better than that. lol.

  • They pretty much all false started, pause the film at 2:11 and you see movement by pretty much everybody before the gun

  • College sports are an amazing thing. I whish they did this in Europe too.

  • Trinidad sprinters boy

  • Trinidad!! BAP!

  • Cleveland Browns Jamal Lewis son a Transfer from MICHIGAN STATE has the FASTEST 40 yard time this YEAR. Search DEWAYNE LEWIS the kid is sweet...

  • Jamal Lewis can't be this kids father since he is only 30 years old himself.

  • close race

  • go trindon and thompson

  • not when its padded

  • it's probably the best part of the race

  • I don't know why people thumbs down your question but to answer it, most of the times it doesn't hurt but i have seen people hit the mat badly (usually in a bad footing) and once I saw someone sent to the hospital.

  • no because its not brick its some soft thing so they wont get hurt

  • Richard Thompson has a great future ahead of him.

  • Thompson is slowly but surely developing one of the quickest starts in the world.

  • he had the best start in the olympics. he already has one of athe best if not the best start now. of couse asafa had a bad start becasue he always chokes

  • I think there is a sub 9.8 in Thompsons near future. he definitely has one of the quickest starts in the world and he's got so much speed at the top-end. he went 9.89 in windless Beijing- can only go lower from there.(of course i would have to say the same about Usain Bolt...thats scary) But yeah Asafa has been nervous, first it was Tyson Gay that he was afraid of, now its Usain Bolt. I just hope he can knock down a PR if not a WR in Poland and get ready for next season

  • i could actually argue to you that richard thompson's top speed is his biggest weakness

  • that makes sense. i dont know much about him but here he is running the 60. . .

  • Faster than Bob Hayes? I thought Hayes was called the fastest man in history because of his 4x100 split and his 10 flat during the 1969 Tokyo Olympics. Maybe just the 40 or something... Can anyone clear this up?

  • but in Bob Hayes's day the didn't have the electronic timing, so those times aren't quite accurate. some say his anchor on the 4x100 was hand-timed at 8.4!!!!! but we will never know how accurate that was.

  • 6.51 wow

  • fucking stalker i swear, you gotta be gay or something

  • Geaux Tigers Richard & Trindon! Wow what

a 1-2 Punch and finish!!!! Congrats!

Trindon is faster than any guy who ever played Pro-footbal, AMAZING!

  • no he isnt u moron. there are a few olympic 100m guys that have played u ass

  • Thompson is the man. Forget all that rubbish about untrained speed. Richard thompson is the champion and he has LSU's fastest times...the end.

  • Richard is the boss and I have big hopes for him in beijing.

  • I don't know were thenextreggie get his information but richard thompson PB was 10.09 last year. Get your facts right

  • better you ignore the idiot. sounds bitter to me

  • Even still regardless in all the big races Holliday consistently beat Thompson, for example like in the 07 SEC Championships and the 07 Outdoor 100m Finals. It just baffles me how Thompson flipped it around, unless he was hurt last year or something.

  • the thing is Thompson has all year to train for Track, while Holliday has only a few weeks due to him electing to play Football. I guess you could say Trindon's natural untrained speed was faster than Thompson's natural untrained speed.

  • So anyone wanna explain to me where Richard Thompson came from. Last year he wasn't much of a contender for the Outdoor 100m title. And now he's beating Holliday in 60's and 100's. His PR in 07 was 10.35 and now out of nowhere he's consistently running sub 10.2's...

    How?

  • thenextreggie, You sound like you are bitter about something. Do you care to tell us what's really wrong? Did Richards success and superior performance hurt your feelings? He is simply faster than Holiday this year..accept it. Richards technique, transition, execution and composure has improved this year. People train so that they can improve. It should not be a suprise to you that he was better mentally and physically capable this year. PS dont hate.

  • richards has one right stride shorter than left stride. technique master.

  • Thompson's 2007 PR was 10.09, 10.35.

  • But trindon holliday need to work on running in as straight a line as possible. Even in the 2007 NCAA's, I think too much lateral movement cost him the 100m title. If you watch in this race, it seems as if he momentarily lost his footing.

  • Thank you ESPN for getting it right. Richard is from Trinidad and Tobago. keep blazing the track Richard. missy kane and bernie whats his face can learn a thing or two from The ESPN commentary team

  • anybody got the video of Bianca Knight's 22.40 Collegiate record

  • Richard Thompson ran a 10.00 at the Texas Relays and broke Holliday's school record. I swear LSU has to have some world class coaching for the 100m they're taking guys that come in w/ PRs of 10.5-10.4 in hs and drop them down to sub 10.2s in like 2 years.

  • faster than bob hayes is extrememly fast... years ago in the olympics its said he ran an 8.64 split in the 4x1

  • There's a big difference between 6.51 and 6.39 jayron77

  • I think maybe trindon could have ran a 6.46 or a 6.48, but not a 6.39

  • if he coulda run it...he would have ran it. he ran 6.54, thats what he could have ran and can run.

  • You're not understanding what I'm saying. If you observe his technique,it's almost certain that his time would have been faster- that run had 6.4 potential, but he has a tendency to move too much to the right or the left....maybe it's a psychological thing, or a football thing....beats me!!! But yeah I know, coulda woulda shoulda....

  • dix was injured during this meet

  • No injury was out with "Strep throat" pretty much a bad cold.

  • were is walter dix ??

  • Adam Harris is the shit...took 4th and his blocks slipped...wait for his senior year next year

  • I guess you meant to say 'incredible acceleration and explosiveness by Richard Thompson!!??'

  • Great job Richard. Big up T&T!!!

  • Geaux LSU!!
