Dude, a fellow YouTubian totally proved this video wrong. Nice job making up the numbers and making Zeus look like an idiot, you prick. Oh and your god, if real, is a pretty child with nothing better to do than hurt those that aren't his cheerleaders.
@SkelanimalKitteh So you believe in Zeus? That's rich, like believing in the Spider man.
Sinners always make fun of God when it appears that there are consequences coming. These fires are just a little SIGN of things to come if this country, this world, does not repent and follow God, even Jesus Christ. The commandments are clear.
Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Thou shalt not steal; neither commit adultery, nor kill, nor do anything like unto it.
Sir Elton, on the first day of same-sex unions in England and Wales, said: "I'm very proud of what Britain has done for gay rights. In America, unfortunately, there's the 'm' word - some say 'It's marriage or nothing'.
"Well, you're going to have to wait a long time, baby. Let's just get the ball rolling with civil partnerships. You can't go for the jugular straight away. As it happens I don't want to get married."
And gay men who use meth are among the highest risk for contracting HIV, according to local studies, perhaps because of the drug's libido-boosting effect or the lack of inhibitions and invincibility people feel when using.
The Tenth Amendment restates the Constitution's principle of federalism by providing that powers not granted to the federal government nor prohibited to the states by the Constitution of the United States are reserved to the states or the people.
“ The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. ”
States can be INDEPENDENT from the other states. We can vote. Others can move.
you are worried about FIRES, what about this from the British Medical Journal?
---The number of head and neck cancers linked to a virus spread by oral sex is rising rapidly and suggests boys as well as girls should be offered protection through vaccination, doctors said Friday.
Homo sexual men; 20 yr. shorter lifespan, 13.9 times suicide rate v hetero's. 3x more likely to smoke, 7x alcoholism rate, 19 times drug use v hetero's. Gay men 1.5% pop. 50% hiv cases @ cost of $225,656 per patient. 500 to 1000 sex partners in lifetime. 23000 hiv patients in veterans care 97% are men. It is a tragedy.
@omiolo Wow. That is a huge tragedy. Why does not the news report this? Why are they only talking of people's preferences and labeling it as "rights" when it comes to these types of illicit relationships?
Is "love" a public purpose for marriage? Cooper pointed out that Olson confused the public purpose of marriage with its private purposes. Olson played video excerpts when the plaintiffs expressed their feelings for their same-sex partner, their desire to live together, their happiness, etc. But all of that is basically irrelevant to whether the government should regulate marriage. For example, friendships are also loving relationships, but the government doesn't regulate friendships
"Dale McAlpine was charged with causing harassment, alarm or distress after a homosexual police community support officer (PCSO) overheard him reciting a number of sins referred to in the Bible, including blasphemy, drunkenness and same sex relationships."
UK news. THERE YOU GO. It has started, free speech is infringed in the name of homosexual police protecting people from religion.
I am thinking that the only thing that is failing is your ability to look at the data for what it is worth, a very strange and unprecedented event of lightning fires. I am not telling you what to believe concerning it, I am just trying to get people to think, but many won't even think or consider. They just want to consider it a fluke. OK. Maybe it was. But the timing!
I think many of these people would be laughing at Noah and the ark, even on day 10, 20, 30, or 40 of the rain.
@mormonanswerman This is like saying there is a correlation between ice cream and the number of deaths in America. Not only does correlation not lead to CAUSE, but there is, in truth,NO real correlation between lightning and gay marriage, thus your "data" becomes invalid. Being frank here, this is about as ignorant of a response as I would expect from a religious coot like you. You'll learn that life is better lived when you focus on YOUR OWN LIFE.Who others love does not concern you in any way.
@proudeuph I have found that there IS a correlation between those that promote gay marriage and a general aversion to religion, even bashing religion and God. You have such a video you made. I see the correlation of being atheist going right along with choosing to stay and be gay.
"California is safer"??? Outlawing gay marriage somehow makes California safer? ARE YOU KIDDING? Wait nevermind, you really do believe this crap. Okay, so if God really did decide to light California up into a fireball over this, then it proves 1 thing to me: That God is homicidal. If we don't obey him, or idolize him, then we are just going to burn because its either burning in hell or living out this crappy existence that compares nothing to "the kingdom of heaven". Rubbish.
Your lack of respect for God is sad, because He gave you and us everything we have here. He created this earth, your body, your chance for experience in this life, this test of how you behave. He gave it all to us, and the opportunity for us to make the most of it is ours for the taking. If we can't even give God credit for anything, and consider life "crappy" its because of a very bad attitude and lack of faith. I am having quite the OPPOSITE experience of what you describe. I love God too.
This is also true in Kansas. So many tornadoes occur in that region, with over 250 being reported last May.
Why is this? It's because Kansas is the gayest state in America. All those farmers "going to the cornfield."
That's why god punishes Kansas, so much. That's also why he sent Judy Garland to Oz. A) to rehabilitate her and B) to prevent her from influencing young boys to wear red shoes and sing about rainbows.
Whelan states that Walker is amending the federal district court rules to allow televised coverage of what media companies are touting as a "modern-day Scopes trial" in order to give same-sex "marriage" advocates as much of an edge as he can, with little regard to the serious consequences that pro-marriage legal counsel and witnesses may face.
However, Edward Whelan, president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, asserts in a column for National Review Online that Walker is making unlawful maneuvers to televise the Perry proceedings that violate long-standing federal judicial rules designed to guarantee a fair trial.
Revelation 16:18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
19 ..and the cities of the nations fell:
20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
Every year the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association put out a list of serious health problems found among those who engage in homosexual behavior. Source: Gay Wired 7-18-02
So long as California allows homosexuals to live in their state they will see an increase in the level of fires. Homosexuals cause fires! Christians need to pick themselves up and wipe out the sodomites who are after your children!!!
Actually, they do cause fires. So do any other people who practice wickedness, whoredoms, witchcraft, and lying, stealing, and breaking of the commandments of God.
Gen. 19:24 Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven;
OK, we're not there yet, but I do believe the Lord sends warnings, and I personally believe that those fires had something to do with that. You don't have to believe that, and my church did not teach that. Just me.
Genesis 19:27 ¶ And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the Lord: 28 And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.
"Cal Fire reported Friday that the late June lightning storms set a total of 1,781 fires around the state, of which 335 are still active. Among those fires, 1,005 were within Cal Fire jurisdiction, and 57 are still burning." (lakeconnews)
and yet NOW Cal Fire reports only 300+ for 2008?? Hmmm. Why are they adjusting their numbers downward? Because most of those fires are NOT in their "jurisdiction" as reported? That's DECEPTIVE.
There are over8,500,000 lightning strikes a day, is god causing all of them, or just the ones that start fires, or just the ones in places where they allow gay marriage?
Europe has various laws allowing gay partnerships yet we don't get a lot of bush fires over here. Africa? Not much gay tolerance there, but plenty fires. You mention Greece, their laws do not support Gay M but get more than their fair share of fires.
Are we starting to get a connection here? Hot, dry countries== bush fires?
Apart from the video showing your "stats" to be lies, by what logic does setting fire to brush show that god is angry at homosexuals?
In what way does the damage done to the environment & houses,or the peril to the firemen and residents impinge on gay people? I'd imagine they would be affected in the same proportions as the population, estimated at about 5%.
Also, how are we to work out the connection between the two? It is hardly obvious, man kisses man, lightning starts fire!
These figures were produced using the information provided by CAFIREGOV and now those numbers have been altered. That's scary that our government can do that and deceive people.
There is plenty of information showing the true numbers as they happened in June 2008 on all the news channels, and even the FIRECAGOV communications team put out an information piece shown in the LINK TO THE RIGHT in the description box. READ IT and weep?
watch?v=2pC5b-SefUc shows how your "statictcs" have been distorted.
And even if this is not true, I note you fail to answer the rest of my comments!
Why would god punish gays by indiscriminately burning property belonging to families? Why not target only gay's houses? Also, why set fires, just because gay marriage was made legal?
The fact is, the connection between the fires and prop 8 is so tenuous as to be ridiculous and I'll bet even a lot of mormons would say you are talking crap!
No, that video has been refuted, and a retraction is forthcoming, because they didn't do enough research to get the facts that are all over the internet, although a government agency website has altered numbers (no big surprise there given the HEAT of this gay movement controversy).
Scriptural history shows that lots of innocent people get hurt when judgments of God come upon the land. The flood and babies and kids died too. Sodom and Gomorrah getting fire and brimstone rained upon them and babies and kids died too. Cities sunk in ocean in ancient America and babies and kids died too.
If these fires are anything at all, the timing IS curious, and let them serve as warnings to the believer. The unbeliever would always scoff at such "nonsense."
You right there, the only mistake you made was putting quotation marks round the word nonesense, when it should have been written NONESENSE!
S&G had F&B rained down, the Egyptians slaughtered by the angel of death, the Californians get eerrr...., bush fires? which have been happening every year for millenia, isn't god getting a little vague.
Where were the fires in Nazi Germany, or Cambodia, god's not worried about genocide, just cocks being put in the wrong orifices apparently.
Also, why would god want to warn the believers, surely god would want to convince the unbeliever, and the way to do that is not by your bush fires, but by something which could not be explained away as a natural occurance.
We can easily find out if your stats are true, now prop 8 has been passed, from now on there will be NO fires, right?
Homosexuality is only one of many sins that will bring destructions in the Book of Revelation.
Rev. 16: 9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. 10 ...poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, 11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.
this passage makes no reference to homosexuality... repenting for ones deeds can be many things, be it heterosexual promiscuity, murder, thieving, too many things, just cause you want it to b doesnt mean it is talking about ONE thing in particular
Just want to let you know I'm going to get married to another man as soon as possible, for the sole purpose of pissing off your childish god who sets things on fire because he's so angry about people loving each other. I'll probably go to Massachusetts or Canada, neither of which have yet been burned to a crisp by your petty deity. I wonder why!
The radical gay agenda, fathered by atheists, seems bent on disrupting that which is good and normal, that which nature ratifies, and which began in a book called Genesis over 5000 years ago when there was no such thing as a gay person.
Marriage is between a man and a woman. Always has been and always should be. Its the right thing to do.
seriously though, why did god make most dolphins gay then? Most dolphins unknown to most people have intimitate gay relationships with other dolphins untill they are fullgrown...and even after still share that special bond ;-)...just a good example of gay relationships with animals. But besides that many other animals show a tendency for gayness when females are in shortage (lol). There's also gay penguins here in germany hehe....maybe god was sloppy eh? happy he did make me straight though :D
Dolphins do whatever, dogs hump human legs and couches, etc., etc., but the fact is, the animal kingdom still reproduces, because those supposedly gay animals still mate with members of the opposite sex in their species. The sex drive is strong, we all know that.
But the fact remains still,
A man and a man will never make children. And if they get a woman to make children, then all they have got is a perverted form of illegal polyandry.
dolphins do whatever? that's nonsense specialy if it has to come from god. Contradicting the very thing u believe in.
Dogs hump human legs because they see us as their companions and masters.
My gay friend wishes to experience sex with a woman atleast once. I guess he qualifies for survival through that. And while the sex drive is strong it can be so strong the gay penguins in germany DONT want to mate anymore with ladies, they are happy with each other.
I wanted to add to that the total % of gayness in a species is always limited. The reason is just as u said. The species would die out if there were to many purely gay animals. Henceforth not so much homosexuality exists else evolution couldn't take hold for nothing would be there to breed further with. And if you really want gays to be gone...just wait till their genes have all died out. (fat chance to that one though, unless u gene manipulate)
As long as you see yourself as an animal with no brains, then we will never see eye to eye on this. I know that you and I are sons and children of God and have a much higher purpose and intelligence.
your very first sentence is a fallacy. As an animal with no brains? At which point do you suggest I lost it in the first place? And I agree humans have a higher purpose but it's not being some idolating gentry staunched with backwardness. Humanity should express itself in every form possible. You yourself have the choice what to do. Join or turn the other way. But don't try and use the slapstick on people. Only god has that right and legal frameworks are man's domain. This enough brains for you?
According to the aforementioned website, there were 332 lightening caused fires in 2008. Are you ignorant or deceptive? Being a mormon, my guess is the latter.
Yeah, probably some gay guys working there changed the data from when I got it to make it look better. However, there still is a remnant document on the site of the fact that there were over 2000 fires THAT WEEK ALONE!!!
Check out the PDF link on the same site.
Who is lieing here? Not me. Long live traditional marriage is what I say...
had ignited in 26 counties from over 6,000 lightning
strikes. As one of the most severe wildland fire events ever experienced in Californias history, these fires destroyed over 500 structures and took the lives of 15."
Whoa! Most severe EVER RECORDED. That's a fact you can take to the bank.
No lies here, read the description and follow the link video gamer. Then you can see that I am right, there were over 2000 fires in one week. The website changed their data, but we have GOOGLE to verify all the national news reports that there were 2000 fires in one week. The gays can't change the data for all the news papers too.
mormonanswerman, i have read many of your comments to those who are atheist, blaming them that they simply want to put their faith in scientists who are against god. but you are doing the same here. you want to believe that the fires had something to do with gay marriage. you simply find something that correalates with the event of prop 8 and pin it on god.
This was not a "simple" correlation. The fire ratio was 350 to 1. There were 2500 fires that week. Compared to the average number of fires per week for previous years (7), that is a huge compelling difference, and MOST people would say "I wonder why that happened?" When they just realize the judges overturned the will of the people and passed gay marriage, it makes you think. This is just too strange to pass off as "normal" nature, although you could if you were blind.
so you're saying that god gets off by burning innocent people's homes and property simply because he can't stand the fact that a few judges passed gay marriage? that really sounds like the loving, caring god that you so zealously support
fires average along at 350/yr for forever, and then in ONE WEEK you've got over 2500? All of a sudden as the judges overturn things and make gay marriage legal?
If it is a coincidence, its a very compelling one. That's just too strange. It gives pause. Its like comparing an average of 7 fires a week (350/52) to 2500 fires. Compare 7 fires to 2500 fires. That's 350 to 1 ratio. 350 times MORE fires. Right after the ruling. It makes you think.
But it is interesting to note that "somebody" got to a matrix of data that changes the 2008 lightning fire total. Very deceptive. All the news papers reported this. All the remnants of that 2000 fires in one week fact still remain in search engines, newspaper archives, and even wikipedia picked it up.
YOU go figure. The only thing that is a myth is the currently CHANGED number, and I can bet that gay activists are behind it, because they are ashamed?
Whatever, dude. I don't care about your fire total or matrix, nor about your religious theology. It's plain silly. You could argue that the awful fires we're having right now are because God is angry at you for passing Prop 8.
Gay activists have nothing to be ashamed of, no more than the black activists who fought for their civil rights. In spite of people like you and in spit of Prop 8, we will win our civil rights.
Nancy Ramirez, a Los Angeles-based lawyer with Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, a Hispanic rights group, said illegal immigrants are viewed as "vulnerable" targets who may not report an attack for fear of being deported.
But Ramirez said "U visas" for immigrant victims of crime and domestic violence are available. In exchange for their court testimony, such immigrants may be eligible to stay legally in the United States
A teen, who moved to South Florida from Mexico after Hurricane Wilma in 2005, said Bleiweiss fondled and masturbated him on two separate occasions.
A man from El Salvador and his brother were returning home from work on their bikes when Bleiweiss stopped them. The deputy fondled the man after ordering his brother to leave the scene, officials said.
The alleged attacks did not surprise many who work regularly with immigrants.
These volunteers spend their summers here on the outdoor stage in Nauvoo's historic area. Dickamore is part of the core cast of more than 20 with speaking roles. The rest of this on-stage cast of more than 150 people is actually families with children from all over the country who rotate onto the stage every week. When families arrive...
Pageant Associate Director Alexandra Mackenzie said, "We throw them straight into dance rehearsal and they start learning the dance."
He's not the only one. Folks come from all over the world to participate. Alexandra Mackenzie traveled from the British Isles to volunteer as the production's associate director.
NAUVOO, IL -- More than a thousand actors and never-before players flock to the city of Nauvoo during July to perform what's called the Nauvoo Pageant.
Its obvious you are not interested in being reasonable, you cannot answer a simple question in a straight way, you evade and distract so that you do not have to address any perspective that is not your own, you accuse atheists of being immoral, and then lie about science and the atheist position, ignore and distract from the issue and censor those that have opposing view points.
How can you make progress under those conditions? You can't. No wonder so many people still believe in fairy tales.
I had been taught and found it true that we can be warned of danger and shown early what we have done which displeased God. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil (Matthew 6:13)
I had learned that it was important to give thanks for blessings and to ask for forgiveness. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors (Matthew 6:12). I had been taught that we ask for what we need and pray for others to be blessed. Give us this day our daily bread (Matthew 6:11). I knew that we must surrender our will. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).
wow, some god u worship. kills the people who share his views and those who don't when the california constitutionis upheld. is there some kind of divine psychiatrist for creators like that?
Not that I agree with the church, but what I do agree with is the precedent that this type of propaganda sets when people start thinking that gays have a right to be outraged at the beliefs of other people.
Its all related, and as long as the right to worship how, where, and what they may is violated or threatened, we slip further and further from the principles of the Bill of Rights that were set to protect us from tyranny of tolerance.
While I do NOT agree with their methods per se. I think the underlying issue is something that needs to be addressed.
Homosexual is a burden on society and the individual. Honest people realize that and these people did the ONLY thing they thought would help. Although it was misguided.
So the idea is to outlaw anything that is the number one indicator of diseases and virus'?
I couldn't find anything published in JAMA that said homosexuality is the number one indicator of AIDS so if you can point me to a paper or something. thank you.
How can you say that going in the direction of tolerance is in the opposite direction of our Bills of Rights.
Its a well founded truth that our founding fathers left intolerance to create a tolerant state. It is this kind of thinking that leads us in the opposite direction of our Constitution and the ideas our founding fathers set forth and died for.
The fact is, gay rights do not affect you directly. They do not affect your rights. Your prejudice, however, affects theirs.
""This is a group of people who have historically been discriminated against and in some cases physically attacked, and I would prefer to protect their names," Carr said"
sounds like the Mormons, yeah the militant homosexuals DEMANDED the release of their names.
"The information that we're talking about is personal information," said Cordova, who is representing the employees with noted gay-rights attorney David Coffman. "The risk is privacy, and that's something that is taken very seriously by the court system."
yeah, privacy for themselves, but NOT for ANYONE else who disagrees with their agenda.
"The City Light employee -- Philip Irvin, 58 -- has requested that the city release the names of organizers of the city employee groups, specifically those of a Seattle Public Utilities "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning and Friends" group"
so the tax payer pays for this group but is NOT allowed any information on it?
The militant gays want everyone else to release their names but they are opposed to them having to do the same thing.
May we long remember that which we have heard during this conference. I remind you that the messages will be printed in next month's Ensign and Liahona magazines. I urge you to study the messages and to ponder their teachings and then to apply them in your life.
Just to be clear, I am not arguing with omiolo over his stance on gay marriage, just his paranoid attitude towards others he feels are out to get his church.
Secondly, and in that same spirit, I also invite the members of the Church to establish the temple of the Lord as the great symbol of their membership and the supernal setting for their most sacred covenants. It would be the deepest desire of my heart to have every member of the Church be temple worthy
The fact is the favorable opinion amoung Christians has grown towards the LDS Church because of their uncompromising stance in this matter. And to insult a whole slew of Christians by insinuating that they would vote for something which they feel is morally wrong for the sake of sticking to the Mormons, doesn't help your cause.
You obviously believe the number is large enough that it is a problem for you. And let's be clear... it's not the FLDS that are "infiltrating" your church, about whom my original statement was about when we started on the discussion about the FLDS people just wanting to be left alone. So again, you stereotyped a whole mess of people trying to justify your lack of empathy for the FLDS children and mothers.
a LOT Of the polygamist groups consider themselves FLDS. If they wanted to be left ALONE, they would STOP with the murders, and the welfare fraud. It also does NOT help to do the TALK show circuit.
Or does being left alone include the TALK show circuit?
Murders and Welfare fraud? You get a gold star for rumormongering and stereotyping... congratulations!
You are obviously an ignorant bigot. Tom Green is not and never was FLDS. He is an independent fundamentalist. You apparently have no clue that the FLDS is one church amoung many different fundamentalist Mormon churches. The only reason the FLDS have done interviews is because their children were abducted and to counter rumors from ignoramuses like unto yourself. You make me sick.
Come back. Stand with us. Carry on. Be believing. All is well, and all will be well. Feast at the table laid before you in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and strive to follow the Good Shepherd who has provided it. Have hope, exert faith, receive—and give—charity, the pure love of Christ.
Says that teens do TWICE AS GOOD with an involved FATHER working with their MOTHER. Actually it says that FATHERS have TWICE the influence to prevent teenage pregnancy (also known as MORALS), as the mother.
Chalk one up for Traditional Marriage. Long Live Traditional Marriage!
This is PRECISELY why we have the constitution, to protect the rights of the minority groups from the tyranny of the majority. You don't HAVE to approve of gay marriage. All you have to do is allow them their personal freedom to do it. I don't approve of your religion, but damn it i'll fight to the death for your right to practice it.
California is not the only state to oppose same-sex marriage. According to a new USA Today/ Gallup poll, the majority of Americans continue to oppose gay marriage.
Ironically, this powerful and well-funded gay lobby continues to use rhetoric to promote hate speech, encourage social protest and incite harassment of individuals or groups who oppose their agenda. The Californians Against Hate Web site, an archetype for gay activism californiansagainsthate*com continues to utilize false implication and exaggeration to impugn anyone who dares oppose them as hatemongers.
Now that the California Supreme Court, in a 6-1 ruling, validated Proposition 8, last fall's voter-approved constitutional amendment forbidding same-sex marriage, it is interesting to examine the tactics and public conduct of the gay activist community.
But not on the issue of whether same-sex marriage is legal. The ruling was on whether or not it was a revision or an amendment to the Constitution. Go read the 187-page ruling to see what I mean.
Oh yeah, where do you get the cojones to argue my opinions and then attack ME for arguing your opinions? Fundamentalists are the worst kind of hypocrites. And this goes for all your posts: "Immoral" is relative. What you view as moral, a lot of people don't, and vice versa. The biggest problem with people like you is that you just can't respect differing viewpoints. You'd be a much greater christian if you'd learn your beliefs don't need to be defended, and just went on with your life. Peace.
"moral decay, debauchery, hedonism, confusion, and it stops children from being raised by their biological parents."
As for the first four, it is your job as a parent to educate (or in religion's case, brainwash) your children about whatever morals you hold highly. Don't force your job on society. As for your last point, I fail to see how it's relevant. Anyone can adopt a kid, regardless of marital status or sexual preference. If you really wanted to prevent that, you'd try to outlaw adoption.
Sorry to give this guy press, but it is instructive as to just what kind of immoral mindset we are dealing with here, someone who would even mock all that is sacred and deny God in the process. We are dealing with the militant, atheistic, BORG (as in you will be assimilated) mentality.
"We are dealing with the militant, atheistic, BORG (as in you will be assimilated) mentality. "
Clearly you've never seen the movie Jesus Camp. Now THAT is a militant "borg" mentality if i've ever seen one. It's an interesting in-depth look at ultra-fundamentalist groups who follow the same principles you express in your comments.
those people are ANTImormon too. They are soo ANTImormon that they are taking the No on Prop 8 side so as NOT to side with the Mormons. So do NOT put them in our camp.
And because he hates you guys enough to oppose Prop. 8 that means they all do?? For a person from a group that doesn't like to be stereotyped, you sure are doing a lot of it.
"Adding the first sentence doesn't make your statement any more clear"
maybe NOT< but you should NOT be the one to define what I said by ADDING your own words. It is NOT much of a debate if you get to arbitrarily ADD words to my own words.
I just find bantering with you entertaining because you are so hardcore. I'm just killing time until the McCraney guy from "Heart if the Matter" responds to my e-mail and I can argue with him.
Elder Nelson recalled times he spent with Madsen in Boston more than 50 years ago.
"None of us then could fully appreciate the spiritual strength that he demanded of himself on getting his doctorate at Harvard," Elder Nelson said. "There, his unshakable conviction would have been measured against the traditional philosophy and standards of the world, yet Truman blossomed and flowered in that clenching and challenging circumstance."
The former LDS mission president was best known for his writings and lectures on philosophy, religion, Joseph Smith and Jesus Christ.
"I don't know," Elder Scott said, "of anyone who has done more to fulfill the statement (in a popular Mormon hymn) that 'millions shall know Brother Joseph again' than your beloved Truman," he said.
Elder Oaks was the president of BYU during many of the 37 years Madsen was a professor there. He said Madsen "influenced a generation of Latter-day Saint thinkers, was a revered teacher at BYU, was a powerful ambassador for the church and made such superb use of the tools of the academy to show that Mormonism has good answers for the great questions of philosophy and life."
They said farewell to a man whose intellect and work thrilled and inspired many church members.
President Eyring called Madsen "one of the great witnesses of the prophets and the Lord Jesus Christ." Imagining a heavenly reunion, he said, "I'm absolutely sure the prophets will crowd around him."
Heartfelt goodbyes to Madsen at his funeral Tuesday in a full Provo Tabernacle came from family members, retired quarterback Steve Young and five of the most prominent leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints —
Think of it this way. If gay people get married, it is NOT going to somehow destroy your current marriage. You're not going to be forced to marry a gay person. It's just allowing them the same benefits as everyone else. Why don't you want that?
HOW? You keep saying that, but you don't say how. Your scare propaganda may work on other fearful religious types but the fact of the matter is, you're afraid of nothing. Your paranoid delusions hold no basis in reality. The world is not going to end, society will not plummet into primal anarchy. It's all in your head.
moral decay, debauchery, hedonism, confusion, and it stops children from being raised by their biological parents.
Look what happened in Holland after they changed the definition of marriage. No it was NOT immediate, but it was the EXACT same sins as Sodom and Gomorrah. I do NOT think that is a coincidence.
Now, I'll try to be brief. I hate to tell you this, but marriage is, above all else, a social institution, not a religious one. The concept has been around since before there WERE religions. Second, even if it WAS a mainly religious institution, guess what? Yours isn't the only one out there. There's a bunch that are okay with gay people getting married. There's never been such thing as "traditional" marriage, and keep your CHURCH rhetoric out of STATE law.
On another note, I thought this was interesting. You point out that the number of forest fires spikes dramatically in 2008. I looked at your profile, and this is what it said: "Joined: June 10, 2008." By your impeccable logic, your hateful rhetoric causes forest fires. Jackass.
Wow, I can't believe you just tried to associate wildfires with gay people getting married. You are truly delusional. First off, it is your right to believe whatever you want, and I'm okay with that. However, marriage is, first and foremost, a social institiution, more than it is a religious one. Therefore, in the interest in basic equal human rights granted by the constitution, it should be every person's right to marry whomever they want, without your religious rhetoric standing in the way.
Dude, a fellow YouTubian totally proved this video wrong. Nice job making up the numbers and making Zeus look like an idiot, you prick. Oh and your god, if real, is a pretty child with nothing better to do than hurt those that aren't his cheerleaders.

Sinners always make fun of God when it appears that there are consequences coming. These fires are just a little SIGN of things to come if this country, this world, does not repent and follow God, even Jesus Christ. The commandments are clear.

@omiolo and I do not think the government should ever get into the friendship business or the regulation of it.

If we can't even give God credit for anything, and consider life "crappy" its because of a very bad attitude and lack of faith. I am having quite the OPPOSITE experience of what you describe. Why is this? It's because Kansas is the gayest state in America. All those farmers "going to the cornfield."

Gen. 19:24 Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven;

There are over8,500,000 lightning strikes a day, is god causing all of them, or just the ones that start fires, or just the ones in places where they allow gay marriage?

Are we starting to get a connection here? Hot, dry countries== bush fires?

Apart from the video showing your "stats" to be lies, by what logic does setting fire to brush show that god is angry at homosexuals?
In what way does the damage done to the environment & houses,or the peril to the firemen and residents impinge on gay people? I'd imagine they would be affected in the same proportions as the population, estimated at about 5%.
Also, how are we to work out the connection between the two? It is hardly obvious, man kisses man, lightning starts fire!
wordavee 2 years ago
What video shows these stats to be lies???
These figures were produced using the information provided by CAFIREGOV and now those numbers have been altered. That's scary that our government can do that and deceive people.
There is plenty of information showing the true numbers as they happened in June 2008 on all the news channels, and even the FIRECAGOV communications team put out an information piece shown in the LINK TO THE RIGHT in the description box. READ IT and weep?

Scriptural history shows that lots of innocent people get hurt when judgments of God come upon the land. The flood and babies and kids died too. Sodom and Gomorrah getting fire and brimstone rained upon them and babies and kids died too. Cities sunk in ocean in ancient America and babies and kids died too.
If these fires are anything at all, the timing IS curious, and let them serve as warnings to the believer. The unbeliever would always scoff at such "nonsense."
mormonanswerman 2 years ago

Where were the fires in Nazi Germany, or Cambodia, god's not worried about genocide, just cocks being put in the wrong orifices apparently.
wordavee 2 years ago 9

LONG LIVE TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE
The radical gay agenda, fathered by atheists, seems bent on disrupting that which is good and normal, that which nature ratifies, and which began in a book called Genesis over 5000 years ago when there was no such thing as a gay person.
Marriage is between a man and a woman. Always has been and always should be. Its the right thing to do.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
seriously though, why did god make most dolphins gay then? Most dolphins unknown to most people have intimitate gay relationships with other dolphins untill they are fullgrown...and even after still share that special bond ;-)...just a good example of gay relationships with animals. But besides that many other animals show a tendency for gayness when females are in shortage (lol). There's also gay penguins here in germany hehe....maybe god was sloppy eh? happy he did make me straight though :D
BrutusAlbion 2 years ago
Dolphins do whatever, dogs hump human legs and couches, etc., etc., but the fact is, the animal kingdom still reproduces, because those supposedly gay animals still mate with members of the opposite sex in their species. The sex drive is strong, we all know that.
But the fact remains still,
A man and a man will never make children. And if they get a woman to make children, then all they have got is a perverted form of illegal polyandry.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
dolphins do whatever? that's nonsense specialy if it has to come from god.
BrutusAlbion 2 years ago
I wanted to add to that the total % of gayness in a species is always limited. The reason is just as u said. The species would die out if there were to many purely gay animals. Henceforth not so much homosexuality exists else evolution couldn't take hold for nothing would be there to breed further with. And if you really want gays to be gone...just wait till their genes have all died out. (fat chance to that one though, unless u gene manipulate)
BrutusAlbion 2 years ago

your very first sentence is a fallacy. As an animal with no brains? At which point do you suggest I lost it in the first place? mormonanswerman, i have read many of your comments to those who are atheist, blaming them that they simply want to put their faith in scientists who are against god. but you are doing the same here. you want to believe that the fires had something to do with gay marriage. you simply find something that correalates with the event of prop 8 and pin it on god.
Fartloading6Fartload 2 years ago
This was not a "simple" correlation. The fire ratio was 350 to 1. There were 2500 fires that week. Compared to the average number of fires per week for previous years (7), that is a huge compelling difference, and MOST people would say "I wonder why that happened?" When they just realize the judges overturned the will of the people and passed gay marriage, it makes you think. This is just too strange to pass off as "normal" nature, although you could if you were blind.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
so you're saying that god gets off by burning innocent people's homes and property simply because he can't stand the fact that a few judges passed gay marriage? that really sounds like the loving, caring god that you so zealously support

fires average along at 350/yr for forever, and then in ONE WEEK you've got over 2500? All of a sudden as the judges overturn things and make gay marriage legal?
If it is a coincidence, its a very compelling one. That's just too strange. It gives pause. Its like comparing an average of 7 fires a week (350/52) to 2500 fires. Compare 7 fires to 2500 fires. That's 350 to 1 ratio. 350 times MORE fires. Right after the ruling. It makes you think.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
Yeah, it makes me think you believe too much in mythology.
IantoCross 2 years ago
No, I believe in facts.

Whatever, dude. I don't care about your fire total or matrix, nor about your religious theology. It's plain silly. You could argue that the awful fires we're having right now are because God is angry at you for passing Prop 8.

Warrior,
you say the FLDS and other polygamist groups do NOT want attention or limelight.
Yet I have seen them on Oprah, Larry King Live, and CNN and numerous talk shows.
In your world, do people who appear on these shows shun the limelight?
I am trying to figure out what you think is sound thinking.

Do you miss me yet? I have some things to do today and will likely respond to you in a video as the length of posts is limited in the comments.
Toodles.

Omiolo-
The fact is the favorable opinion amoung Christians has grown towards the LDS Church because of their uncompromising stance in this matter. And to insult a whole slew of Christians by insinuating that they would vote for something which they feel is morally wrong for the sake of sticking to the Mormons, doesn't help your cause.
BookofMormonWarrior 2 years ago
"The fact is the favorable opinion amoung Christians has grown towards the LDS Church"
NOT for the Jesus Camp people,
for example BILL KELLER.
omiolo 2 years ago
So let me get this straight...
- "Plygs" are infiltrating your church by the thousands?
- Christians will support immorality if it means sticking to your church?
LDS Social Services can recommend a good psychologist. Check them out.

"church by the thousands"
I NEVER gave a number, right?
second I did NOT use that word to characterize them. I believe that is your word.
I know you want sensationalize what I know and said, but there really is NOTHING wrong with being straightforward.
omiolo 2 years ago
You obviously believe the number is large enough that it is a problem for you. And let's be clear... it's not the FLDS that are "infiltrating" your church, about whom my original statement was about when we started on the discussion about the FLDS people just wanting to be left alone. So again, you stereotyped a whole mess of people trying to justify your lack of empathy for the FLDS children and mothers.
BookofMormonWarrior 2 years ago
"the FLDS people just wanting to be left alone"
a LOT Of the polygamist groups consider themselves FLDS. If they wanted to be left ALONE, they would STOP with the murders, and the welfare fraud. It also does NOT help to do the TALK show circuit.
Or does being left alone include the TALK show circuit?
Right Mr. Greene?
omiolo 2 years ago
Murders and Welfare fraud? You get a gold star for rumormongering and stereotyping... congratulations!
You are obviously an ignorant bigot. Tom Green is not and never was FLDS. He is an independent fundamentalist. You apparently have no clue that the FLDS is one church amoung many different fundamentalist Mormon churches. The only reason the FLDS have done interviews is because their children were abducted and to counter rumors from ignoramuses like unto yourself. You make me sick.
BookofMormonWarrior 2 years ago
"Murders and Welfare fraud? "
are you saying these things did NOT and/or do NOT exist?
I am looking for a definitive answer from you??
omiolo 2 years ago
"Christians will support immorality if it means sticking to your church?"
first of all, Mormons are Christians and second of all, YES. I even gave you a specific example.
omiolo 2 years ago
You are truly unbelievable, do your church a favor and keep your paranoid theories to yourself.
Of course LDS are Christians, did I state otherwise?

Nah, sometimes I believe???

Chalk one up for Traditional Marriage. Long Live Traditional Marriage!

"According to a new USA Today/ Gallup poll" etc.
This is PRECISELY why we have the constitution, to protect the rights of the minority groups from the tyranny of the majority. You don't HAVE to approve of gay marriage. All you have to do is allow them their personal freedom to do it. I don't approve of your religion, but damn it i'll fight to the death for your right to practice it.
blix797 2 years ago
"to protect the rights of the minority groups from the tyranny of the majority?"
what about the rights of the majority from tyranny of the minority?
your types keep saying, if we can attach **civil rights**, or **tolerance** to it then EVERYONE has to give us what we want.

California is not the only state to oppose same-sex marriage. According to a new USA Today/ Gallup poll, the majority of Americans continue to oppose gay marriage.
omiolo 2 years ago
Ironically, this powerful and well-funded gay lobby continues to use rhetoric to promote hate speech, encourage social protest and incite harassment of individuals or groups who oppose their agenda. The Californians Against Hate Web site, an archetype for gay activism californiansagainsthate*com continues to utilize false implication and exaggeration to impugn anyone who dares oppose them as hatemongers.
omiolo 2 years ago
Now that the California Supreme Court, in a 6-1 ruling, validated Proposition 8, last fall's voter-approved constitutional amendment forbidding same-sex marriage, it is interesting to examine the tactics and public conduct of the gay activist community.
omiolo 2 years ago

If you really wanted to prevent that, you'd try to outlaw adoption.
blix797 2 years ago
"Don't force your job on society"
how about society NOT force moral decay, debauchery, hedonism, and confusion etc on me?
omiolo 2 years ago
"As for your last point, I fail to see how it's relevant"
you do NOT think biological parents are relevant?
omiolo 2 years ago

we have done that from gays definitely. Since they can NEVER be the biological parents.
One step ahead of you.

Sorry to give this guy press, but it is instructive as to just what kind of immoral mindset we are dealing with here, someone who would even mock all that is sacred and deny God in the process. We are dealing with the militant, atheistic, BORG (as in you will be assimilated) mentality.
omiolo 2 years ago
"We are dealing with the militant, atheistic, BORG (as in you will be assimilated) mentality. "
Clearly you've never seen the movie Jesus Camp. Now THAT is a militant "borg" mentality if i've ever seen one. It's an interesting in-depth look at ultra-fundamentalist groups who follow the same principles you express in your comments.

those people are ANTImormon too. They are soo ANTImormon that they are taking the No on Prop 8 side so as NOT to side with the Mormons. So do NOT put them in our camp.

I do NOT think I EVER used the word **ALL** in this situation.

About the "Jesus Camp" folks, you state:
"They are soo ANTImormon that they are taking the No on Prop 8 side so as NOT to side with the Mormons. So do NOT put them in our camp."
Sounds pretty all inclusive to me.

you should NOT have clipped off the first part of my response. Notice I did NOT use the word ALL, when referring to **those people**

Riiiight. Adding the first sentence doesn't make your statement any more clear, but if think it does, by all means post it again.
Shed your pride, admit you flubbed up, apologize, and move on.

"Adding the first sentence doesn't make your statement any more clear"
maybe NOT< but you should NOT be the one to define what I said by ADDING your own words. It is NOT much of a debate if you get to arbitrarily ADD words to my own words.

Elder Nelson recalled times he spent with Madsen in Boston more than 50 years ago.
"None of us then could fully appreciate the spiritual strength that he demanded of himself on getting his doctorate at Harvard," Elder Nelson said. "There, his unshakable conviction would have been measured against the traditional philosophy and standards of the world, yet Truman blossomed and flowered in that clenching and challenging circumstance."
omiolo 2 years ago

Think of it this way. If gay people get married, it is NOT going to somehow destroy your current marriage. You're not going to be forced to marry a gay person. It's just allowing them the same benefits as everyone else. Why don't you want that?
blix797 2 years ago
"If gay people get married, it is NOT going to somehow destroy your current marriage"
it destroys society, and a decaying society hurts marriage.
So NO it is NOT a one step process. One needs more vision than that.
omiolo 2 years ago
"it destroys society"
HOW? You keep saying that, but you don't say how. Your scare propaganda may work on other fearful religious types but the fact of the matter is, you're afraid of nothing. Your paranoid delusions hold no basis in reality. The world is not going to end, society will not plummet into primal anarchy. It's all in your head.
blix797 2 years ago 2
"HOW?"
moral decay, debauchery, hedonism, confusion, and it stops children from being raised by their biological parents.
Look what happened in Holland after they changed the definition of marriage. No it was NOT immediate, but it was the EXACT same sins as Sodom and Gomorrah. I do NOT think that is a coincidence.
omiolo 2 years ago
"Your paranoid delusions hold no basis in reality"
I think it is really classy of you to ask me a question and then answer it yourself and then ATTACK me.
That really shows your character and willingness to hear and listen to others.
You win the TOLERANT award....

man + women ≠ man + man

Prop 8 upheld by California Supreme Court Justices (6 to 1). Marriage is between a man and a woman, traditional marriage.

There's never been such thing as "traditional" marriage, and keep your CHURCH rhetoric out of STATE law.
blix797 2 years ago
"The concept has been around since before there WERE religions."
and it has ALWAYS been between men and women!
omiolo 2 years ago
On another note, I thought this was interesting. You point out that the number of forest fires spikes dramatically in 2008. I looked at your profile, and this is what it said: "Joined: June 10, 2008." By your impeccable logic, your hateful rhetoric causes forest fires. Jackass.
blix797 2 years ago
LOL!
That is funny! Good one.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
Wow, I can't believe you just tried to associate wildfires with gay people getting married. You are truly delusional. First off, it is your right to believe whatever you want, and I'm okay with that. However, marriage is, first and foremost, a social institiution, more than it is a religious one. Therefore, in the interest in basic equal human rights granted by the constitution, it should be every person's right to marry whomever they want, without your religious rhetoric standing in the way.
