  • Does anybody know the story behind the revered Theotokos icon exhibited?

  • Thank you so much for this video! Please pray for the church that I go to in London, St. Botolph it is the only Christian Orthodox Church that has a Divine Liturgy on the Lord's Day. Pray that more people will enquire and join us. Continue to pray for each other, and always Rejoice! Rejoice in the Lord always!!!

  • @SohoNights There are many other Orthodox Churches in London which have a Liturgy on Sunday.

  • my soul is in pain when I see destroyed Churches. Long live my Russian brothers for eternity. greetings from Serb

  • This was just wonderful. Nice editing job, wonderful choices on the soundtrack. Very well done.

  • God save and protect the Orthodox Church.

  • Beautiful Icons and presentation: now to purify the Faith which has been infiltrated with gnostic heresies during the communist times when very few Orthodox writings from the fathers were available! The most egregious of these dualistic pagan ideas is the "toll-houses" which denies the very power of Christ Himself in His defeat of Death and Satan! Christ Jesus, Ruler and Savior of us all-save us from soul-destroying heresies!

  • @JudithMatta The toll houses do not deny the power of Christ. You are attacking an idea of straw, Judith, just like the rest of those whose attack the teachings on the toll houses.

The toll houses are about the abode of the soul when it enters the spirit world/dimension after death.

  • Finally ! At long last !

  • fantastic job!!!

  • "The crisis of communism exists to the extent that it has failed to free the people it rules from a belief in God. The crisis of the West exists to the extent that it is indifferent to God." -Whitaker Chambers

  • Great Work!

Unfortunately, here in Greece some people would do anything to stop a similar event.

  • @panbouboulis I am sure of that!!!!

  • There is a book entitled; Father Arseny 1893-1973 Priest, Prisoner, Spiritual Father. It would provide some insight into this time period.

  • This is just gorgeous to see and so moving. Thank you for posting this. I am so proud to be Russian Orthodox. I so wish this exhibit would come to the United States.

  • From the US, to our brothers and sisters in Christ in Russia: It is difficult to watch this without having awe for your perseverance, the technology involved and the sheer beauty of what you restored and how you presented it. But the it is the tears at what communism has done and the torture they put the faithful through, that makes this exhibition all the more glorious. How beautiful our Orthodox faith is and how reverent those who approached with Christ's love in their hearts. Glory to God

  • To think, these are people the US govt is surrounding with missile bases. :-(

  • It could be that Orthodox Christianity in Russia will be the guiding light for the rest of the world. America's secularism and rebellious spirit have literally suffocated Christianity in this country. What Americans would stand for hours to to view anything but a rock concert or a sports event, much less to show their devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ? Lord have mercy on us in this country.

  • Warm Regards from Greece

  • Hello from Greece. I'm trying to hide my tears while watching this, since i'm at my office working. Technology can be a blessing when properly used. Greece is supposed to be the source of Ortodoxy, since we passed it to you at first, but i think your faith is more pure than ours. You have millions of martyrs, even today (Evgeny Rodionov). Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  • @georgekaps Glory to God for All Things! And thank you.

  • @georgekaps You have been holding the tears because of Beethoven's 7th Symphony adagio who I think was not quite pious)

  • Oh, this made me weep. What an incredible opportunity for learning and healing.... the technology is incredible. May it be blessed.

  • Oh, this made me weep. What an incredible opportunity for learning and healing.... the technology is incredible. May it be blessed.

  • christ is RISEN! Truly He is RISEN!

greetings from Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR) in Indonesia. :D

  • The Faith is what kept the Rus' peoples (yes, and many more than America boasts of...) together for a millenium. Now, that Russia is turning back to the pre-schism Orthodox Faith, the United States is going socialist under their choice of president. How sad, the Russians and All Slavs suffered 70 years (a 'biblical number'..) under god-less Communism, which America now is embracing.

  • This was beautiful. There were parts were I was tearing up.

By the way, what music was used in this?

  • @CrymsynEve Thanks. Me too. Sorry, don't know anything about audio background.

  • @CrymsynEve The part from 3:27 onward is the second part of Beethoven's 7th.

  • @CrymsynEve the piece during the veneration of the icon is the 2nd movement from Beethoven's 7th symphony. I have never heard the other pieces though

  • @CrymsynEve From around 3:40 the music you can hear is the second movement of Beethoven's 7th Symphony. Hope this helps.

  • Holy Russia. May God bless all the people of Russia. May his kindness shine upon and his grace be with them. God bless the Orthodox Faith and the Russian Orthodox Church.

  • hmm Nice

  • The children's reaction was the most beautiful. All our children should know the love and respect of God that way. The whole things was so beautifully put together. God bless everyone who did this!

  • Information about the Tikhvin icon can be found here:

    ocafs (dot) oca (dot) org/FeastSaintsViewer.asp?SID=4&ID=1&FSID=101821

  • Maybe to balance things out they should have shown dramatic images of what life was like for most Russians under the Tsars. This might have given some context for the violence later shown toward the Church, which was an arm of the state under the Tsars.

  • @ochlophobist It was communism that destroyed the churches not the tzars. The world knows that.

  • Beautiful. Can you please share the name of this icon, and its story?

  • @LKashinn This is Miracle-working Icon of the Mother of God Tikhvinskaya (of Tikhvin).

  • @LKashinn Sorry, You Tube doesn't let me to put link to the article about this icon. Maybe you could do Google Search for "Tikhvinskaya Icon", this is what I did to get the link to the article in English. Thank you.

  • @SlavaBoguVoveki Thank you! That is very helpful!

  • @LKashinn You are very welcome.

  • Beautiful and AMAZING! I hope this travels world wide in the native languages of each hosting city/country. God Bless All! Glory to God for ALL things.

  • Amazing.

  • I must have reposted this a million times on my facebook account....thanks for putting it on youtube. Glory to God! Thanks to the people who put this exhibit together and those who donated the money to inspire, support and encourage the Orthodox faithful in Russia and elsewhere!

  • Glory forever, SlavaBogu! Glory be forever! :o)

  • Life under the tsars was like any earthly kingdom: human, political, sinful even under good leadership. One should never judge religion by it's governing hands. None of this deserved the deaths of 20 million people, to their minds and most of all to their souls. Communism destroys the free thinking heart and mind to be what one is. Christianity is freedom of choice to live and love as one's conscience speaks with full use of the mind. Free to love God; free to live without Him.

  • Christ is Born! Glorify Him!

  • I would love for this exhibit to come to America!

  • What a glorious and beautifully uplifting video! Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!

  • Beautiful, thanks for sharing!

  • i think that once every some years , for something like this , wouldnt be a bad idea!!!! instead of spending money fon making weapons and wars. at least that kind of exibitions can help people to come closer to reality. GOD!!!

  • Glory to God for All Things!

  • No worry on Orthodoxy

After all that Russia been through, it was able to revive the Orthodox faith

Really Glory to God for everything

    God Bless you Russians
