GREAT vintage Tower Records footage......Russ Solomon. Bankrupt many times, the last time was for good. RIp Tower Records Retail Stores....we miss you.
@TEMPmichaelhansen I also miss Tower Records. You have said a mouth full! I am from PA, and I feel like we have lost one of the greatest record stores in the world. It's like a part of me is missing something without Tower Records. Also, it was one of the most classes places to buy music.

Ah, one of the two most luckiest people in the World. Bernie Taupin and Ringo Starr.
Taupin is an arrogant little smudge of a luckster. EJ could have found millions of lyrics. Yeah some of the lyrics were good but it was without doubt the melody that made em. Taupin, an ungrateful arrogant souse. Yeah he and Ringo both got hit by lightning!
@MeatloafTribute1 you can utterly consume a hot bubbly cup O mix in an 8pz Styrofoam cup you toothless lime bastard. Ass hat, rat bastard and jiz drinker.
@TEMPmichaelhansen I also miss Tower Records. Their store on Lower Broadway and 4th in Manhattan was really great. Their 2nd floor was the best place in the city t o browse through music.
You're missing the point. You've called a man an idiot for expressing his opinion based on his taste. Your opinion is that there are 50 (ah, that' almost 1 every week) classics a year. So, by your logic, that makes you an idiot if someone disagrees and says there's only 5? Or 10? I'm sure you don't think so. You're entitled to your opinion and, fairly, so is Bernie.
@energyplusmore claiming that there are fifty classics a year is like saying every record of popular music is going to have a hit. A real classic is the kind of song that you can listen to over and over and over again and never get tired of it. Fortunately, Elton provided us with quite the stack of those :)
probably didn't get mobbed because as they do in the world of celebrity, they shut the stores down so they can shop -- or they came to Canada where I live because we are too polite and afraid to say anything!

Tower Records on Sunset used to be the place to be. I remember seeing David Lee Roth getting out of a Limo just like that back in the 80's.

@spiralcosmosart They both deny having been lovers. And Elton denied it AFTER he came out.
