I just went through all your tutorials regarding Blender, and it seems like you are leapfrogging and not keeping us up to date. For example, I didn't see any cabin/pilots in the previous tutorials. (Another example is not showing us how to do the reflective panels).
Don't get me wrong, though, you are doing a holy labor, teaching us how to do all this, but it's kind of odd trying to keep up like that.
@Stickman698 Making an airplane can talke 9-12 months. I cannot POSSIBLY show you all the intricacies of making an aircraft from scratch without leapfrogging. I show you what is most important to get you going on the segment to be completed, and then move on to the next concept to be grasped. In the end, creating an aircraft is an art, a labour of love, something that requires your own creativity and initiative. I cannot spoonfeed you. I can help you get over some humps, but can't do it all.
@Stickman698 About the reflective panels: there are things I purposely don't cover, because I'd like people to try to figure stuff out for themselves. If they see something that intrigues them, they should think through techniques and methods themselves. If you actually got the ERJ-140, it would take you only a few seconds to figure out how it was done. With what I show you in these tutorials, you should have the tools to be able to implement it yourself.
@Stickman698 Datarefs are hard to wrap your mind around. There are around 8000 datarefs, and they will always be somewhat of a treasure hunt to find the right ones for your needs. I still struggle with that myself. All you really need to know about datarefs is, that they represent all the functions that X-Plane executes, which you can tap into, to add functionality to your plane. No need to memorize all datarefs. You can always look them up. That's what I showcase in those tutorials.
@Stickman698 There are way more datarefs than there are buttons. In fact, the cockpit buttons don't internally connect directly to datarefs. They are more closely tied to "commands," but datarefs end up getting switched by commands. You can find a list of commands and datarefs in X-Plane's "Resources>Plug-ins" folder. They're labeled "commands.txt" and "datarefs.txt." You need to add "CMND=" before the commands, and set the manipulator type to commands in Blender.
I can't promise anything right now (I've made that mistake before). We're in the middle of another move, and I hope to be back at it after that. There's lots more to showcase... but if you've come this far, then wing flex should simply be a matter of following the principles showcased here: parent to animated bone, assign X-PLane dataref. Nothing too fancy.
Haven't gotten to that yet. Our house flooded, we have to move out, and I simply haven't had time to spend on the tutorials lately. Sorry for the wait.
@danklaue BTW i have an idea for your v-tol. To replace the puffers, that is what u have right puffers, u could have a swash plate on bottom and top of the propellers which would make it easier to balance. I don't really have any experience on planes but that was just an idea i through out there.

@danklaue Okay. I get this. But it still is kind of odd. By the way, the two first tutorials about datarefs were very confusing to me.

@danklaue I got the fact that I don't need to memorize them all. (8000? It doesn't seem like the cockpit creator has THAT much buttons).
Anyway, thanks. I think I'll be able to carry on by myself from here.

@TheLamas408
Glad you found that funny. I didn't even notice. There's probably a lot of obscenities resulting from keys pressed during Blender modelling. :)

@danklaue I didn't mean to seem immature, but i just happened to notice.

@danklaue And plenty of obscenities that DON'T result from keys being pressed >:-)
