JUST BEEN TO SEE MARTYS SHOW AT GATESHEAD UK IT WAS FANTASTIC.

 I THOUGHT I WOULDNT ENJOY IT MUCH AS I THOUGHT HE WAS MORE OF A ROCK COUNTRY MAN BUT THE SHOW WAS PURE COUNTRY WITH A LITTLE ROCKABILLY. THE FOUR PIECE BAND WERE AWESOME,THEY DID FANTASTIC BLUEGRASS HARMONY, SOME BALLADS I WAS BLOWN AWAY COS I HADNT EVEN LISTENED TO MARTY STEWART IN THE PAST ....NOT MY KIND OF COUNTRY BUT I WAS WRONG .......IM A NEW FAN.

Alright, does anyone remember some network television special tribute to Merle Haggard that had Marty Stuart, Clink Black, Vince Gill, Leroy Parnell among others singing this song? I can't seem to find my VHS copy of that show. It may have also had Delbert McClinton on it.

THIS GIVES ME CHILLS, all of those Super Pickers on stage pickin together, Brent Mason is AWESOME, I met Him in 1985 at Pedal Steel convention, ask to have My picture taken with Him after I heard him play, He ask me ... WHY do you want your picture with me??", understand NO one knew him, I said you are awesome and you are going to be really famous, He said "You think so??", I assured him I knew he would be, I rest my case Brent was super nice to Me, and a true star of guitar,
