At that point in time America was still proving itself as the supreme power in the world and when Japan hit us with a cheap shot.. they paid dearly.It showed not to mess with America and the free world. Cassius Clay changed his name and religion as soon as the war started to prevent being drafted, and while every other american that ran from the draft was sent to prison, he was only stripped of his title.
