@Treehugga18 Well in the Mansion was a laboratory where you had to do a Puzzle concerning Virus', perhaps he infected the toys with that stuff because the Children usually went sick.
Why he did it?
According to the Book / Game he most likely made a pact with the devil.
@Treehugga18 i think that the fact that the children died was more of a consequence to stauff than a intention at first, maybe "his visions" show that he was a possible normal person at first, then it got like possessed.
@Treehugga18 The game doesn't flat out say, but in the doll room, they mention that the dolls ARE the children. If I were to guess - I would say the dolls stole the souls of the children, causing their bodies to die. Stauf basically had made a deal with the devil to collect a certain number of souls and your character (the boy), is the final soul he needs to complete the bargain. Since it doesn't flat out tell you, this is merely my interpertation.
lol i like when you said please reframe from watching these videos i dont know why i love ur accent though (FIIIIIIIIIIIIINAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLY SOMEONE LIKE ME!!!!)
Funny, I would've said it was the Win '95 version, 'cept where it shows which companies were responsible for creating this game looks different (much like if you were seeing it while playing 11th Hour.)
I will admit the actors in this game when compared to 11th Hour (excluding Robert Hirschboeck as Henry Stuaf of course, he is awesome) were a bit on the dull side, but even though FMV games never really got off its feet, they DID get better.
I am pretty sure it was the DOS Version, I didn't get Windows 95 until Diablo 1 came out and only because that game needed it xD
Yeah the Spoonyone said it once that the problem with FMV's is that they usually didn't get real actors to act so they are either under or overacting and it iiis pretty dull.
I am kinda glad the FMV time is over :P They didn't know what todo with all this new Capacity called CD and just made movies with a game woven around it.
The music on the title is Red Book audio, which would have played directly from the CD, so that sounds as good as they cared to make it. The rest is either MT-32, General MIDI, Sound Blaster, or a few others, depending on how you set it up; I'm guessing General MIDI in this LP.
I have a buddy with the same accent as yours, wheres it from?

I heard the actor who played Stauf was actually a history teacher in real life. Sometimes he does the voice to freak people out.

MrTurok999 1 year ago
It was mostly because of the music that I didn't finish the game as a kid. XD Plus the puzzles got really complicated.

Use dosbox to run it on modern computers. I don't know if dosbox runs on windows 7 but on earlier systems it's perfect.

Well, that certainly looks like an odd group. I don't think I would have gone to that place if I had a choice.

Hmmm the normal CD-Rom PC Version :o at least I am not aware that I have some special Version xD
Perhaps the Emulation with SCUMM and newer Soundcards made a difference from the older soundcards, no idea :o
