I used to play the violin in high school and I picked up the cello as a second instrument, although was never good enough to improv on the spot. There are actually 1/2 size violins in china, i think mine was 3/4

It's a violin, but played this way, it's called a fiddle. :) Violas are slightly larger... between a violin and a cello. Then cellos there are 4 different sizes... Oh bahumbug. Forget it. Haha! ;)

lol 2.. 4.. now I'm just confused.. I used to play with a guy who had a viola but called it a fiddle.. In conclusion. These instruments are as confusing as their owners :P
