Okay with the title, Irony much? Especially with the fact that with everything that could go wrong, did. That is probably what people will remember for a while. But with some of the music is alright. But with me, I find U2 just meh, I don't hate them or love them, but I can listen to some of their songs.

This song is not HORRIBLE and I usually like U2 more than the other stuff out there. But this is probably the blandest, most forgettable thing I've heard in a very long time. Music wise, this isn't the best musical, however, just go and watch the show yourself and don't listen to the critics because it is AMAZING!! You'll never see anything like this again in your life! I watched the preview, PREVIEW, with Matthew James Thomas playing Peter Parker and almost every single audience member gave a standing ovation!!! Matthew was AMAZING and so was the show so forget the critics reviews and watch it for yourself because you will definately not regret it!

My only question: would the average person really buy this to blast and travel to see a show worth $300 for 2? This is not the best of Bono and The Edge--its a capitalistic opportunity to sell an already written story with their name attached. Thats all! Im not hating but this is what keep the classes divided and art constantly being dead...

@GreatWoman the music is not the best feature of the show. The stunts, set, acting, villains, and (new)storyline is the part that makes it amazing. And when people so "oooh it's just all about the amazing set and stunts" well, it is AMAZING and there is art in those features, as well.

I thought it in 1981 and I think it now. Bono and The Edge are Lennon and McCartney. Born Cool. Both groups are Irish (Look up the names Lennon and McCartney). And both wrote incredible music together. It's to their credit that Bono and Edge have lasted longer.

@clairebear999 they edited the stunts as fair as I know. the Audience is in more danger than the stunt guys as far as I could tell as the harnesses have 4 lines and the one time he doesn't is when he's on top of Goblin.

I thought the stunts were really cool and I saw it on Christmas and they only had a minor slip up of having a hard time removing a harness at one point. Overall it was awesome though and I think it's worth seeing for yourself. They literally fly over your head from the stage and land on the balcony.

I just went to the show last night where they producer explained that they edited some scenes so it was safer for the stunt men to the point they had to re build some of the seating in the place as even during the production they were moving so fast they had time to shake give nods to kids before going back to the stage.

Songs are not very memorable either except this songs melody is good. but they work well for the play. Ending needs work though.

i love the song, but the star, Reeve Carney, just isn't cutting it for me. He doesn't seem right for the role of Peter Parker. His voice is more suited for a show like American Idiot. Ya know what I mean? And from what I've seen in clips of the show, he looks like an emo kid all the time. His costume fits the character of Peter, but Reeve doesn't. I'm not sure how this will turn out, but I'm hoping for the best. Julie Taymor knows what she's doing!

@Mandiefire It was the first preview performance. Previews are basically like early movie screenings. They're there so the director and crew can see what works with an audience and how the show flows. Technical flaws are expected, especially with something this advanced.
