3K is still pretty nasty. I'd rather just replace components on my 2011 and pray to the bike-Gods that the tubes aren't damaged too badly. That whole shebang shouldn't cost me more than 1k. Lets see what happens 2013.

@Yamato3run Yes, you're right. But in this video, Specialized is talking about their new frame. I think it's stupid, they should test the whole bike. Components are very important for the bike handling.

How come it has a RockShox Boxxer in this Video and on the Specialized Homepage it says RockShox Domain. With the Boxxer it'd be a good deal but not with the Domain!!!

between this $3,100 and the $3,900 sx trail which are more than adequate for most burly riding what the hell do you need the slightly better but over $3,500 more demo for?..granted the demo 8 11 has better components but unless your a pro its overkill and not enough to justify the huge cost difference.this is an excellent value for the money by far.

@tasteegold7772 occasional riders probably aren't going to notice the difference between the status and the demo, but if you're a serious rider and/or a racer, you're definitely going to notice the geometry and suspension mechanics are way more develloped on the demo than on the cheaper status. however, I really don't see why anyone would pick a Status over one of the no-middle-man brands like YT-industries and Canyon whose FR/DH bikes are not only much cheaper but so much better equipped
