And about the European thing, the canon story is that maybe after one or two fights, the US and Europe discovered the Russian's sabotage, and instead of fighting each other, it became a war...
Just read the books, it makes so much more sense.
This is why I choose the American faction. I see them as the victims and the protagonists of the game, the Russians as the sneaky antagonist, and the Euros are in-between. Remember, the Ruskies uploaded a virus to the Euro missile shield that caused it to think the final part of the Freedom Four was an ICBM.

@Halo4Lyf Typical American attitude. Countries have always joined together to stop others from gaining too much power. Look at continental Europe when the British empire started expanding drastically. Or the Nazis. countries will fight each other for many reasons... But the danger of one becoming too powerful and upsetting the balance has always led to other countries starting a way against the bigger one. Historically, the barbarian tribes allied against the Romans.
Yes sometimes countries pick on the weaker, but overall it's basic survival instinct to band together in order to bring down the largest common threat. NATO against Warsaw? Atilla the hun allying with the Visigoths and other barbarians to take on and eventually cripple the Romans? Hell even the subsequent rush for territory when the new world was discovered was for resources, influence... and to stop any one single country from gaining too much.
In conclusion, there's a difference between defending yourself and showing that you aren't to be pushed around... Just like there's a difference between having the world's largest stockpile of nuclear missiles to "deter" attackers while threatening them at the same time... as opposed to having the world's most technologically advanced missile defence system for the same result, without others feeling threatened.

And when the war finally DID begin... Russia and the USA were allied against Europe until Russia stabbed them in the back.

So when the laser shot it down, the USA thought Europe was behind it since it was a European satellite that shot the shuttle down. Also, the reason why the USA tried to kidnap some high ranking European officers was because they had lintel that suggests they were planning to destroy the lifter.

Look at continental Europe when the British empire started expanding drastically. Or the Nazis. countries will fight each other for many reasons... But the danger of one becoming too powerful and upsetting the balance has always led to other countries starting a way against the bigger one. Historically, the barbarian tribes allied against the Romans.

Yes sometimes countries pick on the weaker, but overall it's basic survival instinct to band together in order to bring down the largest common threat. NATO against Warsaw? Atilla the hun allying with the Visigoths and other barbarians to take on and eventually cripple the Romans? Hell even the subsequent rush for territory when the new world was discovered was for resources, influence... and to stop any one single country from gaining too much.

In conclusion, there's a difference between defending yourself and showing that you aren't to be pushed around... Just like there's a difference between having the world's largest stockpile of nuclear missiles to "deter" attackers while threatening them at the same time... as opposed to having the world's most technologically advanced missile defence system for the same result, without others feeling threatened.

But one note about my militia - it is the descendant and expression of the values that built this country. Personal initiative, autonomous action, personal ownership of the means of violence, and local government. Where a militia unit exists, things will be hard-pressed to fall apart.

@CampinCarl354 actually, the russians ignited the war, they tricked the americans into war against the europeans. the space cannon that shot down the american space ship was the "anti-nuke-laser defence",made by europe, the cannon received a virus that made the cannon identify the ship as a nuke. russians installed the virus in Rovanniemi into european network and from there to the cannon, or something like that.

Europe never started it. Russia did by planting a virus into one of Europe's satellites. Making it think the Freedom 4 was a nuke and not a space shuttle.

To people wondering what Endwar 2 will be about, my belief is that the bald guy we see with his eyes closed and tubes in his nose, is seeing the future. I think Endwar 2 will be WW3 all over again. For the game, thats good. Because there were many things about Endwar 1 that should have been better. Besides better gameplay, they need to have more country's. I think in the end... Europe was the true victim.
Russia was obviously the mastermind... Framing Europe for the shuttle destruction. Before that, the Americans came and attempted to kidnap several high value European Politicians. And when the war finally DID begin... Russia and the USA were allied against Europe until Russia stabbed them in the back.

@shadowmare97 actually that's not true. Europe and the USA were allied against Russia until Russia planted a virus into the Shield Network so the satellites would mistaken the Freedom 4 for a nuke. So when the laser shot it down, the USA thought Europe was behind it since it was a European satellite that shot the shuttle down. Also, the reason why the USA tried to kidnap some high ranking European officers was because they had lintel that suggests they were planning to destroy the lifter.
