The US pretty much plays the same way today, very basic in many areas, simple in attacks as it should be, but back then Mexico was staying behind due to its incompetent Soccer institutions leadership failing to implement an improved program to set a higher standard across the league and in it's national team. For more than a decade Mexico's Main Soccer institution failed to prepare the national team for any game

USA plays with a stadium supporting our team only at Columbus. Everywhere else in this country, is Mexico who has the advantage of having the public on his favor. And still we have dominated 'em for a decade. Another one, and will be a whole generation of mexicans experiencing defeat by the truly Kings Of Concacaf.
