  • The screeching sound means run. You should have made that clearer ...

  • those gas masks are eerie

  • @IrritatedBear And those are just children's gas masks. You should see their other gas masks, most of which are surplus collectables today and are more intimidating. The Soviets are known for giving everything an eerie look.

  • ANYBODY HAVE THE FEELING THAT PLACE IS SWARMING WITH FUCKING ZOMBIES

  • hm...just googled about the measured radiation. In one place they had 5 millirem = 5 Mikrosievert which is due to wikipedia similar to CT scan in hospital. Means just walking around there for one hour should do no harm at all...correct me if am wrong...

  • Do these guys know anything about radiations???

There is a reason why this area have been evacuated.

  • Its weird how nothing has graffiti on it if it was in the United States it would be covered

  • Nice video, but very unfortunate for the people of chernobyl.

  • Nice video, very cool to see, but sad story.

  • It's not killing, but pretty high. LOL

  • imagine being here at night and hearing all those lost souls screaming for help

  • Gas masks???? Radioactive dust + your lungs = painful death...

  • tick tick tickity means run ur ass outa there

  • 6:27 the meter reads 1337! Ha!

I was reading in a Ukraine travel book that I bought from Barnes and Noble. The reason why they dont wear protective gear is because the radiation you receive at Pripyat or Chernobyl is about the same radiation you receive in a flight from New York to London. You receive more radiation living in Denver Colorado in a year than you would from a week in Pripyat.

  • is this guy dead yet

  • I wonder why they do not wear protection?

  • @schaffergallops its not necessary anymore

  • @somenoobz so why do they claim (or at least rumor) this city to be impossible to dwell in for 1.000.000 years or so?

  • @schaffergallops there were many short living isotopes

  • @somenoobz thanx for the info bro...

  • 6:30 love how he looks down thinking "... fuck it's close to my balls"

  • Dear Santa... i wanna go to chernobyl because i love scary places/things :)

No seriously,i wanna go to chernobyl to see what you fell in.

  • is'nt it still radioactive??

  • The school looks like the same in Silent hill game

  • "The emergencies ministry considers its order to be legal as it was registered at the Justice Ministry and agreed with the number of interested power authorities, in particular, the Security Service, the Health Ministry, the State Inspectorate for Nuclear Regulation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," the ministry said.

  • Trips to Chornobyl through travel operators canceled

Ukraine's Emergencies Ministry has cancelled trips to the Chornobyl exclusion zone through travel operators, the ministry's press service has reported.

The decision is related to the fact that the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine contested a ministry's order that approved a procedure for visiting the exclusion zone.

  • @snigblower what is the theme name at 8:11 ?

  • @egdqv13234

    A Communist anthem - The Internationale :-)

  • 50.000 used to live here, now its a ghost town. cod 4 -macmillian-

  • You guys just want to get bigger balls (;

  • You have no idea how surreal this is for me...to see these videos is almost too much. Your videos are treasures. Thank you so much for sharing them, I'm really grateful. "The best 10 years of their lives" spent at that school....the same toys all over the country...as an American, it is inconceivable to imagine all this...

  • Ok, lets see. I want to go to Tshcernobyl maybe in August 2011...with your travel agency. I only have to see how to travel to Kiev....from Germany/Düsseldorf

  • @OnTourWithGerrit take a direct flight - it's easy

  • @snigblower We have to go via Wien from Duesseldorf to Kiev. With Austrian Airways. This is the cheapest Choice. And we will come in the beginning of Septembre. With one private Guide from Your Travel Agency.

  • @OnTourWithGerrit Is Prypiat opened for turists ?

  • I cant understand why the buildings and contents have decayed so much...its like someone came by and smashed every window and set alight to contents or sprayed everything with water so it would rust.

  • I wish Americans wouldn't type things. They need to be looked after by carers.

  • I remember hearing about this as a child. and being glad it did not happen in the U.S.A., because we were the GOOD GUYS. WHAT ABOUT NOW?

D.U.! DEPLETED URANIUM KOSOVO & IRAQ

P.S. INSTEAD OF THUMBS DOWN JUST LOOK INTO IT. HUH?

  • @thoughtcriminal1776 DU is fine. It's not even listed as harmful by the WHO.

  • @thomasmc14 DU is safe until it's used in armor penetrators, the US has estimated to have used over 320,000 tons of DU in the gulf war which has been blamed for the Gulf War Syndrome. oh and you should find the bbc radio 4 interview with dr. keith baverstock,

  • @MrDroopdog1 DU has been tested and rated in normal use and military use an in no case has it ever produced the Rads or anything else to be harmful to people or the enviroment, the only reason we keep places that have been used with DU locked up is because the UN has policies in place. Other then that DU has as far not been proven by any nation to have a negative affect for the short amount of time in place.

  • @Kilo19soldier the rads are save to be around but they use it as armor penetrators and when used, upon contact it become's radioactive dust and when breathed in causes internal contamination which is impossible to be removed. it's kind of like how uranium ore has low radiation levels but it decays into radon gas and when breathed it turns into radioactive metal in your lungs. not exactly the same but closest example i could give, sorry.

  • can we rebuild that city again?....its look so beautiful place...

  • 7:31 that noise is so ..scary:S

  • what happens if you lick the soil?

  • @ohdudez you'll probably get radiation poisoning... specially the soil is very irradiated

  • Is it possible to tour places like the machine graveyard and Duga 3?

  • if theres still that much radiation in the steel why would you go near it???????

is your health not worth looking after????

  • if theres still that much radiation in the steel why would you go near it???????

  • why does the radioactivity stick to the soil???

  • Respond to this video... radionuclides have weight (btw heavier then metal) so they fall down - of course they are so small that can be easily taken by wind and dust - but normally they sink in the ground (down to the underground water) - they figured on average 4 cm per year - in any case they are moving that's why you can't just barrie them - you need to store them in a waterproof cement containers

  • oh my god i saw your videos on TV . N24 German Channel.

I think about to take a tour to prypiat, but i think for me (i'm 16) its not very good, because the radioactivity.

  • 50.000 people used to live here, now its a Ghost Town.....

  • Thanks for the tour. I like your car by the way.

  • piano is pretty messed up :D

  • it shows you what the world will be like 50 odd year after (and if) a nucular war broke out... creepy stuff

  • why the vehiles are so messed up?

  • @dikkefuck123456789 Radioactivity and plus the explosion.

  • @dikkefuck123456789 Because they have been sitting there for 25 years.

  • @dikkefuck123456789 steel catches up radioactivity with ease

  • im a Ukrainian and i was born 10 years after this happened. Exact Day

  • it's not a song just few notes without a name

  • whats the song yuriy plays on the piano?? i need to know!!

  • aren´t the toys that you found at 3:58 hot spots??

  • i love the poster imagery, that sort of craft is largely lost and replaced by douchey laptops with a picture of a fruit on the back.

  • This is Soviet Union

  • imagine the whole world would be as dead as this if humanity just disappeared. crazy imagination

  • 6:26 1337! :P

  • ive always wanted to go to Chernobyl, Pripyat. going into the apartements and the theme park... its so scary... and when you played the piano.. that piano song was creepy :P

  • the piano is very spooky. it sounds like a horror scenery.. oh i think it is a horror scenery there... whats the name of the song you play?

  • the piano is very spooky. it sounds like a horror scenery.. oh i think it is a horror scenery there.

  • i want to go to that machine grave yard someday..... i remember the first time i learned about the Chernobyl area was when my father told me about how they have to check the radiation levels in the metal in the machine shop he worked at due to the looting and metal taken from the buildings after the disaster. we dont get that often but its not as rare of an occurrence as most people would think

  • how is this possible u just walking like that without gasmask etc... I think it´s very dangerous for ur body, isn´t it ?

  • @Dejanthedj

hard to talk with a gas mask on - usually we wear them in the places like this :)

  • @Dejanthedj a gasmask doesnt stop radiation, it will stop most of the radioactive gasses entering your airways but thats it.

  • Don't you worry about being exposed to that radiation?

  • @macboyau

The exposure itself is harmless but we do worry not to get contaminated sh..t on our clothes or worse inside our bodies - that's why sometimes it's better to wear dust masks and always good boots, long sleeves etc
